The Ice Cream Show

Absolutely the BEST ice cream in Chattanooga. They have yogurt and it takes like real ice cream. This place is a must. We’ve been coming since they’ve open. Wonderful!

This place is amazing! After we had dinner we came over to the river front to watch the sunset and walk along enjoying Chattanooga’s outdoor spaces. After crossing the pedestrian bridge we spotted this place.
We walked in and proceeded to the counter. It took me a minute to figure out how this works. Basically you choose either chocolate or vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt. After that they have a long list of add-​ins you can choose from. There is candy, fruit, nuts, etc. Tons of options.
The staff was cool and kept things fun while they made our ice cream.
So, once you pick everything they put it in a machine and mix it all together. I chose to go with a bowl vs a waffle cone. Once mixed together each spoonful was like heaven. It was great ice cream. I love how they mix everything so from the first to last bite you get everything.
The price varies based on the amount of toppings you chose. I went crazy so for two people it was around $ 13…but I did 4 mix-​ins.
If you’re downtown Chattanooga, you need to check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

The ice cream is good. Not great but good. The prices are a ripoff. $ 3.95 for a simple cup of ice cream, plus $ 0.50 per add-​in, plus (and here’s the best part) $ 1.00 extra for a cone? And $ 3.00 to use their ATM? Yeah, the atmosphere is nice, but it’s just Mayfield ice cream that is delivered by truck. I’m looking at that truck right now. A classy ripoff, but a ripoff nonetheless.

The ice cream here is so good. While not revolutionizing the ice cream world, it’s just plain good ice cream with the loveliest texture. You can get mix ins and create any concoction you like with a chocolate or vanilla base. I’m sure that’s good, but I’m an ice cream purist and really like their chocolate, plain, in a waffle cone while I walk the pedestrian bridge.

My husband & I stopped here after visiting Hunter Museum. The staff was do polite and walked you through everything and answered any questions. I love that they actually blend everything together and just don’t use it as toppings.

It’s ok. The main thing it has going for it is being next to the pedestrian bridge in Chatt. It’s ice cream.

A very unique ice cream place. Soft serve unlimited. Every ice cream starts with a base of vanilla or chocolate. You can create your own ice cream flavor. They have fresh fruit and almost every candy. You can make a lot of cool flavors. I only wish the ice cream was a tad harder. When it was served it was already melting. The location by the walking bridge is ideal.

I live in atlanta but my girlfriend lives in chattanooga, which is what brought me to this place for the first time after our first date. The ice is delicious and has a great view of the walking bridge. It is a bit over priced which is the only negative. I come here almost every time I come to chattanooga. The double oreos with chocolate hazelnut waffle cone is the way to go. I can’t wait to come here again

basically how it works is: you choose vanilla or chocolate as your base. and then u just add what seems like an essentially endless list of toppings into your ice cream. then they hand mix /​weird machine mix it for u and dispense it for u. IT IS SO GOOD. try their suggestions on their wall or do your own! you can’t go wrong with anything. i like the vanille with green mint, dark chocolate, and something else (that first suggestion on their pre suggested list)
note: the kids size is deceptively alot!!! i’ve always gotten the kids size (and i eat alot of ice crm) and i feel like its an adequate amt of ice cream. girls (and guys who dont love sweets) i would start off with the kids size first and move up if u feel like u need more. :]
its located in a PRIME location: right next to the walking bridge and down town! this is THE SPOT to get ice cream in chattanooga! #eatlocal workers are great and always friendly, always willing to explain or chat with you. just dont go sit on the rocking horse like my 25 yr old friend did, hahaha.

Highly recommend. The ice cream is good, though not incredibly unique, but the atmosphere and location are what make it a must-​eat for anyone visiting Chattanooga.
It has a quaint storefront that exudes charm. It’s location right next to the pedestrian’s bridge and across from Bluff View Art District make it a perfect place for a snack on a day trip downtown.
It is not too terribly expensive for an ice cream shop, and has many varieties to choose from. The staff is friendly, though not incredibly personable.
If you are planning no a trip to Chattanooga, I encourage you to plan to stop here at some point!

