S.C. TreeHouse is a company created by storytellers for the purpose of telling stories. No matter if it’s a book, movie, TV show, YouTube channel, painting, radio drama, stage play, or simply a parent entertaining their family, the story is the most important part of all art and entertainment. It’s what keeps us engaged, it’s what inspires us, and ultimately, the story is what teaches us. After all, why do you think God taught in parables?

History

Established in 2009.

S.C. TreeHouse Productions is the production company for TheStewartSix which consists of Chris, Penny, Susan, Christopher, Jonathan, and Gideon. S.C. TreeHouse Productions came out of the desire for the Stewart Children to create videos, many of which were «born» in the family treehouse. Formed in 2009, S.C. TreeHouse Productions is dedicated to serving the One True God, the Lord of Israel, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe.

Our first project began in late 2009 with an idea for a 45 minute movie (inspired by the Biblical account of Gideon) entitled Beyond Under. Seven months later it had turned into a full-​length film. The time we spent on that project created friendships that we will treasure always.

Our second film, BOO! Do Something (2012), won the Grand Prize (narrative) at the National FilmFest 4-​H and is available on DVD. It contains additional Bible Study footage and handouts (per request); BOO! is designed to fit perfectly in a church or small group setting.

In the beginning of 2015, after producing a web-​series about what we believed as a production company, I decided to take some time away from filming to consult God on what we should be as a company. I wanted to ask God what the mission was He had for us, to sit down and plan with God the next steps to take…

What happened was amazing. God showed me just a glimpse of what He had planed for this simple dream He gave me as a 9 year old boy sitting in a Treehouse my dad had made for me. God gave me a plan for a business, a business that was dedicated to telling the story of how He is working in the world today. This was the birth of S.C. TreeHouse.

So what’s happening next? Only God knows that completely, so you’ll just have to wait and see.
