Bike Source was one of the sponsors at the Ramblin’ Rose triathlon I recently completed in Huntersville. They had a booth set up to check bikes before the triathlon began. During the triathlon, I got a flat tire. Mark Axland came by on his bike, and fixed the flat. Because of Mark and Bike Source, I was able to finish the triathlon. A big thank you to both Mark and Bike Source for their time and sponsorship.

My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars on bikes from BikeSource over the years. Most recently we purchased a specialized mountain bike for our daughter for her 10^th birthday. After adding a drink holder, bell and kickstand, our purchase was over $ 500. Unfortunately, the new bike was stolen from our garage ten days later. I decided to replace the bike for our daughter and went to BikeSource this past Saturday. After explaining what happened, I asked the person helping us to look up the size and model bike so we could purchase a replacement. I paid for the bike, ran a few errands while the bike was being prepared, and it wasn’t until we got home that we discovered there was no kickstand. After calling to complain about this oversight, I was told to bring the bike in the next day. So I loaded the bike back in my car, drove to the store to have the kickstand installed and was charged $ 6 for the inconvenience. I don’t mind paying for quality, but I refuse to be nickel & dimed in the process. I hope the $ 6 was worth losing a customer

I bought a couple of bikes at BikeSource back in late April and since then I’ve been back at least 5 – 6 times for maintenance, accessories, etc.
I have had a pleasant experience each time I’ve been at BikeSource and at no time did I find the sales folks rude — for the most part, all the reps I have ever spoken with are helpful and quick to explain things. I usually don’t wear a stopwatch, but I think any of the negative reviews I’ve seen from others regarding the sales reps not being fast enough are a bit extreme. If the shop is busy then obviously it will take longer to be helped… Not rocket science.
I would recommend this place to a friend and to anyone who wants to get out there and hit the trails but needs to buy a few things first. Seems like everything I’ve bought from BikeSource has been fairly priced and has always worked as described when I needed it.

Has a large selection. We are beginners and have been shopping around NC. We were very interested in a couple of bikes they had advertised for sale. It took awhile for someone to offer us help, which was fine because we needed a minute to talk anyway, but this fucking guy-​there are no words. Actually, there are: first off, he simply dismissed my husband. He showed me a couple options but when I asked him specific questions he kind of him-​hawed and then left «to check» something for me. The prices advertised were not the same in store but we didn’t get a chance to ask because we realized after awhile that we were just dropped, kind of like that one time I tried to hang out with the popular kids in middle school. I wish I got this fuckers name, seemed like other people in store were having a better experience. We wont be spending our money here.

Walked in interested in a bike after many many years of not riding. The idea was to get a hybrid/​commuter bike, and their staff was very friendly and helpful. They have all types of bikes, from beginners to pros, but you never feel intimidated here. I bought a bike (which I love!) and they held it for pickup until a few days later when It made the most sense for me. Just overall a good experience and I got a great product out of it.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Went in needing new tires to train on and they helped me find a good balance between flat protection and durability also at a great price. I also pickud up some winter bib tights, they didn’t have my size but quickly got them in from one of their other stores. Thanks guys, I’ll be back!

I’ve bought about 5 or 6 bikes with y’all since 2008, and that ought to speak for itself. I keep coming back to Bike Source because you sell bikes and products that I love (Specialized bikes are amazing), and your service after the sale is fantastic. Your employees are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful — it’s like the hat trick of customer experience wins. You keep doing what you do, and I’ll keep buying stuff from y’all.

They love to lie to you and please do not trust anything they tell you. This is the second time I have tried to use them. The first time was my roommate and I wanted to purchase a tire for a older bike. They told him no problem and it would be around a week or so. We called them and went over there. The parts person tried to find the tire and brought it to us. I was the wrong tire. We had to order it again.
The second time I called about truing up my back rim. I explained this bike was my only transportation and I needed it. I ask about a good time to bring the wheel over. He said anytime and I ask how long would it take. He stated 15 mins and it would cost 15.00. I went over there the next day and was told to leave it and pick it up tomorrow. I told them I had called and was told different. I was pissed and told them I would never come back in there aging. One sales person made a lame excuse. No body seem to give a damn about me. So never trust them and be careful because they love to lie to you.

best bike shop in the area!!! From selection to service to consultation, this LBS is AWESOME! The staff are all riders & many are or have been accomplished racers who can advise you on all of your bike related questions! They are friendly & professional! The Service Dept is fast, thorough, and does not over-​sell or charge for service. This is an excellent retailer for all your bicycling needs! Check them OUT!!!

I bought my bike here and it was a big investment but their customer service post purchase have made me feel really good about my purchase.
First visit they fixed my bike for free since it was such a minor issue.
Second time I got a complete overhaul after I had rode my bike hard and put it away wet for a year. I paid I think like 70 – 80 bucks and they handed back a brand new bike.