Good ice cream but they push for a tip in the most awkward and uncomfortable way… Very unprofessional «there’s an option to leave us a tip and then just sign» is something along the lines of what they say as they flip the screen over for you to pay and sign… As if we can’t read a receipt. A waitress doesn’t say this at a restaurant nor should they.

this place was much better than i thought and im an ice cream snob. i only give it a 4.4 because of the lack of options other than mix ins.
i thought this would be some private label vanilla or chocolate soft serve but it truly taste like it was hand made or something. really good. very creamy. some of the best soft serve ive had.

I absolutely adore this place. In fact, I love this place so much that I’ve managed to stop by twice during my day-​trip to Chattanooga. That is a lot of lactose for this poor lactose-​intolerant girl, but I still stand by my decision.
I love the concept of this cute ice cream shop. As someone who likes to be creative with their ice cream toppings, I was super excited to try various combinations from their wide selection of toppings. I also really liked that their ice creams were thoroughly blended, ensuring even distribution of the toppings (Cold Stone, I’m looking at you…). They also listed some popular topping combinations for those who need a suggestion. My personal favorite is blueberries, almonds, and dark chocolates with vanilla ice cream.
Since the shop is conveniently located Walnut Street Bridge, you can take a casual stroll as you enjoy your sweet treat; it made me feel slightly less guilty about my excessive indulging habits.

It’s hard to describe this ice cream/​coffee shop, but I like it. I like the décor, I like the ice cream and I like the location. It’s just outside the south end of Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge. Oh, I also like how much it was a perfect date spot.
I was too busy walking around outside taking pictures when my wife decided she wanted ice cream in 20 something degree weather, so I missed the explanation of «how to order» here. But in a nutshell, you choose:
— Either vanilla or chocolate ice cream (or both)
— Frozen yogurt also available
— 40 flavor combinations like green mint, Irish cream, butterfingers, etc.
— An assortment of fruits, chocolates, nuts and other miscellaneous items
— Cup or waffle cone
My wife chose chocolate & vanilla froyo with a snickers blended in. It was delicious!
FINAL THOUGHTS
We spent a romantic and slightly frozen weekend in Chattanooga. Although we didn’t have any expectations of the city, its charm made for a memorable 17^th Anniversary weekend of refreshing our love for one another. It was just so pleasant to walk the bridge, visit the aquarium, admire the landscapes, sculptures and river views. But it was especially heartwarming to sit and share a cup of delicious froyo in a cute and cozy little shop. It felt very much like a high school date, and her girl-​like enthusiasm for eating ice cream while it was snowing could only be rivaled by dancing in the rain. I love my wife, I love my life and I love the Ice Cream Show.

This is custom-​blended ice cream. Like getting soft-​serve with your toppings intact within. I’m going to describe this as a cross between a DQ blizzard and anything Cold-​Stone or Marble Slab does. They actually blend your choice of toppings into your ice-​cream. None of that mash-​by-​hand business. The results are a smooth, more uniform consistency.
I hear they make their waffle cones in-​house, though I did not try one. And service was fast and friendly. The courteous fellow behind the register took good care of us.

You definitely go here for the location and experience not necessarily the high quality ice cream. The base is Mayfield ice cream or yogurt. Chocolate or vanilla are the only flavors, then you can mix in dozens of different toppings. Then they blend it and scoop it into a cup or cone. The ice cream wasn’t great. I got cheesecake with black cherry in vanilla yogurt and it was tasty, but not incredible. My wife had coffee as a topping and it was way too overwhelming, so definitely don’t recommend.
They do make their waffle cones and bowls in house which is a huge benefit.
The location right near the arts district is great too.

My favorite ice cream shop in the south. You pick your flavors and they put them in a blender and mic them with vanilla or chocolate and give it to you. Easy but intelligent, It’s actually very good invention and marketing strategy for this kind of business and makes a great snack.
Tonight is the first time I have been here in maybe a year but I am coming back more. It is located to the left just before you will across the walking bridge called Walnut Street Bridge.
