Craft stores always overwhelm me because of how much there is available and the organization of it all. However, I am usually able to go in and out of this Michaels location without too much hassle. My most recent trips have been for scrapbooking materials, and those are always relatively simple to locate. They had a decent selection, but they did run out of Christmas stickers prior to Christmas. This was unfortunate, but I noticed that what was left was on sale for 50% off and this probably caused the rapid decline in stock. On the other hand, Michaels should have planned to stock more materials around the holiday season, especially when those materials were relative to the holiday. Get it together, Michaels. Other than the above, I have no complaints! I like that they still honor JoAnn Fabrics coupons, a trick that I remember my mother using when I was younger and would shop with her for art supplies(probably not so much a trick since everyone knows about it, but I like to think I am being sneaky).

Arts & crafts rule the world. Especially when you get to do them on your own and can use coupons to get the supplies.(Michael’s never has a shortage of coups) This is the only place I will buy my canvases from. They go on sale very regularly so I don’t think I’ve ever actually paid full price for them. The ones I get come in packs of 6 – 7 canvases, depending on the size you get. Paints are expensive so definitely make sure you come during a sale or bring your coups. It currently looks like Christmas threw up all over the store, but that’s most places right around this time of year, so I won’t hold it against them. They are always in stock of the things I need and the workers are generally very friendly. Make sure you hit up the sale section, random good finds. X’s and O’s! J

I’ve just never been real impressed with this chain — this location had ample free parking of course, but the store itself seemed to be stressed out. Maybe it was just a hectic time and having everything in it’s place marked is a bit tricky at this time, but it never seems to change no matter when I’ve been here! The prices are ok, but nothing to write home about — staff are typically ok — if you can find them.

I generally like Michaels stores. They are all a little crowded, they just have so many different things they sell for whatever craft project you might be doing. Sometimes it takes a while to find what you came for, but odds are with a little patience you will. They really carry a remarkable selection of things. This store is no different. If you are in the area it’s bound to have what you want. Easy parking.
