What is Jazzercise?

Burn up to 600 calories in one fun and powerfully effective 60-​minute total body workout. Every Jazzercise group dance fitness class combines dance-​based cardio with strength training and stretching to sculpt, tone and lengthen muscles for maximum fat burn.

Choreographed to today’s hottest music, Jazzercise is a fusion of jazz dance, aerobic exercise, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, and kickboxing. Start dancing yourself fit and change the shape of your body today!

Class formats Fusion, Strike, Core, Strength60 and Strength45.

History

Established in 2003.

Jazzercise has been around since 1969. This particular Jazzercise Center has been in Charlotte since 2003. Our fitness program is for all ages and fitness levels. We use hip hop, rock n’ roll, country, jazz and all top 40 music. The movements are dance based and we are always teaching the latest steps. A one hour class includes, aerobics, pilates, strength training and yoga. Bring a set of hand weights and a mat. All of our instructors are certified and are committed to the public’s fitness.

Business Owner

Cathy has been teaching Jazzercise for 24 years. She has had 4 different Jazzercise Fitness Centers, in 4 different states including North Carolina. She has a passion for dance and helping others. She had a career as a nurse, but when she discovered Jazzercise, she thought, why not work on the preventative side of the medical field? Jazzercise is great for both her passions.
