I spend a lot of time at 7th St Public Market and often search for an easy lunch option that’s close to homebase for the day. Fran’s had been on my radar for a while and was a great choice for my lunch meeting with a friend. Much like Fran’s location on Park Rd, some familiar concoctions are made up in the market for some fast lunchtime fare. The menu has a little bit of a different take from the other location, but makes for a more accessible quick bite. I checked out the Alice’s Favorite — Turkey, Gouda, pickles, banana peppers, onion, and tomatoes. Pretty simple and nothing out of the ordinary. I think for the price, it was reminiscent of a homemade turkey sammich. Nothing to really write home about. I also ordered a side of the bacon-wrapped tots. I thought, «Whoa! These HAVE to be amazing!» but they were a little lackluster. They were served on a paper plate, on a bed of lettuce, with some obligatory red, sweet sauce. I wasn’t thrilled with these and definitely wouldn’t order them again. I think they could use a little tweaking. Pretty cool that you can order, take a seat anywhere in the market, and the staff will bring you your food. Nice touch! Fran’s is an easy choice for lunch and you can definitely find something you like here! I’m looking forward to checking out something else on the menu upon next visit.
