I finally moved into the house of my dreams, so I did everything I could to find the «Right» contractor. And by right, I mean honest. George didn’t disappoint. He is the most straightforward and honest contractor I’ve been working with. This kitchen remodel was not much different than my previous remodeling projects. I got my fair share of setbacks, delays and surprises, which are in fact inherent to the very nature of major remodels. The difference however, is that George dealt with every situation in a composed, fair and cost effective manner. George is a true professional. The same can be said of his team. The painter and the tile guy are quite amazing. Their work is impeccable! The electrician called me after each stage was completed to ask me if I was happy with his work and if I needed him to do anything else. The kitchen cabinet guy went above and beyond our expectations. Finally one person who’s attention to details is matching mine — almost! 2 weeks after the plumbing was completed, the water line leading to the fridge was leaking, damaging the new kitchen cabinets. I left a message to George and he called me back the same day telling me not to worry and that he will take care of everything. The plumber spent an additional 2 – 3 hours and upgraded the plastic line to a flexible copper line. Hats off! Don’t expect perfection though. I thought that the demolition crew could have done a better job closing off the living room to block the dust from covering the furniture. Some delays between jobs could certainly have been reduced. But is there is no such thing as perfection! Most importantly, in dealing with George, I had someone that was both reliable and trustworthy. A rare occurrence in this trade. George and team, thank you for our great kitchen!

My wife and I recently purchased our first home and thanks to George and his crew our dream has finally come true. Finding contractors is extremely difficult but look no further. George is not only talented but very thorough and was the first person we met who was on top of everything and his efficiency and quality control is amazing. I’m very picky myself and not knowing anything about construction really worried me, but thankfully we met George and throughout the entire project he was excellent. Look no further than Cornerstone for your needs! Drama free, worry free, and excellent communication from George, the owner. First off, he gave me a quote for my new kitchen that was beyond reasonable. I got several quotes from other companies; I was doing a full kitchen gut and remodel, leading into the dining area. I was floored by his quote, as some companies were almost insulting with what they wanted to charge. I didn’t choose Cornerstone simply to save some coin either, he was very friendly, had great ideas, but also listened to my and my wife’s ideas, and had a «we’ll make it happen» attitude.
First, understand that Cornerstone does CUSTOM work. When discussing the dimensions of our pantry, I was caught up on the standard 18″ or 24″ widths and whatnot. George said, «We make our own cabinets… we’ll make them exactly how you want them.» Did I mention that his quote was the most reasonable… AND I got a custom kitchen. My wife and I new exactly what we wanted, and how we wanted the layout, etc. George worked with all of our ideas, used the materials that we wanted to purchase (tile, brick, etc), and when imparting his ideas, was never pushy.
The project manager, Mike, was at the project probably over 90% of the time, making sure everything was running smoothly. He’s a great communicator and an all-​around nice guy. Both Mike and George are professionals; total people persons and were very aware that they were in MY home, acting respectfully and courteously.
As far as my kitchen goes, they built all new custom cabinets, installed crown moulding, ran new electrical, moved existing electrical, ran new plumbing, framed a new window, repaired stucco, prepared my raised foundation for tile, installed tile and brick veneer on my backsplash and feature wall, installed (large) new French doors, painted, installed countertops, and installed new appliances.
The tile floor we chose were very large concrete «looking» tiles. My wife and I wanted the smallest grout lines as possible to make it look like a concrete floor. Their tile guy knocked it out of the park. The brick veneer we chose — we wanted large grout lines, like a normal brick wall. Again, they knocked it out of the park with the mortared look. The stucco that was repaired around the new doors and window was seamless-​better than I’ve ever seen.
The photos included with this review pretty much speak for themselves. But what you don’t see is the professionalism with Cornerstone. And what impressed me the most, was that when something didn’t go as planned, or something unforeseen happened (as with ANY construction job), they just corrected what needed to be, explained things to me and my wife, and DIDN’T NICKEL AND DIME me for something that was slightly out of the scope of work! Also, we had a very detailed contract and payment schedule — there was no ridiculous down payment, and fair and even payments through out the process.
I’ve learned my lesson through NUMEROUS projects and contractors throughout my home ownership, that you get what you pay for. I’ve had all-​out disasters. I spent the time on this review because this company deserves it. My wife and I have a kitchen that belongs in a magazine, and everyone who walks into my kitchen is blown away! If you want drama; love weirdos in your home; like shotty and boring work; and want an untrustworthy contractor — don’t choose Cornerstone.

