I’ve been going here for years. I’m writing a review now because I recently bought a used car a month ago. The brakes were squealing a week after I bought it. The dealer kept telling me nothing was wrong so after a few weeks I brought it here where the guys found a bolt rubbing against something. They fixed it but spent about 30 to 40 min checking my tires and brakes. They took there time to make sure everything was ok. They didn’t even charge me for this service! They have always been honest with me back when I would bring my old car for service. These guys are great.

I came in to get a smog check and noticed a friendly staff so asked about a problem I noticed with my car performance and what happened next was nothing short of amazing! In a world of fast pace John took his time to not only drive my car but actually helped me research what could be happening. He was the only person yet to point out something to help me fix the problem which I am sure others would have told me it was a need for a new transmission or worse.
He was honest sincere and truly concerned I was blown away!!! Highly recommend him and his team,

Been going to this place for oil changes for years. This time they got me good. I don’t understand about mechanics so I believed them that I needed to pay $ 740 for differential service and replaced 3 joints and injection service. The car ran ok for a couple months then began vibrating again. I took it back to them and they said they couldn’t find any problem. I spoke with another mechanic and he said I needed to check drive shaft. I took car to Drive Line Service of Ventura county and they did a balance and r&r 2 piece shaft for$ 170 and car works great. Econolube ripped me off big time and didn’t fix the vibration problem. Sorry if my explanation of mechanics is weak, but I know and new mechanic confirmed the rip off. Never go back to this place again.

Econo Lube N Tune and Smog is a very trustworthy place to work on your car. They never rip you off and you can save thousands of dollars compared to using a dealer. It is quicker than dropping a car off at other places. This place is a gem. The owner runs it like a family owned business which is rare in auto repair. I service 3 cars here and I would never take my cars any place else.

First and last time customer. After they completed my oil change, the guy tells me my transmission fluid level is almost zero and asked if I wanted him to top it off for $ 29.99. Oddly, I hadn’t felt my transmission acting up so I said no. But something felt funny to me, so after I left, I went to another service shop down the street and asked them to check my transmission fluid level and the guy there tells me it’s completely full. The Econo Lube guy was a crook and flat out lied to me. Will never go back there again. Buyer beware.

This place is just wonderful! The owner, Mario is very knowledgeable about cars and doesnt not rip you off. The rest of the guys are quick and do a great job! Ive been coming here for years and never had a problem! Such great customer service!

My family and I have been coming here for years. Always great service and quick too! Very nice guys here and they always recommend the best. They have very good prices for synthetic oil. They use either Fram for $ 50 or Mobil Super for $ 70. I went with Mobil Super this time.

Getting a cheap oil change is all they’re good for. I was told they used high quality brakes from the shop manager. I got my brakes done here and they squeaked from day one. I took my car back and specifically told them I didn’t want my brakes to squeak so they replaced them again. Needless to say it fixed nothing my brakes sound worse then before I took my car there. For what I paid I was definitely ripped off. They used cheap brakes and didn’t even bother to resurface the brake rotors. Save your money go else where.

I’ve been coming here for the past few months for a regular oil-​change. I drive about 3k miles a month, so I’m practically here every month. But this time they charged me extra for removing the bottom panel cover under my car. It’s not the extra charge it’s the fact that they lied about it. I asked him why I was getting charged for this since I’ve never been charged for it before. He said they started charging last month. I walked out the office after paying them and I asked the manager the same question. He said they’ve been charging that for years. Bullshit! Which one is it? Get your LIE/​STORY straight. If you’re gonna lie about something so small, imagine if it was something else.
Avoid this place, there are a few other places in the area that will provide you the same service or better.

Only go here for an oil change. These guys will try to rip you off as much as they can.
I once went there cuz i trusted them since i got oil change here for 2 years. They know me, and pretend they care about my car and the fixing cost. They charged me with the diagnosis nd didn’t even really check. I compared with another repair shop and the latter shop told me this place has diagnosed totally wrong and they are scamming me. After that, I never go here.

These guys are scam artists. Went in to get radiator flushed for 89 dollars. Was told my thermostat was not working properly and needed to be replaced. Quoted 174 dollars. Since I didn’t have problems prior to going in, didn’t replace it. During the next week, my car went back and forth into the overheating mode but never actually overheated. Went to a responsible mechanic who told me the radiator hose was very lose and that’s what was causing problem, no problem with thermostat. Everything working fine. These guys intentionally left the hose lose in order to try to get a 174 job out of me that didn’t need to be done.

my family has brought in at least eight of our cars (all different makes and models) in the last decade to this place for every type of car issue imaginable, expanding over a couple different ownerships. the people who work here make the place. always a genuine smile, honest explanations (even to tell you specifically that something doesn’t need to be fixed), and good work done quickly.
there are coupons in the chatsworth monthly for oil changes and flushes. i mentioned the coupons at my last visit, and even though none of the work on my car fit any of the coupons, they gave me a discount. trust is the most important thing for car stuff, no? these guys are it!
oh — free fluid checks whenever you want to drive through!

This place tried to charge my girlfriend $ 100 to change the oil on her Corolla. The dealership charges $ 30 less for the same car. These guys clearly tried to rip her off and laughed as she drove away. I will never go here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been coming here for two years already so the workers know who I am. I’m always happy with their customer service. They’re always friendly and they always make sure that my car is okay.
Jesus and all the other workers aren’t all about making money. They are about making sure we all have a safe and good car. They never ripped me off and they always tell me with detail what’s wrong with my car and what needs to be fixed.
I’m leaving soon so before I leave, I would like to give them a nice review. I will really miss this place. It’s hard to find a auto place that’s good and honest.
Trust me, you guys will like econo lube.

Excellent service and reasonably priced. I came here on a Sunday afternoon for a much needed oil change. Although they seemed busy, they had me in and on my way within the hour. David was especially helpful and knowledgeable. He recommended a certain oil for my car, due to the high miles and gave it to me at a discount. They checked my tire pressure and my fluids.
They have a small waiting area, but at least it has AC, cold water, and a Flat screen TV. They even have up to date chic magazines. That’s a plus. Overall great service, diddnt try to up-​sell me, they were quick and affordable. Plus they are open on Sundays!