A+++ customer service. I took in my daughter’s stroller, one of the three-​wheeled jogging ones, because the front tire had come off the axle. I didn’t know what else to do, and the tire looked like a small version of a bicycle tire, so I figured I’d give it a shot. The guys in the service area were great. They didn’t blink when I explained the problem and that I didn’t know where else to go. The took the tire apart, realized that the bearings were shot and went to work trying to figure out what size they were. They were able to determine the size, locate two of them in the shop and had the old ones popped out and the new ones pressed in in about 20 minutes. Total cost was around $ 30! This was a $ 200+ stroller that the manufacturer couldn’t service. Without their help, it was probably going in the trash.
I can’t comment about the bikes they sell (I’m not a bike guy), but I know good service when I see it. When my daughter graduates from the stroller to a bike, BikeSource is where we’ll be going.

First time here. I was recommended by a coworker because I want to start riding my bike to work. I must say I am very impressed. I came with my wife and kids and when I arrived we were not bum rushed. I like that a great deal. We were allowed to browse and this was great.
We were eventually asked if we needed help and the sales person that came to assist was very kind, informed, and professional. Bikes have come a long way and I wasn’t used to a bike costing what they do now but the value of these bikes were well explained and I can see why many love the sport and this place.
From what I saw this is the place to be and those in the know… which I wasn’t all knew this place has «it». I bought a bike and had a different color special ordered.
I am a newbie, and I highly recommend this store.

This is place is great!!! I bought my second mountain bike from here. From the second I enter the shop I was treated with respect. Donald helped me with my Rock Hopper; he took his time explaining the different components on the bike and different options. He was very patient and helpful. Never pushy to sell me a bike, he genuinely wanted to help me. I love the bike and feel good about my purchase. Thanks Donald. After a week I heard a weird noise from the brakes, the guys there were super friendly. They adjusted the brakes and fixed the problem. Every time I go there, they have excellent products and the customer service to match. I live in the UNCC area and gladly would drive down there any day of the week. The service is unbeatable and the merchandise is superb. The best bike shop in Charlotte!

Bike stored help me out with some issues on my broken bike.
I didn’t buy a bike from this store, but I did use there service department. The guys in the back were very friendly, and help me diagnose the broken part quickly. These guys are all very knowledgeable. Not once, I did I feel I was getting the run around. They were direct and honest.
I’ll becoming back here for my bike service needs.

I took my bike in for a tune up. The work on the bike was fine, but the staff I dealt with treated me like I was an idiot or a liar when I explained that the seat bag that was on the bike when I dropped it off had not been put back on. After a call to the manager, they finally found the bag, but I had to make a second trip to the shop to get it. I appreciated the manager’s attention to the problem, but the service person’s attitude turned what could have been a minor problem into a major one. I’m going to look for a shop where customer relations are a higher priority.

Took in a 1997 Specialized that had fallen into severe disrepair. Was seeking to rebuild it so a young friend could learn to mountain bike at low start up costs. The tech did an excellent job what repairs were required to insure it could safely be ridden. The repairs were done quickly and exactly on budget. The bike looks and rides great. Thanks for a job well done!

Great shop, awesome staff, sweet selection of every kind of bike. Mike Harvey is great and super helpful make sure to ask for him. He took time to really help my wife find a new brain catcher and was super great with my little 1.5 year old son. Definitely recommend Bike Source!

Great Service.
I rode my bike there from ballantyne and ended up getting there 20mins before they opened. I was able to get my bike in right away for a tuneup. They were able to fully service and clean my bike in under an hour and a half. The bike felt like a champ when I left and I road it uptown. Glad to have found a great place in Charlotte to take my bicycle and I will definitely be going back.
The staff was friendly and attentive for the duration of my visit.

Ton of selection here, but the few times I’ve been in here I got the ‘stare-​down’ from employees and I waited for them to approach me to see if I had any questions. After some browsing on my own, no one wanted to help me so I just left. I felt like they were watching me the whole time too.
It’s one thing if the store is busy, I can understand not being friendly and helpful, but I really felt like I was not welcomed there at all. It may have been an «off» day for some employees so I will give them another shot (4^th time’s the charm right?)

Great location, great stock of bikes and accessories… I’m a fan!
When the weather is warm, I love riding my bike. During one of my rides, my husband and I passed by BikeSource. We stopped in spontaneously to fix a kickstand and saw off an old broken lock… within 10 minutes or so and $ 10 later they did the jobs and we were on our way. I had no idea that they also had a little repair shop in there… they do and it’s quite large too!
The staff were really friendly too.
This Park Road Shopping Center parking lot always makes me nervous, in a car, on a bike, or walking… be careful and look both ways!
