Elite Event: Brinner at Leroy Fox

Awesome event for a newbie Unilocaler. I want to say thanks for having the event and letting me tag along on the tails of a Unilocaler elite. It was great to see people that actually enjoy dressing up for fun and go out for evening, PJ’s was great choice to get a bunch of people involve on any level they are comfortable with.
The drink sampler was awesome, I really enjoy getting the chance to talk with the New Belgium guy and sample some crazy weird beers. The food hit the spot too. My favorite would have to be the casserole.
All and All is was great night, and a really fun time meeting new people in great attire.

Great Mimosas, yummy light bites, and super cool Elites to mingle with! What more could you ask for? I am a fan of Leroy Fox and they graciously brought out plenty of brunchy snacks — my favs included the chicken biscuits and French toast sticks.
Thanks Ben for arranging this fun soirée, and thanks to Leroy Fox for hosting and New Belgium for providing the beer, and of course Poprock for the photos! BTW, we will miss you Ben & JJ!

Nothing like PJ’s in public and mimosas at night for a great Unilocal event. Leroy Fox is place with a great sense of humor and some killer fried chicken. Can’t wait to come back for a full meal. My plus one loved the New Belguim lesser known beer offerings and talked Alex from New Belguim’s ear off– thanks for your patience New Belguim man.
Loved the yogurt (who knew?), breakfast deliciousness casserole and chicken biscuits. And a girl has got to have her bubbly!
Bonus– boyfriend won the male costume contest! Guess I can take him some places. Ben you will be missed but what a great send off!

What a fun and unique idea! Showing up in pj style clothing for breakfast dishes and mimosas! The food came out well timed, one delicious sampling followed by the next. My husband didn’t opt for the beermosa, but enjoyed trying the new beers sans orange juice.
I am especially glad that I attended this event, because it was an unexpected farewell to Ben and J.J. You two are the host and hostess with the mostest and will truely be missed. Thank you for your superb hospitality at each event. I can’t give this 5 stars because you are leaving and that makes me sad. Best of luck!

The roomie and I had such a great time with Unilocal Elite at Leroy Fox! This was my second event and almost as amazing as the first. First things first loved that so many people got into the spirit of things and wore their pj’s :-) Secondly the mimosas were some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant! The girl making them was awesome and definitely not chincy with prosecco. I did not get a chance to try the beer or the beermosas (which I’ve had before) but I hear they were great… I was rather focused on the regular mimosas and I’m a lightweight lol.
The food was really good. I wasn’t all that fond of the yogurt course, actually neither of us were but it wasn’t bad. Just not really what we were in the mood for. The breakfast casserole however was to die for! Seriously we tried it twice it was so good! The chicken biscuits were good and the french toast also was good. However the highlight was the breakfast casserole!
The location was amazing and the staff very friendly. The one bartender in particular was a smarta** but in a really funny way which I could appreciate. I met a few new people and caught up with some people I already knew. All in all it was a great time!
Ben and JJ good luck in Atlanta… really hope you enjoy it and they are so lucky to get you guys!!! Those shoes are going to be hard to fill as Ben was so welcoming and amazing (he always remembers who I am)!!

First many thanks to Ben and JJ for finally giving me a perfect excuse to show off my new snazzy Hello Kitty pjs!!! I really loved the lazy Sunday theme! It was so much fun seeing everyone in their pjs, slippers and robes enjoying mimosas and munching on snacks.
Now let the waterworks begin…
I can’t believe that this will be the last time I partyyy it up with Ben and JJ… you guys have been really awesome! I really can’t thank you enough for making my transition to Charlotte so much freaking fun! As you already know and are about to find out again… moving to a new city can be overwhleming… but when you meet amazing people like Amy C, Michelle P (and bf) Stephanie L and Tonya P you slowly start to realize that everything will be just fine in your new city. And that there really are people who love eating as much as you do! So for that I’m forever grateful!
I hate to see you guys go, but I know this is for the best and I wish you both nothing but the VERY BEST.
You guys deserve it! And you really will be missed! :)

