History
Established in 2009.
Jamie Kay of JMK Photos began her photography career by second shooting weddings for another local photographer. She immediately fell in love with the wedding industry and decided to begin her own company after the birth of her daughter in the summer of 2009. Since then, Jamie has documented 100+ weddings.
Our focus is on documenting your wedding story in a natural and authentic way, capturing the emotion of the day. We strive to have the highest customer service possible, and only accept a limited number of weddings each year to maintain this policy. My passion for photography started in middle school, and turned into my profession when I started my own company in 2009 after the birth of my daughter. I love, love, love my job and cherish my ability to document special moments in people’s lives. I have lived in Charlottesville my whole life, and love all of the beautiful scenery it has to offer. I am also a Realtor with Silvergate Realty here in Charlottesville, and feel so fortunate to be able to do two things that I truly love!
