History

Established in 2010.

I began driving in 2010 in Charlottesville and the surrounding Central Virginia region and then became an independent driver owning my own vehicle in 2013 and renamed the business as Charlottesville Transportation and Taxi in 2014.

Business Owner

I am a husband and a dad to my wonderful 3 children. My knowledge and experience of Charlottesville and the surrounding area expands over 25 years. Before entering the taxi business, I owned my own graphic design business in Charlottesville for over 20 years. From 2008 to 2010 my wife and family decided to serve as missionaries overseas. Trained in Australia and served in Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Africa, India and Afghanistan.

We did a tour yesterday that started at 11am. Richard was our driver and he was fantastic. He took us to four vineyards in his comfy van. He even had bottled water and chocolate in the van for us! He was extremely personable and had great recommendations for the winery’s and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this company and Richard as your driver. I called Richard for his transportation services and was extraordinarily pleased with his professionalism, his efficiency, and the ease of payment options. Plus, we had a wonderful conversation about visual images!
I was staying at the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia and needed taxi service to the train station in Charlottesville. Richard was recommended by the staff at Wintergreen. As promised, he arrived at the resort at 5:30 am to transport me to the Amtrak station. He was actually early.
