Very happy to see a brewery like this come to Chattanooga. That location is great. The taproom is welcoming. Growlers and crowlers are both fantastic gifts. Over atmosphere and brand is very tasteful.
The beer selection was varied and delicious. As a former Chattanoogan places like this make me want to move back!

Solidly awesome on all fronts. The Smith’s ESB was the smoothest, tastiest beer I’ve had in a good long while. The owners are the coolest people in Chatty as far as I’m concerned and they have an incredible staff. Ask to see their kilts. Beer lovers, rock climbers, and generally awesome people should all consider this their new home. Be sure to pick up a custom filled Krauler. Yes its spelled right, you’ll have to ask the owner why its spelled that way. ;)

Hutton and Smith is a great little brewery. The beer is delicious and it’s nice to know that I am supporting a locally owned business when I order it at another restaurant in town.
I would give the play 5 stars if the growler pricing wasn’t so absurd. For a 64oz growler fill they charge $ 15.99. I can totally understand that they cannot afford to sell beer at the price that the bigger breweries can, but a 50% price increase from the standard $ 9-​$ 11 growler fill seems gratuitous to me.
I’ll definitely go back for a brew but I doubt I’ll return for a growler fill.

As a local Chattanoogan, I would encourage any beer lover to stop in to Hutton and Smith. The lovely people running the show leave every guest wanting more. Their beers are spot on and their atmosphere is neighborly and simple.
Even though they are new to brewing on this scale, the beer is competitive in the city.
You’re wasting your time reading this review. Just pack up the minivan and get over there.

Authentic atmosphere for a brewery. The owner and staff were very attentive and friendly. My wife and I were visiting from Wilmington, N.C. and the locals welcomed us like we were family! It was one of the best experiences we have had in a bar/​brewery. My favorite beer was the stout, but she had many great beers on tap. Thanks to David and Steve for being so funny and friendly! It was the highlight of our visit to Chattanooga!
