Meet the Business Owner

Jill D.

Business Owner

Jill Davis is the Owner/​Managing Member of Snip-​its Haircuts for Kids in Charlotte, NC, as well as Greenville and Lexington, SC. Jill grew up in Greenville, SC and received her degree from Wofford College in 2000. She began her career in the Management Training program of Enterprise Holding Inc. At Enterprise, Jill held the positions of Group Marketing Manger, Regional Sales Manager and Group Business Development Manager, all within the Retail Car Sales division of the company.

In 2010, after having a disappointing first haircut experience with her daughter Piper, Jill saw a need for Lexington to have a salon made just for kids. After researching many franchises, Snip-​its was the clear winner, and the Lexington Salon opened shortly there after in February of 2011.

Pursuing her dreams to be self-​employed and spend more time with her daughter, Jill left Enterprise in 2013 and purchased the Greenville and Charlotte operations in April of the same year. Jill plans to continue openi

We took my 1 year old son to his first haircut and I can say it was one of the better experiences I have with my boy. We wait for a few minutes and my son was greet by Iris I love how she work his hair and how she treat him, he was enjoying his first haircut. Ms Iris and the rest of the staff were very professional and very happy, I will definitely coming back. Love this place I wish it would be like this when I was a kid.

I need to change my review because this establishment is pure craziness. They need to make it appts only. It’s too crowded in there and people show up before opening just to get in. Yes they’re great, hence the total craziness. But seriously it needs to get its act together. If they make appts then it won’t be so crowded and everyone gets in. I skipped going this time because I’m one exhausted parent and I can’t be waking up at the crack of dawn just to get there before opening to avoid waiting for hours. The owner needs to set new rules !!

I took my 10 & 12 year old sons to snip its. I wasn’t sure if they would think they were too old. They loved it and constantly ask when we can go again! Both boys use the styling gel every day. Before they had very little concern about their appearance but to my surprise they really get into going to snip its and even explore with different types of hair cuts.

Because of the other review here on this site, I decided to give Snip-​its a chance and requested Ashley.
I’m glad I did! She was very patient and took her time with my 20 month old son. I’m very happy with his haircut, and he stayed completely entertained enough to stay still during the entire visit.

After many botched attempts at cutting my 14 month old’s hair, I took her to Snip-​its on the advice of a friend. We had to wait a little while, but not too long, and they had games and toys to entertain the kids while they wait. The hairdresser, Ashley (?), was really patient and helped me figure out a long-​term plan of how to deal with my little one’s terrible previous haircuts. She definitely knew what she was doing and was very pleasant. The store’s location was also pretty convenient (right next to Kid-​to-​Kid so we could do some clothes shopping right after the haircut). Importantly, it seems fairly easy to get $ 5.00 off coupons for Snip-​its (typical haircut is around $ 17.00), which makes this place much more reasonable for a child’s haircut.
