The Wow Factor Cakes

Called twice to try and order a custom cake for one of my customers in the area.
Never got a call back.

We had a dream of a small wedding cake with other litter desserts for our dessert bar. WOW Factor delivered 100%! Our cake was gorgeous. The cake was made to match the pedal and ombré detail of my wedding dress. It was just perfect. The other desserts: cake pops, salty carmel brownies, lemon bars… they went flying off of the dessert bar. Everything was delicious. Working with WOW Factor was hassle free. I would recommend to any bride!

We have done two birthday party cakes for our children with The Wow Cake Factors. Both were amazing. They are very professional when it’s comes to there business. Amy is so kind hearted, creative, & passionate that’s what you look for when you entrust someone to do special cakes for those special moments. Given the amazing experience we’ve had with them we knew they would do our WEDDING CAKE! Ive always dreamed of having a beautiful wedding cake since I was a little girl. My vision that I shared with them was details that reflected not only myself but my spouse & they brought it to life! It was the most gorgeous cake I’ve ever seen at a Wedding luckily it was Ours! This is by far the best experience I’ve ever had from a Cake Company. The reviews I’ve seen posted that are negative Ive never had issues & if you have a issue they’re awesome at communication. They put so much love & dedication in there art it’s obvious!!! Thank you so much for making our special day magical our Wedding Cake was stunning. Do NOT use this company! I had a disaster of a wedding cake fiasco from Wow Factor Cakes! I do take responsibility, (sarcasm) I assumed the Wow was going to be a wonderful thing, it was not!!!
My daughter wanted a small cake (for traditional cutting) and luckily we had Italian desserts (Cannoli’s from Nova’s Bakery, BTW an amazing bakery!) I ordered and paid in full for a four layer vanilla cake. The wow was supposed to be the intricate lace design that covered the entire cake! That design actually is showcased on their website!
However, my other daughter went to pickup the cake that morning. She called to let me know she had it, I asked her how it looked. She said Fine… I knew instantly whatever she had was NOT the cake I had ordered and paid for! I had her send me a pic, as I was downtown with the bride having our hair done, I was so shocked by what I saw I immediately jumped out of the salon chair and ran outside so my daughter the bride would not hear!!! The cake Wow Factor gave my daughter was completely barren of any design, with the exception of a small fondant ribbon around the bottom of the cake! What happened to my intricate lace design!!!
I called Wow Factor, the girl who answered first played dumb, then as I refreshed her memory of who I was and what I ordered and what we contracted for and what we received, she dryly responded with oh yeah! She then told me WE would have to bring back the cake we picked up, and here I will chuckle, had the audacity to tell me WE would have to come back to pick up the proper cake we had ordered!!!
At this point I will inform you that after some discussion and firm but polite and professional words, the young lady on the phone changed her mind and realized that it would be in EVERYONES best interest that Wow Factor would indeed deliver the cake I ordered!
The cake I contracted for should have been in my possession at noon that day, instead it was delivered at the venue 30 minutes prior to the wedding beginning! Much stress and distress!
No apologies were ever given!
So I will say it again, DO NOT use Wow Factor Cakes unless the wow your after is the shock of how this business stays in business!

Great cupcakes. I got these on the fly as I was going to my cousin’s house for dinner. They were super happy with the gift.

This is just an update to the response from the owner at Wow Cake Factor. Not only do you guys not live up to your word but you are liars. I have a contract at hand where it says «Delivery Time: 1pm». The cupcakes did not get there until 3:45pm. Also, we did not receive the cake that was ordered. We asked the delivery person who was wearing sweats and a dirty white tee shirt where the cake was and all she said was, «I don’t know, I only do the delivery». If you don’t believe that, it is on video where our camera guy recorded it. In the video, no one cursed or threaten your delivery person. Yes, my husband called on and was very upset but you could only imagine. This was not just a regular party. It was a wedding, so you guys picked a great time to make a mistake.
Lastly, whomever we spoke to on the phone did not even have the address to the location which made me to believe that she just totally forgot. So once again, I have video proof of your delivery person, «dressed suited» and a contract that your small business breeched which can also be considered a criminal offense.

My husband and I were married in summer 2014. We still into the fall get comments on how beautiful and delicious our cake was. It was three layers of goodness-​almond, chocolate and then almond. People came back for seconds and thirds. The design was spectacular with a round bottom with a white-​on-​white damask pattern, a hexagon middle with a white-​on-​white quilt pattern and then a round top that repeated the pattern from the bottom. Amy, the owner, was professional and easy to work with and helped us design the cake of our dreams. She coordinated everything with the delivery and the flowers for the topper with our wedding coordinator and florist. I would recommend her to anyone!