I’ve worked with Cornerstone Construction on two separate projects now.
The first project was a large scale remodel of an office building. Aside from some challenges during the planning and permitting stages, the majority of the project went fairly smoothly. I’ve been involved in quite a number of construction projects over the years, residential and commercial, both from the contractor’s side of the table and the client’s. Unexpected challenges always come up along the way, and our project was no exception. Expect the unexpected. The only truly significant challenge came when Cornerstone’s electrical subcontractor severely dropped the ball. The electrician performed work that was neither up to code nor according to the plans, resulting in much of it needing to be redone by another electrician. To George’s credit, when other contractors might have walked off the job, he stuck it out and saw the project through to completion. The end result was that we endured some delays and increased costs, however it could have been far more painful if it weren’t for the way in which George handled matters.
Despite the challenges, and because of the way the George resolved those challenges, I called him for a second project when I needed some tile work done at my house. The pricing was competitive, the work was completed promptly and the craftsmanship was second to none. I had previously hired a handyman to do the tile work, and had to ask him to leave after seeing the quality of work he was doing. The tile work completed by Cornerstone, on the other hand, is simply beautiful. My plumber even commented on the quality of our shower surround when he came to install the shower trim. We had mosaic backsplash installed in our kitchen and large format porcelain tiles installed in our main bathroom tub surround, and both look amazing.
The best measure of customer service is not whether or not there are challenges, but the manner in which those challenges are handled. We certainly encountered challenges, however the manner in which they were handled ultimately resulted in me choosing to do business with Cornerstone Construction once again. The second project went flawlessly, and I’m sure I will do business with them again in the future. George has earned my trust.

I simply can’t say or recommend Cornerstone enough for what they have done for me. I purchased my home that needed a complete renovation. Flooring, paint, cabinets, plumbing, and electrical. They did it all. My entire home was just carpet and now it’s all laminate, tiles in the kitchen and slate in the bathrooms. Now thanks to Cornerstone my home is everything I wanted it to be and much more. Every time I walk inside my home I smile and thank God for Cornerstone. There are so many great things to say about George at Cornerstone that I don’t know where to begin. We relocated to a new area, didn’t know anyone, knew nothing about construction and needed a lot of work done on the house before we could move in. We met with many contractors but as soon as we met with George, we knew we had found our guy. George is professional, honest, friendly and punctual for every single interaction and his team is hard working.
Most importantly, we paid not a penny more than the original bid and he delivered exactly when quoted. You simply can’t ask for more! He is also a great designer providing helpful feedback on what materials to use. He has great vendors to work with for all your materials needs. He and his team also went above and beyond helping us to understand what items we could save on vs need to spend on for functionality purposes. He knows his stuff.
We used Cornerstone to completely re-​do our kitchen, bathrooms, and other projects which entailed demo, knocking some walls out, plumbing, electrical updates, tankless water heater, appliance installations carpentry, granite, tile, flooring, recessed lighting, detailed painting, staining a banister and mantle to match. Basically, every surface of our house was redone.
Random note, as I female whose husband was away for work during the whole project and having a toddler & newborn & balancing work while undergoing the extensive remodel, I felt so comfortable dealing with him. My husband and I never got in any fights through the whole process of what could have been very stressful and we owe it to George who is so much more than a contractor.
It has been 1 year since working with Cornerstone and we having been saving up to do more projects with them. We are still so happy with the quality of work. With two little ones who climb and slam things, the floors, cabinets and everything they did has held up 100%.
We can’t say enough good things about George! You will not be disappointed.

We recently bought a home and used them to redo our kitchen tiles, open up a wall, do major electrical fixes, paint most of our interior walls, remove popcorn ceilings, and add recessed lighting. George is so professional with great communication, vision, and integrity. He was so patient with us as we shared our hopes and helped us make our dreams a reality. One of the pleasant surprises was the daily emails George sent us with photos keeping us informed of the progress in our home.
His team was also very professional – always hard working, kind, and highly skilled. The end results are far better than anything we could have expected. We are already dreaming about what we can use Cornerstone Construction for in the future of our home!

We recently bought a house that hadn’t been touched in decades. We needed many projects done to bring it up to date, both functional and cosmetic, before we could move in, including changing floors throughout and painting all the interiors. George at Cornerstone was by far the most responsive and prompt of all contractors we contacted for quotes. While others disappeared for days or even weeks, George’s quote for our project arrived just hours after he came in to see the house. He also gave us a very reasonable timeline for completion, so going with him was a no brainer.
Our total project took about 3.5 weeks to complete (which was within the range of 2 – 4 weeks that George had quoted). It would even have been a week faster, but we discovered that the wall paper in one of the rooms proved extremely hard to remove due to the way it had been done by the previous owner decades ago, so George’s worker ended up needing a whole week to remove that inch by inch (!!). Still, it was completed in time. Overall though, the Cornerstone crews worked very fast and very efficiently and we were often impressed at how quickly they were able to complete tasks at such high standards.
Both George and Mike (his project manager) were very easy to get in touch with and very responsive and on top of things. They kept us updated on every step of the project, frequently texted or emailed pictures of completed projects, and did walk through-​s with us to make sure we were 100% happy and that they had a good idea of what touch ups we wanted done. They wanted us to be completely satisfied with the end result and encouraged us to speak up about even the tiniest detail that we might have had concerns about.
The end result was very rewarding. The house looks new and immaculate and the quality of the work seems very high. We have already received compliments and our furniture isn’t even in yet. We’d use Cornerstone again for future projects and we would recommend them for their promptness, ease of communication, timely completion and high standard of work!

