Speech Matters, providing Charlotte with quality private speech therapy services to children and adults of all ages, was founded by Ashlyn Lelej, M.S., CCC-​SLP. Located in the Charlotte area, convenient to South Charlotte, Waxhaw, Union County, Ballantyne, Blakeney and Fort Mill areas. It is our goal to provide excellent care from the initial contact through evaluation, treatment and discharge of each client. It is our belief that every person deserves the opportunity to excel and express their unique personality. Speech Matters provides individual and group speech therapy for numerous areas of speech, language, and feeding issues in the Charlotte area. Specific disorders and areas that are addressed are: social skills groups, articulation therapy, speech therapy, learning disorders and Autism. History

Established in 2009.

Speech Matters, providing Charlotte with quality private speech therapy services to children and adults of all ages, was founded by Ashlyn Lelej, M.S., CCC-​SLP. Located in the Charlotte area, we are convenient to South Charlotte, Waxhaw, Union County, Ballantyne, Blakeney and Fort Mill areas. Ashlyn opened Speech Matters with the goal of creating a warm and effective therapy environment while providing quality care and utilizing the latest research and therapy techniques. As part of our mission, it is our goal to provide excellent care from the initial contact through evaluation, treatment and discharge of each client. It is our belief that every person deserves the opportunity to excel and express their unique personality. We will work as a team with the client and family or significant others as well as teachers, physicians and others involved in each client’s care to ensure success during therapy and continued carryover upon discharge.

Business Owner

Ashlyn Lelej, M.S., CCC-​SLP graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Communication Disorders in 1999 and received her Masters of Science in Speech-​Language Pathology in 2002. She is a licensed Speech-​Language Pathologist in North Carolina (#6505) and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Ashlyn has experience in various settings including home health, inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, and private practice. Ashlyn is dedicated to helping children, adults and their families through improved communication and daily living skills.
