History

Established in 2006.

Engel & Völkers has a rich past full of luxury real estate and international prestige. Founded in 1977 in Hamburg, Germany, the brand quickly expanded into North America and currently operates in 39 countries on five continents. Engel & Völkers was brought to Charlotte, North Carolina, USA in 2015 by Yuriy Vaynshteyn, the visionary behind Carolinas Metro Realty, a boutique property management and real estate sales company in Charlotte.

Business Owner

Yuriy Vaynshteyn is the owner of Engel & Völkers South Charlotte, the area’s luxury international real estate firm. He was the previous owner of Carolinas Metro Realty, which joined the Engel & Völkers brand in August of 2015. Throughout his years of real estate leadership, Yuriy has supported teams of top producing agents, full-​time employees and experienced brokers in two locations, specializing in residential and commercial REOs, short sales, property management, relocation, and general brokerage.

Yuriy has been a Charlotte resident since 1991 and is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

As involved as he is with his business, Yuriy is dedicated to his three children and wife. He enjoys skiing and being active in the community through Realtors Care Day. Yuriy is also bilingual, speaking English and Russian

Hermann Rupprecht is the utmost Professional realtor one can find in the Charlotte Community. He will take the same time with you whether you are a small buyer or a BIG seller. He hears exactly what you are looking for and connects you with emails daily to let you be the first to know. He has personally spent his days driving me all around the Charlotte Community, from Ballantyne, Southpark, Matthews and the University area. Hermann has patiently showed me everything I was even curious about. Just recently, through Hermann I found my place. I didn’t believe it could be mine considering my financial position. Hermann had my new home purchased for me by the time we hit the first red light. In addition to everything he offers his clients, his company is there to always lend a hand. We have been clients of Carolinas Metro Realty for some time now and since we just completed a house sale with them felt it was time to let the world know about our positive experience. We have been lucky enough to work with Luda, one of the owners of the company, for most of our needs. First Luda helped us with the management of one of our rental units. She put out an incredible amount of online advertising that always secured us a tenant within a month of a tenant moving out. Her screening process was very thorough and we always felt comfortable with the tenant that was moving in. Currently we have 2 tenants in 2 units that have been with us for 3+ and 4+ years because the fit was so good. Most recently Luda helped us out with the sale of our primary residence during a relocation. She went above and beyond in the following ways — helping make decisions on how to cost efficiently prepare the house for sale, working with contractors, staging the house using her company’s personal effects, and providing solid advice during the negotiation process to allow the deal to go through smoothly. Since we were out of town during closing Luda ‘made it happen’ while we were sipping margaritas at the beach. What could be better? We would not hesitate to recommend Luda or anyone at the Carolinas Metro Realty team for property management or the buying or selling of your home.