When we embarked on our kitchen remodel project, we were nervous about hiring a contractor since we had no experience doing so. While we interviewed a few contractors first, we met George after we visited a friend’s remodel in the neighborhood. We were impressed with the quality and the price and George listened to our needs and wants for our kitchen. He carefully sketched out some ideas and quoted us a fair price rather than just asking «What’s your budget?»
We picked out the materials ourselves with some guidance from George and the Cornerstone team went to work. They removed more of the walls than we planned to make sure there were no surprises (and there weren’t!) Each craftsman on the Cornerstone team was highly skilled and did beautiful work — the carpenter, the tile guy, the painter, the electrician, and the plumber — all awesome! We were so impressed during the project, we added a few more things like painting other areas and tiling a fireplace.
By the time everything was done (a little longer than we planned) we were thrilled. Our only regret was not doing it sooner. We’ll find some money to use Cornerstone on our next project, whether in our current house or our next.

This is the second time we’ve used George and Cornerstone Construction for work on our rental property.
The first time there was a clogged drainage system in one of the bathrooms as well as a leaking shower manifold. They were able to come up with a custom solution without ripping out the shower tiles. Saved a lot of $$$.
This time the tenants complained of excess water usage and loud noise under the floors. George has come up with a comprehensive plan to address these problems along with a few other issues. He is installing a new pressure regulator to lower pressure thus using less water we hope! Also he’s going to strap the plumbing to reduce noise overall.
I would highly recommend George for any household repairs big or small.

We used cornerstone to remodel our commercial office space. Customers are always extremely impressed with the office, and several people have commented that it must have cost a fortune to do. It’s our little secret that it didn’t :) George was by far the best on price and created a space that looks exactly the way we imagined and discussed it! Every time I walk into the office I look around at the clean, modern, elegant design and thank my lucky stars that I found George and cornerstone.
He worked with us from start to finish in envisioning/​drafting the design, getting it approved with the office landlord, selecting materials (and saving us a ton) and completing the buildout.
He even had his folks work collaboratively with building management on things like, wiring, plumbing and telecommunications.

We recently used Cornerstone Construction to remodel our upstairs master bathroom. I have to say, our experience was by far the best we have had with any remodel project we have done in our house. George gave us a very fair estimate, and stuck to it without losing any attention to detail along the way. After an initial consultation, we purchased all the finish materials and fixtures, and then George’s crew came and installed everything. We are so happy with the finished product, and we can’t even believe it’s our bathroom. It really looks like it belongs in a catalog. His tile guy and his mud/​painter guy are especially good. I was so impressed with the workmanship on the walls and tile.
Lastly, dealing with George was a pleasure, because he is a genuine, good guy. He went over and above what I thought was required of him throughout the project. He recommended paint and tile selections, and told us where to buy them. He responded promptly to all our concerns, no matter how minor. And everything came in within the original estimate. Imagine that!
Needless to say, we have two more bathrooms to remodel in the future, and we won’t have to think twice about who to call. Thank you George.

I am fortunate to have had Cornerstone Construction remodel my home. George did an amazing job and I’m super happy with the results.
Even though this was my first ever renovation, I knew more or less what I wanted to accomplish: a full kitchen and bathroom remodel along with recessed lighting and new paint throughout the house. But I had no idea where to begin looking for a contractor. Fortunately, I met a friend/​client of George’s and got to see the impressive work that George did for him. So I called George and was pleased with how friendly he was over the phone. George has a genuine attitude and really looks out for your best interests, and this stood out to me compared with other contractors I talked to. So I decided to go forward with George.
After going over the plans, George came back with a reasonable estimate and timeframe. But once the demolition work started and I saw how dirty things would get, I worried that the outcome would not look like the pictures on Pinterest or Houzz. Since I’ve never done a remodel before, I wondered if it would take way longer than expected or go way over budget. Fortunately, it didn’t! George’s crew finished on the early end of their projected timeframe and it was within the budget we agreed to. And what a transformation it was! All of the effort put into picking out tile/​counter/​backsplash, fixtures, lighting, appliances, etc. came together and paid off big-​time.
There’s no better indicator of a job well done than all of the WOW’s and other compliments I’ve been getting from guests who come in and see the place for themselves. I highly recommend George and his team for their work!

