History

Established in 1942.

Arrow Ace Hardware was established in 1985 when Dave Neiman purchased Don’s Ace Hardware from his father in Saint Peter, Minnesota. The Saint Peter store was originally established in 1942 by Bill Francis. Since that time, Arrow Ace Hardware has grown to include eleven hardware stores.

Most of the employees here are helpful. There is one guy, a manager I think, is horrible. He’s never friendly and must hate his job. I’m all about small business but when they only have a quantity of 1when I need 2 of something, what good is that? I’m talking an outlet cover, nothing special here. So now I’ve wasted time when I thought it was going to be a quick trip and ended up going to Menards in EP because I can’t stand Chaska Home Depot.

This Ace Hardware is conveniently located near downtown Chaska. The store has everything you would find at a typical Ace in addition to the odds and ends you find yourself needing in a pinch. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. Shop here and support local business.

This is how Ace Hardware of Chaska takes care of their customers. I brought in 3 screens that had small holes to be repaired. They said no problem and we left the screens with them.
We came back and picked them up when they were done only to find out they no longer fit in the windows. So we took them back to the store and they tried again (very rude clerks). The second time I picked them up, the screen was loose in the middle. I complained and left the screens there for them to fix.
I received a call saying they were unable to fix them properly and that I could pick them up. When I went to pick them up today, the angry employee had cut the screens out of middle. The manager Dave Peters said there was nothing he could do about it (they ruined functional screens).
Just a warning, stay away from Chaska Ace Hardware and their manager!

I think it’s right to support small businesses but would not recommend for the following reasons… The staff is kind of a very non-​chalant, not trying very hard –to help ya. They are ok but not very knowledgable at all. Not much customer service nor manners. And the prices are very high and not worth the convenience. I’ll drive up the street to Home Depot for better service and prices. Sorry.

A friendly, small-​town, neighborhood hardware store!
I walked into this place to buy a combination lock for the gym, and the guy that helped me found what I needed immediately, and left me alone after showing me where it was.
Then I asked him where I could find some end-​caps for my ironing board, and though they didn’t carry them showed me some viable options that would have done the job.
They might not be quite as cheap as Home Depot or Walmart, but I would much rather go here for my hardware needs.
No pressure, no prying, no upsell, just solid advice from a guy that knows hardware. I wish all hardware stores were as honest as this place!
