Best burgers in town and a fun place to get a drink. I love the outside seating area.

Great pub food and a great place for drinks anytime. I recommend the gluttony dog. If Mike is around, he might buy you a drink just for being there. The staff is all great. Parking is abundant and free. The burgers and wings are also top notch! Cheers!

Just had a pretty negative experience at Mike’s. Went in with my roommates to grab a beer and when the bartender asked for our ID’s she held on to them for several minutes while they checked them against a book of out of state ID’s(we all just moved here and haven’t gotten Tennessee ones yet). When she finally brought them back she simply told us they were«supposed to have holograms» on them and walked away without any further explanation. I used my ID to get served beer there literally the day before and there was no issue. We had no choice but to leave since they apparently refused to serve us. Aside from this being embarrassing for all of us, it’s also quite unfortunate because this is one of the few places within walking distance from our house and we were quite looking forward to making it our local spot. Because of this experience I now doubt I will be back to Mike’s in the foreseeable future. Extremely unprofessional.

Okay I guess. I was there once and asked what patty they use for the veggie burger since I am a vegetarian. The bartender, she replied with such a weird expression ‘I am not sure but I can find out for you.’ It seemed it would probably make her too exhausted to find that answer out. I went for mozzarella sticks.

Great service, awesome prices, cool atmosphere, and just an awesome place to hang out. The food comes in large portions, not my favorite place to eat but they do a good job. If you are wanting a chill place to hangout and drink some low priced beer go here!

Terrible service most of the time. Too many bar tenders and no waitresses. Used to be a great place to go.

The best kept secret in Chattanooga is the Poorman’s Brunch on Sunday mornings at The Hole. First rate comfort food like your grandma use to make for breakfast, except without answering the same question seven times and her accidental farts while she shuffles over the gravy. You like bacon? How about house smoked bacon? Homemade sausage? And if you’re lucky, you might catch it on the house smoked bologna day. Eggs are always perfectly cooked to order, and make sure to ask what the special is for the day. Last week was a peanut butter and banana stuffed French toast to die for! Best part? Everything is $ 5.99. Five damn nine nine. Bojangles will run you more than that, and they don’t serve booze! $ 2 mimosa’s, Bloody Mary bar, DMR’s all around! Get to the Hole Sunday mornings, the BEST brunch in Chattanooga!

Yea, sooo… I guess I shouldn’t have had ANY expectations before heading somewhere that literally has«hole in the wall» in the naming, so I guess that was my bad. But seriously. Sat down at a table where my friends were already sat and eating apps(buy one, get one on sundays, pretty sweet if you’re hungover or drunk). No one came to give us a menu or waters or anything for at least 10 minutes. I got up and went to the bar and grabbed my own menus. Only then did someone notice that we hadn’t been helped yet and she said she’d be out shortly. 5 min later she comes out and we were ready to order and get some beers. I start saying what I’d like to order and she cut me off and asked my friend is she wanted a water. When she said yes, she did, the server walked away. WHAAAAAAT?! Anyway, rant over. Service is horrendous, two servers told us two different things about what the app special was. They were nice enough but honestly, WTF. Our table pretty much just talked about how horrible the service was the whole time we were there because it was so bad. The deck is super nice on a nice day. All the apps are deep fried(that’s just a head’s up, not a complaint). Don’t get a salad(but who gets a salad at a dive bar that serves bar food, really? Oh right, that’s my friend). Oh, and there was a questionable substance on the floor in the bathroom that looked like some elicit activity occurred. It might’ve just been a MASSIVE loogie, too…

