Radisson Hotel & Suites

I was very surprised to see two stars on this hotel. I stayed overnight for a conference I stayed in the building where the Resturant was, first I extremely surprised how large the hotel was. The room was VERY VERY CLEAN! The bed was like heaven I slept like a baby the bed was sooo comfy. I also forgot my toothpaste the front desk was nice enough to send one up to me since it was such a long walk to the other building. The tv was good had plenty of premium channels. There is a dining room and a Resturant that had a live band playing which was very nice and a full bar. In Friday it closes at 11pm that’s the only downside. In the morning I went to the dining area since breakfast was not complimentary I had chocolate chip pancakes the short stack they were HUGE! I could not finish it. But overall I would definitely stay again. The reason I did not give it a perfect score is I felt the hall carpets needed some cleaning and I pressed 1R on the elevator by mistake and it is a huge hazard what I seen for anyone to get in there by mistake. The hotel is old and outdated. The sleep number beds are broken and stuck on extremely firm. My child cut her foot on the broken pool ladder and needed six stitches. They reopened the pool the next day like nothing ever happened. I just learned from a friend that this is NOT the first child to badly cut them self on this broken metal ladder. I am disgusted. Please be careful if you swim in this pool or know anyone else that does. I hope no other child gets hurt by this negligence. Find another hotel.

My family had rented a space in the hotel for a sweet 16 celebration. The inside of the hotel, up to certain point looked spacious and clean. Outside the room that was rented there was tons of space for the kids to run around and go crazy. No one once complained about all the kids making a mess and noise which is a plus. Steve at the bar was great. He remember every time what my drink order was and took very good care of me all throughout the night. The ladies working that banquet table were very sweet. I had a chance to go into a couple of rooms and they looked «older» and worn out on top of the horrible musky smell. They also have a pool. Is not the high end, 5 star costumer service I get in other places but it was good enough. I myself would never stay here unless is super needed.

My husband and I had a corporate booking. We stayed for a couple of weeks here while we went apartment hunting.
The location was very convenient for us as DHs workplace was a couple miles away. They even provided a shuttle to and fro. Everything (grocery, gas, food, pharmacy, even laundry if you don’t want to pay up for the hotel’s exorbitant rates) is available within a walking distance of the hotel premises.
We found the common areas and elevators could use better maintenance. Especially the carpets, they stink!
The room we were given was well maintained with good furniture. The housekeeping service was extremely professional. They made sure to replace all the essentials (linen, toiletries, water bottles, coffee/​tea) daily. I happened to burn a pan while cooking and they promptly replaced it with a new one. The bed however needs replacement. It does give sore muscles in the morning.
Everything else has been mentioned before. Good water pressure, consistent hot water in the shower, and fast wifi.
We found the people at independence bar and grill to be very friendly (thank you Eleanor). They can accommodate any variations in the menu. For example, if we said we didn’t want home fries with our sandwich they would offer to replace it with fruits. However the corporate menu itself can do with a few more additions. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
The only reason I am docking a star is that when we arrived with 5 huge suitcases we would have been glad to receive some assistance in transporting them to our top floor room.

I have stayed in the Littleton, Chelmsford, Fort Devens area too many times to count, so I feel like I have a fair understanding of value and what to expect from a hotel.
Ok. let me give you the pros.
1. The internet service is fast. It was easy to get access to, and I could stream netflix without any lagging.
2. There are a number of restaurants around the area to choose from. A lot of these small towns are pretty isolated.
Now the cons.
1. There was no explanation of how breakfast worked when I checked in or if it was included in the room price. When I called the front desk I was told «it’s a sit down restaurant you can order what you like». I try to eat healthy when travelling for business so my breakfast normally consists of juice and egg white scrambled eggs. The morning came and I sauntered down for breakfast. The lady at the front podium seemed irritated that I wanted something other than their breakfast buffet. When I asked for egg whites scrambled she said «we have eggs over there». I said I understood, but wanted egg whites. She said she would have to check to see if it was available. I was like really? Just let me go cook up some egg whites for crying out loud.
2. The hotel is really, really dated. I think my room was clean, but the carpets had stains on them. The elevator was loud, and slow moving. There are marks everywhere that the building just needs TLC.
3. The fitness center left a little to be desired. Their website advertised a full set of free weights, but they were missing a few dumbbells. I also like a pull up bar for my workout which they don’t have, but I understand that’s pretty picky on my part.
I won’t be staying here again.

First the good… many of the things that have bothered other posters weren’t a problem for me. The room was clean and well maintained during my stay, he bed was fine and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure in the shower. The public areas appear to have been updated recently, at least in terms of carpet and wallpaper. OTOH, the furniture is very dated and worn. I sank right down on the couch and the chair. The wood furniture was pretty scuffed. The pool was okay although the room was oddly dark and the pool itself needs a new coat of paint. This was an an overflow hotel for a conference and I probably wouldn’t do it again, but I think it would be fine for an overnight.
One plus is the presence of different food service options within walking distance plus a Walgreens. There’s a Dunkin and a Domino (not that anyone should bother), the kind of Chinese restaurant that converted from bad table service to bad buffet about 20 or 30 years ago. On the plus side, there is a specialty grocery store (Chelmsford meat) and a better than average pizza place (Jimmy’s) and what appears to be a modestly upscale restaurant (110 Grill). There’s Stop & Shop and a Market Basket about a mile toward Lowell.

