History

Established in 1960.

Ground broke in 1958 and Park Lanes officially opened in 1960. Park Lanes was designed by Ferrebee and Walters Architects. At the beginning Park Lanes was purchased by a group of stockholders with Ken Lail being one of them. Over the years Mr. Lail accumulated the the Majority of the stock and by the late 70’s was the sole proprietor. PBA Tour Bowler, George Pappas purchased Park Lanes in January of 1983 and the new name became George Pappas’ Park Lanes. In 1984 Park Lanes hosted its first and only National PBA event, the Angle Touring Players Championship. The top 5 players in the step ladder were some of the most popular bowlers of all time. Mark Roth, Marshall Holman, and Pete Weber. Mark Roth went on to capture the title. The event was sponsored by Piedmont airlines who put up $ 10,000.00. Now it’s time for a new page as we become TEN Park Lanes with a new renovation and outside seating and we hope our future is just as bright as our past.

Meet the Manager

My passion for food is what defines the flavors that I produce. Since I was a child I have been intrigued by the art of cooking. Growing up with a family that was keen on food is what inspired me to become a chef. There was always something baking, grilling, or smoking. Having lived my life in the south influenced me to specialize in traditional American cuisine. Learning all the cuisines the world has to offer at the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach was an experience I hold dearly, but there’s nothing like a southern barbecue. So with an excellent culinary background and a passion to strive for the most delicious food is what I offer to you.
