My love for automobiles started when I purchased my first car way back in 1974. It was a 1967 Camaro SS.

My passion for cars continued to grow over the years as I sold, purchased and worked on many more high performance vehicles. In 1980 I landed a department head position with a company called B&M Automotive Products which specialized in high performance Transmissions, Shifters, Shift Kits and Superchargers. Over the next eleven years with B&M I gained an invaluable amount of automotive aftermarket knowledge in product development, marketing, advertising, administrative as well as the importance of excellent customer service. In 1991 I started my own company. I have also provided my expertise, experience and knowledge in product development working as a consultant helping build many other automotive companies.

Thought i would try there performance drilled and slotted front and rear rotors on my 2005 Audi A8L 4.2, the first set of front rotors warped under 2000 miles, then because of there return policy had to pay for another set from them have those installed and then return the old ones for a credit back to my card.
The second set of front warranty rotors also warped and badly, they made it closer to 2000 miles but to the point the car shook really hard and was dangerous under med-​heavy braking…
If you have a 4000 pound plus car don’t use these rotors they don’t seem to be made with quality metals, looks like I’m going back to OEM.

Stock Ford brakes on my Escape have chattered every time I go down a hill long enough to have to use the brakes to slow down so when replacing them I wanted something better. After a bit of research I decided to order from Brake Performance. The next day I received a phone call from their customer support telling me there were different pads used by Ford and even told me how to determine which I needed. A couple of days later I received the brakes, installed them and they have a more solid feel than the original and so far have not chattered at all. And like others I am happy to buy «made in USA» parts.

I decided to try these guys a few years ago. Bought a set of rotors and pads for my Dodge Dakota, which always had warping problems before. Used their dimpled/​slotted rotors and whatever pads they sent me. Almost 2 years later, still fantastic performance, no warping at all. I then bought a set of 4 rotors for our Mustang GT, which we just did the Brembo upgrade on. The rotors and pads are awesome, smooth, quiet stopping. And priced right. Then used them on a friends WRX, same story, good quality, and now excellent performance. Plan on using them for all our other cars when the need arises.
I’ve not had to deal with warranty issues, so don’t know how that would be. I did call them for a shipping update, and they were fine. Honestly, rotors and pads are commodity products for the most part, but Brake Performance does a nice job with their products.

Ordered front brake rotors for my 2010 BMW 335i. Good price fast shipping. First pair failed (warped) within a month. Got a warranty replacement that failed again within couple of weeks. Convinced them to replace it one more time (they have a one time warranty replacement policy!!!), when I received the replacement I had my shop put it on the machine to check the rotors and they were both warped new out of the box. Put different rotors on the car and they have been working fine for 3 month now. When I tried to return the rotors they would not even answer my email.

Well, I’ve waited 2 years to write this review. I’ve purchased 3 sets of rotors, and by word of mouth I’ve convinced several people try the set up I was using on my cars. These rotors are amazing. On my 08 Accord i’m due for a rear brake change (Honda’s flawed design are the reason for this), but the front rotors are still rust free. Installation Is easy and i’v never had any problems. The rotors from
are pretty good quality as well, not to mention they’re made in the USA! I would recommend this company to anyone. My negative thing to say is they are located all the way in California and i’m all the way on the east coast and sometimes the shipping can take longer than expected. However, this is something I can live with in exchange for superior quality.

Went through the drop downs for vehicle year etc on their web site and ordered dimpled slotted rotors and pads. The pads match up to your car info that you input. You have the ability to «upgrade» the pads for another $ 40 per set which I did. When I received the rotors and pads (shipped out in great condition) I scheduled an install.
The tech said these are the «wrong pads» for both front and rear. Then showed me why. He purchased them locally (gave me a deal) on the pads but it was still another $ 120. Brake performance only credited me $ 80.00 for the 2 sets of pads. It cost another $ 24.00 to UPS them back. So I received a net credit of $ 56 but paid another $ 120. I’m not a fan. Wish I didn’t buy from these folks.

I am more than please with the services provided by brake performance! Not only did they assist me with a previous purchase of slotted and drilled rotors for my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, they went above and beyond the call of service!
I was very displeased to find out that my purchase of the mid-​grade rotors had a limited lifetime warranty for 2 years for warping and cracking. I had a small hair line crack on one of my rear rotors. I proceeded to contact the company with my inquiry and concerns. The customer service representative contacted me and explained that not only was the damage rotor going to be covered and replaced at no extra cost, but that a set of brand new drilled and slotted rotors were expected to be at my residence via UPS expedited service. I received the new product and have already installed them.
For this gesture, I am more than pleased to continue my business with this company by purchasing all my rotors from brake performance. I would highly recommend this company for any brake performance upgrades. I also purchased a front set of rotors and they are still going strong with no problems what so ever. They look great as an aftermarket upgrade to my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix.

I purchased a set of 4 new slotted/​drilled rotors for my Audi at a great price from Brake Performance. I installed them w/​o much issue and then followed the break in procedures on the BP site. (much to my neighbors dislike.)
For the first 1500 miles everything worked well. I did not notice any improvement in braking (not that I really expected any). After my initial 1500 miles the car began the dreaded under braking shake which quickly worsened.
I contacted the BP via email. They responded within a few hours (great) and offered to replace/​repair the rotors which was what I expected. The down side was that I needed to remove the rotors and ship them back to Cali. at my expense.
I did not expect BP to compensate me for the install/​removal/​reinstall, however the cost of shipping about 100lbs of rotors across the country is quite expensive! Not to mention my car would be out of service until BP returned something. BP indicated it would take 2 – 3 business days to ‘process the repair’ before they would be shipped. This would leave me without a car for a week and ½ based on the ship time for my original order.
In the end it made better financial sense to just replace brake perf. rotors with better quality products and I am quite happy that I did.
As so often happens, trying to save a buck initially wound up costing me more in the long run.

This is a top-​notch company, I’ve had their product on previous vehicles with night and day results compared to OEM blah rotors… after you break them in the way they describe, with my wife’s RX330 it’s like throwing a boat anchor out the back when you need to aggressively stop :)
Recently, I had an issue on a slight warpage concern with my GX470 (partially my fault) but unlike most companies, after we discussed the problem, these guys handled the situation with 150% class, Excellent to work with, even when I didn’t read all the fine print they were willing to work thing’s through to my satisfaction.
I personally prefer/​recommend the Dimpled/​Slotted/​premium pad combo, worth the extra coin, (I mean — seriously, how often do you need brakes if they’re great?)… Don’t go cheap… especially if your running highway speeds and ever have sudded full stop situations like out here in New England — no brake fade whatsoever under smashed petal braking… Highly recommended their product/​company.

I was referred by one of my friends to get my rotors from this place, and I’m very glad I went. This isn’t exactly a performance shop, but I think they are the actual manufacturer of the rotors. They make your specific rotor when you order it and then zinc coat them (usually takes 2 – 3 days).
The customer service was great and she even gave me a small discount because I mentioned Unilocal.I daily drive my E36 M3 and opted for black zinc coated slotted rotors with their semi-​metallic pads. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’ve put over 20k on the rotors and they are holding up great!
Not to mention, their prices are extremely reasonable and I would have gone with their premium dimpled rotors if I tracked my car, but these looked nice and the price was good. I’d def. recommend them and will get my rear rotors from them when they are due.