What better way to wind down a Sunday than hanging out in your best lounge wear with a bottomless Mimosa and «Beer-​mosa» fountain and scores of Unilocaly friends? Oh yeah, that’s right, add in some tasty breakfast nosh from the stylish Leroy Fox and loosen up that belt around your housecoat: it was time for a chow down.
Another great Elite event with plenty of drinks and food for sampling. Hats off to New Belgium for stopping by with loads of beer, including more than a few limited release beers from their Flaming Lips series. Beer brewed with coconut curry? How about one brewed with a little Yuzu sauce, or orange peel? Even their pumpkin ale was chock full of fruit and flavors that might even get a skeptic to raise an eyebrow, but all were quite tasty. Beer-​mosas might have been the highlight, but miss these brews at your own peril.
Cheers to the kitchen at Leroy Fox too. Loved the passed trays of sampling cups and plates, particularly the chicken biscuits and french toast sticks. Breakfast for dinner is never a bad idea, but it’s especially nice when we got to try a number of different options from the kitchen here.
And the crowd, as always, was a fine mix, with everyone interpreting lounge wear in their own special way. Adult onesies with full-​on footies? Yes, we had some of those. Along with enough plush slippers to make any regular restaurant patron think they just walked into a furry-​fetish mixer. Luckily Tonya from Poprock was there to capture the moments for all to see.
All good for this Elite crew, who know how to do a theme party right. Thanks to our CM Ben and the always lovely JJ for pulling it together for us one last time. Good people, great drinks, nice eats… that’s how it’s done right.

The Bearded One takes his bow as the Charlotte Unilocal CM, but luckily we have those yummy Beermosas to wash it all down.
Wait? What? A Beermosa? Sure, just add a splash of OJ to top off your Belgian-​style beer. Amazingly works great, though as my man E pointed out, it’s not that far of a stretch if you think about the orange slice in Blue Moon.
Regardless, once the Beermosas were flowing — and had moved from «what, beer and orange juice?» to «not bad» to «that’s pretty good, can I have another?» — the food started coming, and the yogurt parfaits, breakfast casserole and french toast sticks, accompanied with chicken biscuits made for a nice brunch at dinner to send off our friend Ben.
A good portion of the crowd showed up in their bedtime best, making it that much easier to crawl into whatever hole they found after a night of Beermosa and mimosa drinking. Even long-​missing QC stalwart Jimmy D. showed up to put in an appearance. Or to throw in his hat for the soon-​to-​be vacant CM position (you can never be sure with him — he may have also needed to get his iPhone fixed at our shiny new Apple store).
Whatever the case, a good time was had by all, and Leroy Fox provided a fine locale for us to drown our sorrows in losing the guidance of Ben — and the able check-​in assistance of JJ, of course. They will surely be missed.

Oh my oh my! What a fun Sunday night spent with friends and mimosas.
This was one of my favorite ones, and it’s not just because I won «Best Dressed Female». It was those bunny slippers that helped me out there FO SHO.
Ben and JJ have so much heart in these parties and it shows. I cant imagine putting these shindigs together to showcase the best of what Charlotte has to offer is easy, but you can tell that Ben and «The Unilocal Wife» are totally into it. They shall be missed and not easily replaced.
Back to Leroy Fox… ample pours for the breakfast drinks; mimosas and $ 4 Bloody Mary’s (on Sundays). Yay! Good way to wake up or end the day, frankly.
We snacked on French toast sticks, egg-​y casserole that was right up my ally (I hate 2.5 cups) and chicken biscuits that were just the right amount of butter and a great texture. Everything really was great.
The big plus was being comfy and taking over Leroy’s in our PJs. Ill feel odd when I go back there in my jeans.

Another lovely Elite event. Food, beer, and friends! This was a nice introduction to Leroy Fox, who provided some yummy food. I tried the breakfast casserole, french toast sticks and a biscuit (sans chicken) and all were very tasty. Had a few New Belgium sponsored beermosas to top it all off and tried their pumpkin beer, so good.
I’m gonna miss Ben G and JJ! Thanks for all the great events and friendship! Hope to see you around!

This was my first elite event and it was 752% better than I expected!
Leroy Fox provided us with some awesome mimosas, strayberry yogurt parfaits, breakfast casserole, french toast sticks and how could I forget the chicken biscuits?!
New Belgium allowed us some amazing samples of their beers. I especially loved the Lips of Faith batches… I loved the Yuzu Imperial Weisse and the Heavenly Feijoa.
Super excited to keep on Unilocaling and continuing to attend these awesome events!
