It’s our goal at E=MC2 to inspire the young minds of our students and to help each child become a life-​long learner. We strive to provide students with the foundational skills they will need to achieve their dreams. We don’t teach to improve test scores; we teach to create the next generation of problem-​solvers, dreamers and doers. Life is not a spectator sport and we want all of our students to have the knowledge, drive and support necessary to be successful.

Business Owner

I am from Asheville, North Carolina where the majority of my childhood was spent at the local elementary school. My grandmother was a Teacher’s Assistant and my mom later became one of the most sought after Kindergarten teachers in the area. Education has always been, and will continue to be, an integral part of my life.

I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2003 to study business at UNC-​Charlotte. After double majoring in Marketing and Public Relations, I spent several years working in corporate advertising and marketing. I was called back to my educational roots after two years of volunteering with homeless children in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. I soon returned to UNC-​Charlotte to complete my graduate certificate in Elementary Education.

The creation of E=MC2 stems from my love of children. My vision for E=MC2 is to provide an opportunity for students to see that learning can be fun and to ensure all children have the opportunity become successful, life-​long learners.
