Homewood Suites By Hilton

My family and I just spent some time during the Thanksgiving weekend in the Queen City” of Charlotte, NC. Some good friends of ours recommended the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, known for its location to attractions, shopping and peacefulness. After looking at a few choices we decided that we would stay at the Homewood Suites.
This new all suite property is located within the fabulous Toringdon Circle and Ballantyne Village Shopping area. The hotel is within easy walking distance of various restaurants and wine bars. Upon pulling up I could tell this was not a «normal» Homewood Suites experience {although the normal experience is usually very nice also !}. A scenic water display was adjacent to the driveway.
Upon entering, the modern huge public lobby/​dining areas reminded me of a luxurious mountain lodge. Replete with fireplace and woodsy accents. I loved the little private alcoves in the lobby where you could relax with your own flat screen and enot a cup of coffee, hot tea or my lil girl’s favorite, hot cocoa! The business center has full size Apple Macs for their guests to utilize.
Check in was friendly with a dash of that famous southern charm that Charlotte is known for. Our suite was very modern and of a trendy design aesthetic. Big and roomy for us 3. Full kitchen with beautiful granite counters. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. All the furnishings had a very high end feel to them. The shower reminded me of a spa alcove. I wanted to just cocoon in the suite all day but I had to get a work out in. The gym was perfect. New Precor machines and plenty of free weights. I could have also chosen to take advantage of a free pass the hotel has arranged with the LA Fitness gym within walking distance of the hotel in the shopping center. Maybe next time.

Came here for some business training with my family and I have NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY about this place.

If you’re looking for a place where your loved ones can stay comfortable and safe as you go about your business this is the place, it was worth EVERY PENNY.

This Place is awesome, guest service was knowledgeable and friendly and best of all the place is über clean. I couldn’t find a speck of dirt anywhere. Only a few minutes drive to Downtown Charlotte and the SouthPark Mall. I had a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone; it’s pretty affordable as well.

Very nice hotel for the price! It’s a new property, staff is friendly, breakfast is complimentary, and we got a king suite with pull-​out couch. Perfect for a quick night stay on our road trip with the family.

What a nice place! Rooms were new. Breakfast was hot. People were nice. It’s not the Ritz, but you’re not paying for the Ritz.
This was my first Homewood Suites expereince and I’ll look into it again

We just came to Charlotte for the weekend. this hotel is a real find. Very clean and well decorated. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and very attractive room designs. the suites are very well appointed. This hotel is a great value for the money.

This hotel was a home-​away-​from-​home for me. Quite literally.
My apartment flooded. Homewood Suites became my home for roughly two weeks. I walked in on a Saturday, got a room for two nights. Had a work trip, came back to Charlotte stayed for a week and a half.
I completely fell in love with the staff here. The kitchen ladies are sweet, and put up with my sleepy behind every morning (complimentary breakfast!) and they even realized that I can eat my weight in bacon, and made sure I got some of the super crispy pieces, my favorite. The front desk staff is fantastic — Amy, Trey and Kevin in particular made me feel welcome and answered every question I had.
The fitness center is great, I ran and lifted a few times in there — they’ll give you headphones at the front desk. The pool is outdoor, but looks lovely. I was here so long I even did some laundry, the dispensing machine ate my money, but Amy was quick with sympathy and quarters, haha.
I did have to move my room once due to noise, the room next to mine was having loud «adult activities» late into the night and early the next morning. I was at the front desk and moved into a new room by 7:15am, with apologies for the inconvenience from the staff.
I’ll definitely recommend this hotel to others, they fill up fast though because of corporate visitors. Make sure to collect your hilton points and grab some bacon for breakfast.

I was impressed as soon as I arrived. The young man greeted me with a smile and had everything ready for me after they got my last name. The room is a nice studio with a kitchenette. It even has a dishwasher if you are eating in. It’s in a new part of town with the largest LA Fitness I’ve ever seen. There’s a Thai food place, burger joint, and a Peruvian restaurant in the same center. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in town for business or with the family.

It was our first visit to Homewood Suites. We stayed one night while celebrating our Anniversary. We had a one bedroom suite which had everything we needed. The hotel was in great shape (I think it is brand new) and very clean. They had a nice 24 hour fitness center, a good looking pool (though we didn’t use it), big walk in showers, etc… We didn’t use the wifi or eat any food (they have breakfast and even dinner Monday — Thursday) so I can’t really comment in that regard. There were good restaurants right next door (Ruby Tuesday and Hickory Tavern for example) and it was a nice area in general. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a paved walking trail basically right off the hotel parking lot:

I stay in Hampton and Holiday Inns a lot for work but I’ll be on the lookout for Homewood Suites now as well. My only complaint was that it was a bit pricey but this may be in line with area hotels and I was okay with it for our one night.
