I would like to give a huge shout out to Damian for fixing the steering problem we had with our jeep. My husband and I have spent countless hours, time and money for over a year trying to figure out the steering problem and Damian fixed the problem within an hour. Damian discovered that the bolt to our steering box was stripped and replaced it immediately. Thank you so much for your expertise you are truly a hero in our book.

Damian is without the most honest and decent person I have met in a long time. His shop is clean. He is friendly and doesn’t ding you on unnecessary repairs. I have been going to him for years. I’ve heard that the two people in your life that you need to be the most honest are your dentist and your mechanic. I happen to be a dentist, so I’ve got that covered and now that I’ve found Damian I’m set on that front too.
I’ve seen Damian twice now for random repairs and I can honestly say that I’ve never met a cooler, honest mechanic in my life. This guy is the best! He has a cool shop, great attitude and lots of experience.
First time I met Damian was after I left the Jeep dealership with a quote of $ 1200 for a relatively small repair. I knew what needed to be done but didn’t have the time or experience to do it myself. All I knew is that the dealership was trying to rip me off. So I went to Damian and didn’t say anything. He correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem for about $ 300.
My car just recently needed a repair again. AAA was trying to tow it to some nearby garage and I told them «no way». I had them tow it all the way to Damian’s garage because he’s the only one I trust with my auto repair. He fixed the problem for me at a really fair price and with the speed and expertise that is hard to find in this sea of auto mechanic madness.

As good as it gets is about right in the auto repair world. Damien Smith is a one in a million. Simi Valley Jeep told me I had a $ 1400 to $ 1700.00 noise. This guy fixed it in 30 minutes flat, and THEN went on to tell me I did NOT need the brake job I thought I did need.
Is that UNIQUE, or what?

Damian is amazing! I got his name from a friend who has a Jeep Cherokee and is tight on cash. Every now and then he calls Damian with question and he’s happy to help.
Me, I try to do things on my own as well but being new to Jeeps (had to finally get a Wrangler), I get over my head or just don’t have time now that I own a business. Even though I tell him that price isn’t my first issue, I just want it done well, he asks me what I would like to spend and will continually give me text message (or email) updates when he runs into issues or corners that he can cut. He’s very knowledgeable! Really nice paying via Paypal as well! What mechanic does that? Oh wait, he’s not the average fat and smelly, mechanic.
My first time there, he noticed that my 91 Jeep YJ was lifted and that I seemed to be a car enthusiast as well. He invited me to check out his off-​road club. I talked a buddy into showing up with me and Damian (who was the president at the time) introduced us to everyone and was just really welcoming! He also was the last deciding factor in going to get my Ham Radio License. KK6JCP.

In the land of Snake Charmers, Opportunists and Predators also known as the World of Auto Repair, Damian stood alone and to the side. I have never actually met Damian. A buddy recommended him, after I self diagnosed a worn out timing belt problem on my 2000 Kona Focus with over 200k miles on the clock. The car having an interference motor, chances were that the valves were bent, though the mishap occurred at street speed. I have worked on my cars in the past, and have done some major engine work on cars before., so… not a stranger to things mechanical. Bent valves would have sent the car to the La La land, to the sound of clapping of a few pair hands, despite the rest of it being in arguably great shape. It being my work commuter car with almost a 100 miles a day round trip, I wanted to keep the Ol’ Faithful if I could. Damien gave me an over the phone estimate, and said there’s a good chance it could be saved. I had the car towed there. A few text updates back and forth with Damian, my buddy picks the car up, since he works next door, and drops it off at my house. The car runs great. There was no up sell of you need this and you need that (your brakes are fine he said). I felt I was dealing with a knowledgeable professional. Thanks Damian !

Damian is always dependable, always personable, and always honest. I’ve had both my Buick and my Prius in with him, and he gives a fair and smart assessment, with a quick turnaround every time. I found him from a random zip code search when I first moved to the area, and I am SO GLAD I did… i like his work so much I may drive my cars out to him even after I move!

Finally found a good independent Jeep mechanic in the LA area thanks to a good friend. Although he works on all types of cars, he seems to specialize on Jeeps, which he is also an owner and avid offroader. Good to deal with someone who is familiar with modifying Jeeps for offroad use. Great service and very knowledgeable guy!
