My girlfriend had her ½ carat diamond removed from a gold ring setting and placed in a gold pendant setting. She had to ask P. Church for the ring setting back (they tried to keep it). Years later, when we had the stone removed from the pendant setting, we found out that it was not gold, but a gold plated gray metal.
