Maid Brigade of Charlotte and Vicinity

This company deserves 0 stars. They came to my home on two occasions first as the initial which was not exactly thorough but was assured it would be better the second time.
Wow the second time was ridiculous. They damaged my table to the point of a 500 dollar repair expense refused to admit it which is amazing and when they left they hit our Time Warner box. In both cases they denied it but a neighbor told me he saw the ladies in the Maid Brigade car hit it, step out, look and then get back in and pull off.
After requesting a manager to come out and look at the work and damage. The field manager Kenny Rojos told me they didn’tt do it and I requested their insurance info. I received a letter from the owner Marc Titlebaum stating they did not cause the damage and the insurance company would not be contacting me. In the 20 years that I’ve had cleaning services this is the WORST CLEANING EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had.

I’ve looked for a good maid service for a long. I finally found the best one in this area. They always do an excellent job. Highly recommended.

First off, Maid Brigade is HIGHLY over-​priced.
I found a coupon in Val-​Pak that was $ 99 for a «priority cleaning» for 90 minutes. I thought to myself…“Gee… Our 2 cleaners in California cost $ 100 for our entire house and they usually cleaned our 3BR/​2BA house top to bottom, mopped the floors, dusted, and sometimes cleaned out the fridge too in 90 minutes… so this should work for the whole house!“
So I call for an appointment. The man tells me to prioritize the rooms I wanted cleaned and the cleaners will make their way through and get as far as they can in 90 minutes.
1) They showed up an hour late.
2) The 2 cleaners looked at me like I was crazy when I told them I wanted to prioritize the Master BR, Master Bath, Kitchen, floors, and ½ bath… and if they got to it, the upstairs. They told me right away that the upstairs would not happen. Fine, just clean the main floor.
3) I was upstairs with baby during the cleaning while he napped. The 2 cleaners were vacuuming the floors and BANGING the vacuum against the baseboards and furniture. So much so they dented the baseboards in several places. I am still PISSED about that.
4) 80 minutes in they had already packed up the car and said they were «done» with what I’d asked them to do.
5) I looked at the living room and the couch still had blankets and pillows strewn everywhere. I told them they still had 10 min on the clock and asked them to vacuum and clean up the couch area before they left.
6) They AGAIN looked at me like I was crazy. One of the 2 cleaners mumbled as she went back out to the car to get her vacuum.
7) They finished up, took my check + coupon, and left rolling their eyes at me.
To make matters worse, the owner/​manager quoted me a 2x/​month rate of $ 163 for our whole house based on our square footage. Pure lunacy.
I will NEVER use MB again. I called another service at the recommendation of a mom-​friend and used them last week. They did a walk-​through and quoted me $ 90 for a deep clean first and $ 75 per visit thereafter (we asked to do a deep clean first… she didn’t try to upsell me.) The cleaning woman stayed THREE hours and our house (both upstairs and downstairs!) has never been cleaner. She was a ROCKSTAR and so very sweet. She scrubbed our shower until it shined. We are sticking with her and she’ll be coming every 2 weeks!!! HOORAY!!!

I’ve been calling for days trying to get an estimate for cleaning my house on a regular basis. I did get one return phone call but since I was on the road driving I asked if they would call back a couple hours later when I got back home. They agreed to call back but never did. I’ve tried calling since but this company seems to be a non starter. Maybe I can revise the rating upward at a later date. Since this is a service based business you’d think they’d at least return a phone call.