Cornerstone Construction remodeled my entire home and I am very pleased with the results.
The remodel was extensive; the project included our kitchen, bathrooms, a staircase, and a fireplace. We also made minor floor plan changes, painted the entire interior, and upgraded all the flooring.
I had a fairly good idea of what I was hoping to accomplish with the remodel. I spent a lot of time researching my options and looking for inspiration before meeting with George. Still, George’s experience and ideas took my vision even further. He put together sketches and mock-​ups that helped me explore several options and layouts. Plus, George came up with creative ways to work within our agreed budget without sacrificing quality.
Contractors are infamous for quoting one price at the beginning of a project and then asking for more money once construction begins. With Cornerstone this was never an issue. George broke down the project into logical phases and put together a clear payment schedule in our contract. I appreciated George’s foresight and transparency in this area. Even for a project as large as mine, I was always confident that we were within our agreed budget at every stage of construction.
Cornerstone was able to complete the entire project in under eight weeks by working six days a week. That’s impressive considering the scale of the project. I was also surprised by how many people were working in parallel. There were days when nearly ten people were working on site at the same time.
Even though we were on a tight schedule, Cornerstone didn’t cut corners (no pun intended). Throughout the project, George identified areas that needed attention (ex. corroding pipes, water damaged plywood in one of the bathrooms) and made sure to address them so that I wouldn’t have to deal with a bigger problem down the line.
In the end, the project speaks for itself. It’s been several months since we completed construction and I continually receive compliments from family and friends.

George is not only a nice guy but is also very reliable. He does what he says he is going to do. In the world of renovations… this is really refreshing. Thanks George. My husband and I are looking forward to working with you in the future.

I figured now that it has been over a year since my initial remodel with cornerstone, that I should write an update on the things that have developed since.
As I wrote in my previous review, I had a glowing experience remodeling my entire newly purchased home.
I had just left the downstairs bathroom, the laundry room, and a few odds and ends incomplete.
I had George come back in to finish the place up, and we both got our creative juices flowing on the downstairs bathroom. It was honestly a ton of fun — we would visit the tile places together, and look at fixtures online together, and really got to feed of of each other’s creative energy.
We had websites like pinterest and houzz up tossing ideas back and forth, and finally we created the ultimate bathroom (at least in my eyes :)).
When people come over they say it looks like something out of a fancy hotel, everyone is blown away.
Better yet, it cost SIGNIFICANTLY less than other contractors wanted to charge for a completely basic/​boring bathroom.
In addition, I had an issue with a couple of the cabinet doors in the kitchen getting some paint bubbles in them — no questions asked, George took the doors to his cabinet maker and had them all re-​done.
What an incredible business/​owner to partner with on both large and small contracting projects!

I’ve finally found an honest and affordable construction company! :D
After my parents had to deal with another construction company (that will remain nameless), I made sure to do my homework before hiring anyone to work on my home!
I had recently found a home and I was really worried about closing the deal because the previous owners had completely trashed the house. It was filthy, grimy, and somewhat non-​functional. I asked Cornerstone to come look at the house and for George to give me his opinion. I didn’t want to spend a lot and I didn’t know how to fix it!
I handed George a disaster and I got back a piece of art. Everyone that comes to see the house is amazed especially those that saw the before and after. I had a lot of time constraints so I asked Cornerstone to finish as fast as possible while still maintaining high standards and quality of work. The turn around time… less than 3 WEEKS! He renovated the kitchen (see pic), bathrooms, new paint and carpet aside from giving me additional surprises I didn’t expect (building me 2 closets and using extra granite material to build me a beautiful mantel on top of the fireplace!).
Because I am not creative at all, I trusted George to make a lot of the decisions for me and I am so proud of the outcome. He was like my contractor as well as interior designer! I already referred Cornerstone to two other people I know and he will be working on those projects as well. The thing that I liked the most were how fast the project was completed, how professional George and his crew were (coming on time, and completing what they said they would), and how clean the house was even during construction. He took ownership of his work and when there were roadblocks that got in the way (like a load-​bearing wall I wanted demolished), he worked hard to make sure he met my expectations while keeping the price reasonable.

I contracted Cornerstone Construction to remodel my entire kitchen. All of the tiles, cabinets, and major appliances were done and installed by George Abraham and his amazing team. My experiences to date with George and Cornerstone Construction have been nothing but amazing. They were able to get the job done efficiently and completed everything that we wanted done to our wanting.
