A Spa To Remember By: Marsha Camillieri

I’m new to the area, now living in Lowell. After looking around Unilocal for reviews on Brazilian Waxes, I called A Spa to Remember because they do a full Brazilian. Some places around here were advertising a pseudo Brazilian which was described to me as «Barely there», but meaning that the aesthetician clearly wasn’t going to be super thorough.
Not the case with Marsha! She asked me exactly what I wanted and delivered. I asked for my underarms and a Brazilian (to be specific, since it’s in question around here, she removed EVERYTHING underneath except for a small triangle on top). She used a soft wax, which miraculously left no traces, and a post-​wax oil that really soothed. She was quick enough to lessen the pain, but not so fast that she was sloppy or inconsiderate. She was a total pro and I felt very comfortable.
I have gotten waxed at several places in NYC, including for the original Brazilian at the J-​Sisters salon, also in Paris and London. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best Brazilian I’ve had. I’ve certainly gotten wax jobs that were just as thorough, or just as friendly, or efficient, but I’ve never had one that was all of the above. And I’m still marveling that there is no residual stickiness anywhere!
The price was a high — 71 $ after a 15% new customer discount, but if you can afford it, it’s worth it

I have been here many times over the past few years mostly for massages. My husband gave me a gift certificate for a massage and body polish. I used it just the other day and have to say it was a little slice of heaven!!! The body polish does burn a bit but feels great to get all of that dead winter skin off and the hot shower after with the multiple shower heads are awesome! The best part if course was the massage and I have to compliment Diane on her skill, it was one of the best I have ever had! I was so relaxed I felt like I «melted» into the table! I will be back many times to come for sure!

Not excellent but not bad either for a first time visit. Very nice and professional. Small space. Small parking area. I had a massage and was pleased by the service. I wasn’t too happy with how long she tried to sell me their massage club membership. But it didn’t take anything away from the experience. About a week later i received a letter in the mail from them thanking me again for my business. So overall, nice place and nice people. I would recommend trying out the facials there if it’ll be your first time.

Had been there a couple of years ago and was not impressed. But recently was given a gift certificate, so decided to try it again and went in for a massage. The spa is small and somewhat cramped (doesn’t really fit my image of a «spa»), but the staff up front were both friendly and professional. I was scheduled for a sports massage with Dan. I will admit, I was a little concerned when I first met him. He is young, very young. I’ve now been in twice to see him, and it is a little weird talking to him — feels like I’m talking to a high school kid. But, he did an excellent job! He really worked out all my muscle issues, with enough pressure to really get the knots out, but not so much that it was uncomfortable. My body felt so relaxed immediately after, and muscles were much looser in the days following. I had been having some ongoing headaches, and after my massage with Dan, the headaches were completely gone. I’ve had many massages that were nice, but his was the first in which I went back and requested a specific therapist, and also the first time I’ve scheduled my next visit before leaving.
3 stars for the spa itself, but 4 stars for Dan.

Excellent spa. Clean and professional setting. I have had several treatments including bikini wax, facials and glycolic peels. All dones by the owner Marsha. She is extrememly professional and does a wonderful job. I cannot believe the results from my facials and peel, my skin is looking great thanks to Marsha! She also took the tiem to show me her product line and reccommend products that are working out great for me. I am so happy I found my new spa! The prices are reasonable as well.
