I been going to Moore & Associates for more than 15 years. Dr. Moore is the best doctor! I have full confidence in his service. Its because of him using his God given-​gift I see better!

I can’t believe I’ve never written a review for my eye dr! Shame on me!
I’ve been coming here since I moved to Charlotte six years ago and I still love it no matter what doc I’ve seen. Sara is my new favorite and I’ve been her patient for the past three years. She’s fun, relatable, approachable and you can tell she loves what she does. Last year we found out we both got puppies around the same time and we shared stories of how crazy we both were and she actually helped me with what to do! This year we both laughed at our progress and the fact that we didn’t somehow screw up raising our puppies! hahaha!
Wait time is short, office is clean, location is convenient (if you work in Uptown) and the staff are like family now. Great recommendation if you need an eye dr!

Dr. Moore and Dr. Beaver were recommended to me by a friend when I was looking for an Optometrist in the Charlotte area. I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to get me in the next day! :) Just a heads up, if you aren’t familiar with the area finding the office may be a tad confusing but park in the Bank of America parking garage. Your parking will be validated. The office was very clean and the staff professional, helpful, and nice. I loved Dr. Beaver. She’s very thorough, sweet, and is great with explanations and speaking with you regarding your concerns. The opticians are great as well. I highly recommend them for anyone who’s looking for an exam or glasses.

Made an appointment with Dr. Moore and when I showed up for my appointment it had been switched to Dr. Beaver without notification. I believe because she was new and needed clients. Dr. Beaver was excellent, but you need to ask permission before making changes.
Blood pressure reading was input in my chart before taking my blood pressure. Unethical?
Spent $ 1250 on a new pair of glasses and they didn’t fit. Had to start the process all over again.
Mistakes happen, I get it, but three strikes and your out.

Just had my second annual eye exam apt with Dr. Sara Beaver. She is a very upbeat person and is very helpful answering questions, etc. Would highly recommend.
Edited down from 5 stars: The Dr visits are fine, but the bookkeeping is a mess. I walked out of my annual eye exam in 2015 paid in full, evidenced by my receipt. After my 2016 eye exam, I was told I had a small balance on my account? Huh? Apparently, the person put in the wrong insurance discount on my account in 2015 and they substituted a smaller discount after a I left, causing a balance. I was never contacted at all in 2015 of any issues. In 2016, they charged me for not only the regular annual exam fee, but the 2015 balance I knew nothing about. Now, my flex spending account won’t pay the small balance because the service date of that expense was in 2015 but the expense was in 2016! Now I have to pay the flex spending account out of my own pocket when I could have funded it with that account!!! What a pain in the neck and it’s not my fault. They should have just eaten the small balance since it was their fault. Looking for another Dr.

Admittedly, this place is a pain in the patootie to find. If you’re not familiar with the area and the parking situation, you might find yourself a little lost and annoyed, especially since parking isn’t free. You have to park at the Bank of America Center parking (6^th floor) and then walk in through the weird motion-​sensor double doors that both swing open when you get close. Walk all the way forward through the lobby and over the skybridge (either one) into the «plaza» area. Ignore all the signs, as none of them will say any names of any place that will help you. With the parking area and skybridge behind you, Steven Moore will be on the left side of the plaza.
I was immediately greeted upon walking in and taken over to the opticians. Right away, the woman helping me expertly recognized the features of my face that significantly narrowed down my eyeglass search. I’m Asian, so the bridge of my nose doesn’t do anything to help prop up regular frames, especially if there is no nose piece. I’ve also got a rounder face, which means I can’t wear those stupid cute little petite frames or the cat eye frames that are annoyingly popular and pervasive right now. But I didn’t have to say any of these things. It wasn’t an airheaded sales person who just absent-​mindedly pointed me to whatever was in style. She actually did her job. YAY.
The customer service was excellent, and they have a huge selection of frames for every kind of face. I was so pleased. I wanted to shop around a little more, but I decided I’d stop right here. She was upfront with the cost of the lenses, frames, everything. She pulled up my insurance right away and explained very clearly the pros and cons of this or that. We found a nice plastic frame for me, which usually is a no-​go for ye olde Asian face, but she mentioned that we can actually get a nose piece added to it. YES. Sold.
Highly recommend! I can’t wait to get my glasses!

I look forward to my annual eye appointment at the office of Dr. Steven C. Moore. The staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. The timeliness of my appointment is on target. I enjoy the dialog with Dr. Moore. He is very personable and knowledgeable with a no nonsense approach to his practice. I have been a long time patient and plan to continue the annual tradition.