STAY AWAY!!! My husband ordered my 30^th birthday cake from here (after I saw Emily Maynard Johnson posting her beautiful cakes from here on IG and I begged him) needless to say, we were very disappointed. My husband asked that they do a 4^th of July themed cake with a design on the top. When he placed the order he told the person on the phone that he’d seen their cakes before and trusted them to do something creative.
I was SO excited about the cake I actually stopped with a family member to pick the cake up myself. I was so embarrassed when I picked up a totally bare cake with some ribbon around the sides and nothing on the top. I could have gotten a better design from a pre-​made grocery store cake.
When we asked to have something written on the top because the cake was so bare, the employee seemed completely put off and irritated. I would have walked out had my husband not already prepaid for it.
We had 30+ people at my party and they knew my cake had come from here, they were actually laughing at how sad this cake looked. This bakery is not worth the hype!

The Wow Factor Cakes really does offer the Wow factor! Amy and Chris are a husband and wife team, they are very warm and engaging. They personalize their cakes and designs to make creative bakery goods. I really like that they incorporate the special details of your life into your order to make your event special. They can do anything that you ask!
I have a Event Planning company and they are my go to bakery for engagement parties, baby showers, Birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate events!

This is the 3^rd times I ate cakes from the WOW Factor. My sissy’s wedding cake was from there. Her husband’s bday cake was there so of course my sissy’s 29^th bday cake has to be from there. Initial consultation was with Chris via email. I swear we must’ve exchange 100 emails. I sent him pics of the ideas I have. The initial cost for the cake was $ 215 for 25 ppl which high for me and didn’t meet my budget. And I told Chris that. He later adjust some things and got it down to $ 117. Which I was happy with. I also told him she wanted some kind of raspberries and white chocolate filling. Believe me when I said I was difficult. We were back n forth for 2 weeks before I dropped off the deposit.
The cake was awesome. Base color was a Tiffany blue, skulls on top with the «Day of the Dead» theme. It was a white cake with a raspberry/​white chocolate mousse. It was sooo moist and omg the filling was perfect. They did it. They dealt with me, made my vision come truth and its taste delicious also. I will go back.

I recently had a birthday putting me much closer to 40 than I would like to be at this time, so I decided that I was going to give myself a birthday party with family and friends. Once that was decided, I needed to have the mother of all cakes designed and that is when I happened upon WF Cakes website. I gave them a call and Amy’s husband helped me decide to recreate the cake that was on the party invitations that I had sent out. The flavor I chose was red velvet. Genius! When I went to pick up the cake, Amy’s hubby (I think his name is Chris) walked the cake out to the car. As we were walking to the car, people (there is a brunch place right next door and it was a Saturday afternoon) were staring at how beautiful the cake was. It was truly a work of art. On the day of the party everyone went WOW over the cake and could not believe how nicely it came out. Not only did it look good, it was moist and DELICIOUS! I will be sure to reach out to WF Cakes for any other artistic confection needed in the future.

We were on the way to Tuesday Morning, but i saw the cakes in the window and i told Luis we’ve gotta stop by and see. It smells wonderful in here and it’s super clean and beautiful looking. The artists husband let us taste a cake pop, $ 2.50 each, and it was so delicious that we bought 6 more and he compted us another one. We preferred the chocolate cake to the red velvet cake. These people have made cake for Prince, the singer. The artist is fantastic.

Amy at The Wow Factor creates some of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever seen. Her talent and customer service skills are unmatched. Most importantly, her cakes are delicious!
Amy did our wedding cake and even after 18 months in the freezer (we missed finishing the top tier on our anniversary because we were out of town) it was possibly the best cake I’ve ever tasted. Actually, it was even better than I remember it being on our wedding day.
In fall 2011, we gave a friend a baby shower and ordered another cake from Amy — the guests could not get over how great it tasted and how beautiful it was. Everyone wanted to know who made it!
Amy also offers reasonable pricing and accepts credit cards.
I will always order cakes from her; I’m so glad to have found The Wow Factor and Amy!

This bakery is a true gem! I recently got married and Wow Factor Cake Design made my wedding cake.

I did a lot of research when trying to find a designer for my wedding cake. I went to two other shops before meeting with the owner, Amy Craparo. Her bakery was a world of difference — she was warm, engaging, thoughtful and was willing to partner with me to design the cake I wanted (not just a cake modified from a book or pushing a popular design, like other shops).
When meeting with Amy, she offered many free samples of all the cakes and fillings (some places make you pay for tastings). My husband and I chatted with her about possible design ideas and she sketched out some design options, always open to our ideas on color/​texture/​design. She even spoke to my Dad regarding ways to create interesting cake stands to complement my cake.
On our wedding day, we received lots of ‘ooooh’ and ‘awwws’ about our fondant cake on both the look and the taste! We had two flavors — almond cake with strawberry filling and chocolate cake with hazelnut mousse filling.
The best part — she also created a fondant monogram that matched our invitations!
HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a not only a baker, but a designer.