Met up with a friend on an afternoon. I’m not usually a day drinker on a weekday, but I was off work and this is where the friend wanted to meet. Mike’s is definitely a hole in the wall. There were actually several people in there. I guess because they serve food and it was around lunch time. They have a good selection of beers but I chose a cider. In a can and served to me with a nice cold glass. We sat outside and it was a nice day. I see they’ve added a patio and they have big garage type doors to slide open and let the rest of the bar get a good breeze. They have a pretty decent menu. I chose the ham & cheese sliders. Pretty simple, but yet, my four sliders were burnt. Not cool. They had lots of mustard(a tad too much for me) and pickles. Simple bar food. Should be a no brainer. My dining companion had the same thing and his looked fine. Not burnt. Not sure why cooks burn something and think it’s still ok to serve to a customer. I’ve posted a pic too. It wasn’t so burnt that you couldn’t eat it and it wasn’t worth sending back, but still. A establishment should always serve the best they can. I’ve been to Mike’s a couple of times, but never at night. I’ll have to try it out some time. It’s a neighborhood bar and I know a lot of people just love it.

This restaurant/bar should just stay a bar. The food tastes great until you see the staff from behind the moldy walls. The kitchen definitely needs a health inspection. Workers completely cross-contaminating the food. Witnessed the lack of gloves and zero hand washing. I made myself vomit my hamburger to prevent any food borne illness I may get from the rash covered, toothless staff. I would highly recommend never eating here. The deep fryer oil was black. Cleaner, and bread on the same shelf. Health hazard. Health department please investigate.

I have eaten here four times now. The food has always been very good. The service can be spotty, but this is not a hurry up and eat place. Normally I order a classic burger with bacon and pimento cheese. Today I got the Philly cheese steak. The great thing about it was that they didn’t overload it with onion. Hubby had the Buffalo burger, which he loved. Fries are also great. They are adding more deck space, which will be amazing. Love that there’s a place this good so near us.

This is a dive in dive out kind of place and did mine quick. I saw one girl in here who had about 15 body piercings on her face alone. I bet she is a regular at this little crowded joint. The parking can be a problem if it is crowded. It don’t take much for the parking places to get full. If more than 15 vehicles come, you may not find a parking place. They do have TVs in here and their bathroom is tiny and possibly shared. One thing I didn’t like in here was that everybody was smoking. I thought that you couldn’t do that in public places like this one but, maybe this is more of a bar. menu items ordered: cheeseburger, tator tots and a coke as you can see in my pictures I took in here. I wanted a burger at a new place I never visited before. Cheeseburger was great but at one point the whole top fell off. Tator tots were awesome. In summary, I came and I went quick.

If you’re gonna be the DD, go to Mike’s. Might sound odd to say that, because it’s clearly meant to be a wonderfully divey place to drink. But as the sober one, you get to observe all the foolios playing darts(even when their aim just gets worse) and people watch(plenty of that to go around). While you’re there, order(or even better, get one of your drunk friends to order) the chicken fingers and tots. Yummy, environmentally suitable nighttime treats. A fave local spot for a lot of reasons.

Mike’s is just a great place to eat, drink and hang out. Their burgers are awesome and their daily specials never disappoint. I enjoy lunch there quite often and will continue.

Nothing special it is just a lousy bar. The owners are often here drunk which looks bad. Loud and smokey. Go here to drink not to eat. Service is pretty lousy too. There’s also a lack of seating so you’ll probably have to stand since they have 4 tables.

When I first walked in I was expecting plan old bar food. The décor and layout gave it more of a bar vibe then a delicious eatery. The waitress was very kind and quick, never allowing an empty glass. I ordered the special which consisted of fried grouper and 2 sides. I chose green beans and fried okra, from a list of about 7 or 8 sides. It was not too long after we ordered when a nice older man came walking out with our food, checking to make sure we were satisfied. oh and satisfied we were:). The grouper was fried in a delicious batter as well as the okra, jam packed with wonderful flavor. The older man made another appearance to check on the food and to surprise us with a lovely slice of apple pie. I couldn’t believe it, it was everything I could’ve asked for and more! Oh yeah and it was extremely affordable all of that only cost me $ 7.00. Highly recommended.