I switched to the Dr Steven Moore & Associates practice because a friend recommended Dr Sara Beaver. I haven’t regretted making the switch. My wait time is minimal and the staff is friendly and very helpful. But the best part is Dr Beaver. She is a breath of fresh air and very knowledgable. All my questions were answered and my appointment was not rushed. I like the lines they carry for eye glasses. Maddy is a big help in the optical department.

Dr Moore is the best eye doctor I have ever been to and his staff is great also! I’ve been going there for a few years now and won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Moore’s office is amazing. I have been going to his office for 6 years. Everyone in the office is helpful. The location is great if you are a working professional in the uptown area. Making an appointment is easy, you receive smiles when you arrive and check-​out is swift.
Dr. Moore himself is upbeat and cracks jokes through out your appointment. It is easy to feel at ease there. The office is clean and bright, very inviting. Not to mention they have the latest equipment and a wide selection of contacts and frames.

I have been a patient for 10 years. Dr. Moore managed my eye care through glasses, 2 cataract surgeries & most recently a lens implant. The Doctors & the staff are very upbeat, positive & caring.

Dr. Moore is an outstanding eye doctor. I’ve been seeing him for 5 years and have always had a great experience. I love that he offers «eye photos» instead of typical dilation (takes a long time and is uncomfortable), during the annual exam. They can take HD pictures of your eyes without any of the uncomfortable dilation. The location is hard to beat for uptown professionals!!!

I am new to Charlotte and was recommended to this office by a colleague. I was very satisfied with my first visit! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I was able to get in and out very quickly compared to other appointments I’ve had with other eye doctors.

I’ve been a patient of this office for many years. I agree with some of the Unilocalers, that Dr. Bunich was a little over the top. He told me the story about his Mexican wife so many times that I was completely over it. I guess he thought since I“m African American I would somehow relate? He was also too fast in explaining things. He has since left and Dr. Beaver, who is straight out of medical school, has taken his place. I love her! She’s tiny in statue, but knows her stuff. She even recommended a test that I should have had done years ago. She’s a little fast in her speaking too, but she’s very sweet and explains everything to you. My wait has not been long at all. I even forgot about my appt last week & they called me to remind me 20 mins past my appt time. They still allowed me to come for my visit. Things have changed in the office, so I would recommend it to my friends.

I have been visting Dr. Steven C. Moore’s office for a few years, but unfortately in 2013 I did not make it there, for my yearly visit. So, on my year end vacation I decided to take advantage of my insurance for the year and went to another eye doctor. Unfortunately my lenses were blurry and not right for a few months. and I did not wear my glasses.
So, early this month I decided to stop in Steven C. Moore’s office to see if I could have an eye and lense check. Needless to say the prescrption from the other office was wrong. I had a full eye exam and chose a new pair of glasses for my «correct» lenses to be places. I was told they would be ready in 7 – 10 days and on day 4 I received a call they were ready. And, I love my new glasses and can see perfectly.
Service was outstanding and I hate that other reviewers did not receive the experience I did. I look forward to my follow up appointment and know I will not choose another eye doctor again.

I love that they are right downstairs from where I work. Ran down for an eye appointment today and was back in less than an hour. Everyone is so friendly. Dr. Moore is great.

Love the doctor, he spends more time with patients than any other and that explains the wait time too. they have many brands which you could check while you are waiting for the doctor and pick the one u like the most and after you see the doctor you can get out of there while they get glasses and your prescription synced up.

My appointment:
Nice staff.
Short wait (less than 30 minutes) then off to the patient’s room.
My doc was Dr. Bunich, who seemed to think I might be an expert on African-​American tv shows from the 70s.
Eye exam seemed thorough. Contact lenses over-​priced. Over-​priced glasses inexpensive because of our insurance.
Follow-​up: I had to call twice to receive a document I needed for my insurance. Possibly the first one got lost in the mail…
Final analysis: I choose this practice because of a referral from a family friend. The downtown location is not convenient for us and coupled with my experience and that of the other Unilocal!reviewers, we will be looking for another provider for these services.

I certainly love Dr. Moore, however the wait time at this location has just gotten out of hand. It’s bad enough the frames are a 300% mark up, but to have to wait forever to been seen just adds to the frustration. So don’t think that because you work uptown this place is convenient, because you will have to wait.
