Wine Vault

Nice place with outdoor and indoor seating. Glasses of wine are priced well. But someone needs to talk to the wine tasting bartender. We go wine tasting frequently and their pour barely allows you to taste each offering. $ 5 for a few drops and you don’t even get to keep the glass.

Dark & dusty. But not in a good way. Mediocre, overpriced selection.
Asked where the Spanish wines were & the employee showed us a small shelf & promptly removed half the bottles claiming «these are already sold.»
So either get there early or don’t go at all. (We’ll be doing the latter & shopping at Winestore instead)

This place is the bomb!!! Too bad it is out in the «boonies» at least to me, as I do not live close at all. But it is worth coming down here in the spring and summer. Great wine selection. You will find any wine here. You can purchase a wine per glass that they have on the menu or you can pick a bottle, purchase it and they will open it for ya and you can drink it there. No cork fee! And the best part is, one can sit outside, enjoy your wine and on the weekends listen to free live music! I love this place

Stopped into The Wine Vault this past weekend for a «Pictures w Santa» pet-​charity event and had a really good time. The ambiance was cool and the wine shop was just precious! With lots of fine wines and a dining area + patio set up, I’d definitely suggest The Wine Vault as a first date spot or a girl’s night spot. It’s casual but classy and the wine was divine.

Great place and awesome ambience. My mom and I loved the wine. Only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the female employee was rude to my family after we bought a bottle of wine. Let’s be clear… If you work at a place, it’s your job to check if the bathroom needs paper towels. Not your customers job. We will definitely be back but hope the employee is a little nicer this time!

I’m not one who can handle alcohol of any sort but I had the best wine of my life today. Please get a glass of their moscato! It’s very very sweet and the sweetness masks the taste of the alcohol, but leaves you feeling fabulous.
It’s cozy and quiet inside, I almost didn’t want to talk! Bring your laptop and a book to read over a glass of wine and you will have a great afternoon.

Great selection of beer, fantastic prices. You can easily get 3 great craft beers for less than $ 10. Go on the weekends, they have live music!

I love finding places that will be added to your rotation of favorite spots. Tucked away in a shopping center near UNCC is the Wine Vault. Sit outside and people watch or brig your pup (there were some inside when I visited) and split a bottle of wine (responsibly of course) with some friends. The glasses we sampled were $ 7 – 8 and were a proper pour. If you are in the University area this is the best spot to grab a glass or two of wine in a non-​chain/​hotel bar.

Wine Vault is a hidden gem in the university area. It has an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the area. Inside they have a chill coffeehouse kind of vibe with lots of couches and chairs. When the weather is warm though, the patio is where it is at! They have plenty of tables where you can sip on your wine or beer under an umbrella. They have a great selection of wines — by the glass or by the bottle! The beer selection is great too. Certain nights they have wine tastings or live music!
I was actually introduced to the Wine Vault by a professor who used to let us meet there for class! It was a great place to get out of the classroom, yet still quiet enough for us to have discussion. We were never pressed for space either and always found a spot.
The inside (especially the furniture and bathrooms) could use an update/​upgrade. But maybe the little bit of «grunge» is part of the appeal for some!

I went here last night for the very first time and was delighted to see what a cute and cozy spot it is. There isn’t much seating inside but with the warm weather the outside area is nice around this time. I sat outside and drank my first glass and when I got up to go inside to get my second one; I realized there was a bug floating at the top when she was through pouring. So, like normal I asked for a fresh glass. To my surprise the Manager Karen offered me not a new, fresh glass a wine but a balled up piece of tissue paper that she was going to use to «JUST SCOOP THE BUG OUT FOR ME» and return the same glass back to me. My friend heard her say this and was shocked. Then when I asked her if she would want someone to scoop a bug out of her drink and return it back to her she replied «well I wouldn’t mind» also adding and insinuating it was my fault because I was «sitting outside». I am not accustomed to drinking liquid that has had bugs in it and I’m not sure many of you are either. Customer service is key in any successful business and her lax efforts to satisfy her customer really shows how much she truly values her business. I could go to any restaurant and if there is any discrepancy with my meal and/​or drink it will be fixed upon my request because that is upstanding service, and I am a paying customer. This place is nice but the management is unqualified, undignified, rude, and piss poor.

Love this place! Huge beer and wine selection and well priced. Location is great by a cute pond and live music is regularly there during warmer weather. My favorite thing here by far is that they are dog friendly inside and out

To the Wine Vault! They have a vast collection to choose from. By the bottle or glass. And great outdoor seating to take in the fresh air. They don’t have a kitchen, but have some pretty good munchies.
If you don’t like wine, they do have bottled beer in the back. Seasonal selection too.
A nice atmosphere but a little pricey. But with good company, it can be very enjoyable.
Tip: wed 7pm tastings.

The best way to enjoy great wine, fellowship and live music. I don’t venture too far away from my living area due to the great ambience and experience of the Wine Vault. Having great & late night food options a few steps away is a added benefit as well.

Always a good time. Excellent set up for any weather situation. They tend to have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. The Wine Vault sells local beers an wine ice cold available for purchase by the glass and bottle. Very knowledgeable staff and chill atmosphere. Dog and kid friendly as well.

A nice and friendly place to sit outside and drink.

The official hangout for my office (since we’re walking distance). Nice little spot on the boardwalk with ample outdoor seating. The inside has a larger «community room» with plenty of chairs and couches. The selection is smaller, but they have some good things to choose from. It is tight where the inventory is kept — can feel claustrophobic if too many people are browsing at once.
The staff is friendly and seem to know their stuff. I am a little disappointed in the by-​the-​glass menu. I visited in May and again in September and nothing had changed. Pretty disappointing in that regard.

Not a bad stop for any warm night in the University area. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The décor has a Pier One feel and there is usually live music out on the patio. If you’re in the mood to enjoy a glass or wine or beer, but don’t want to go bar hoping, this is a great alternative.
The place is stocked with different types of wine and beer you’re not going to find many other places. While you can buy by the glass or bottle, the bottle is more bang for your buck. While the Wine Vault gets brownie points for location, selection of alcohol and atmosphere. I would say it lacks in customer service, food options and the selection is over priced. I’ve experienced rude workers from time to time. If there staff was a little bit more kind and their prices weren’t so high, the Wine Vault would have scored a little higher in my book.

Came here with friends and had a blast! I like chill spots, however coming back from Cali my thoughts are going to be a little biased. Other than that, this place is an awesome hang out spot.
Come here and get some wine, they have a pretty extensive menu. Hey, if you don’t like wine, it’s all okay! No worries, they also have beer. I ordered the porter and was it good, a big bottle and it tasted like dark chocolate coffee. I know, it sounds good.
Other than that… great place for conversations, good time, and live music (I think is only on weekends)!

I met a nice young lady out there for a few beers or a bottle of Wine.
We got a table on the inside. very nice atmosphere…
However, we probably shoulda got a table for say… ummmm… 10 or so. We wasn’t expecting Company at the table in the form of FLIES, NATS.
After looking like we were trying to Stoke a fire, we drank tried to ignore the flying welcoming committee.
I’m sure that’s not the NORM… so I will chuck it up to a out-​the-​blue type thing.
I would go back no doubt… butttttttt I’m on the other side of town. (I think its another on the South side. However, the other location will be MIssing what I like about it most…“the college” vibe (live and vibrant instead of older and posh, starbuck junkies)…
I don’t want to have to fill like I need to have a fake accent with my pinky out drinking a glass of wine.
BUT THIS LOCATION IS okay with me!!!