3 stars because the rooms are large and equipped with mini fridges. Other than that, there are a lot better places to stay. The hotel is hard to find as it is not off of a main road and my taxi driver got lost. Once there, the layout of the hotel makes it easy to get lost, which I did on more than one occasion. The décor is 80’s and very dated. I probably would not stay here again.

I recently attended a sweet 16 event at this hotel. Although the event itself was very special and the 16 year old friend of my daughter’s had a great time and looked beautiful, I have to say that it left many of us visiting parents extremely disappointed.
I’ll start with the bar — very expensive for adult beverages for sure! I got one beer (Coors Light) and a Captain’s and Ginger Ale — $ 13.00! That means the beer was approximately $ 5 and the mixed drink was $ 8 — really? This is definitely on the expensive side. Maybe they «jacked» up the price because it was a sweet 16 and they knew there would be few alcoholic beverages served or maybe they are always this pricey — either way — unacceptable.
The food — the choice was minimal which is probably due to the host of the party making the choices so it’s not so much the lack of variety but more the sparse amount of food. They had 3 choices which was chicken/​broccoli/​ziti — chicken tenders — French fries and salad. The choice was fine, but the food ran out. Now I do know for a fact that the host of the event set this up for 60 people but due to some misguided guests — some chose not to respond to the event but show up anyway. Typically though — a large hotel such as this who handles weddings and such normally provides an abundance of food. So if you say 60, they plan for an additional 10 people and you always end up with leftovers. I know this because I book events as part of my job and my events venues always provide more food than we need based on the # of attendees I provide. They lacked in keeping up with the food and did not refill the food when it ran out in a timely manner in my opinion.
The non-​alcoholic beverages — these were put out in your standard stainless steel carafes for people to pour themselves which is fine, except that they must have put them out way before the event started because I was there at the very beginning to help out and the ice that was in these carafes had quickly melted and left these beverages watered down and flat. This remained this way the entire night — to the point where the kids were asking what it was when they tasted it as it didn’t taste like it was supposed to. This was mentioned to the host but no idea if any staff followed up — but clearly no one was checking to make sure they were full or fresh.
I have been to this hotel for our annual Easter Brunch every year for the past 20 years with my husband’s large family and we have seen a decline in the quality over those years — to the point where this past year we opted to go somewhere else since it is very expensive on Easter and not worth the money anymore.
I would not recommend this for a wedding or major event but the brunch is still OK for a Mother’s day or Easter brunch, but plan on spending quite a bit per person during these times.

Darn it, have to stay here again since the Courtyard was full :(. This time, I have to sign a piece of paper when I check in saying that I promise not to bring dogs into the room or smoke. Too late! The room reeks :(.
This room is ginormous but oddly laid out with a dreaded Sleep Number bed in one corner of the room, one of the flimsiest desks I’ve ever used in the other corner of the room and random furniture in between. I seriously am afraid the desk will fall apart. The desk chair is broken (sinks a little more every 5 minutes).
This time there is plenty of leaded coffee in the room so I’m happy but a decaf drinker wouldn’t be.
Even at our corporate rate of $ 105/​night, this place is a dump.

Went for the brunch on Mothers Day 2015. The brunch was amazing but what was even more amazing was the entire staff of workers.
Each and everyone of them were more than just professional.
They were very personable and pleasant.
They couldn’t do enough fro you.

Some of the staff were very friendly and courteous, service was ok at best in general. The cleaning staff are just going through the motions the dresser and TV literally have a layer of dust I know because I wrote I it and it was still there the next day! (Even after The front desk was notified and spoke to the manager twice — unbelievable. The night staff seem to be much more professional and courteous than the day staff. As a hotel it does what it needs to do but not much more. The place looks beat up when you sit and really look at everything. It is dated and needs upgrades badly. The bed was solid and not in a good way. The rugs look somewhat worn and the furniture is utilitarian at best. The price is high for what your getting and the amenities are few and far between. No soda machines in the building and 2 ice machines for 5 floors. Plenty of options locally for food is my recommendation versus the room service and in-​house restaurant.

The front desk attendant (Emily) needs a bit ‘o training on how to handle patrons. I never stayed there because i live in town, but they have a pool which can be used by the public for a fee. The main 800 number for Radisson told me that it was $ 5 per kid 12 and under and $ 10 over 12. I asked if I (being the dad) would have to pay if i didnt swim. They said no. So we get there. It was Me, my daughter and 2 friends. My daughter is 12 and I though the other two were. So i said three kids 12 years old. Emily said $ 30. I said no, its $ 5 each and told them that is what the 800 number said. Emily replied «that is our policy.» Luckily, i was wrong, as her two friends were 11. So we wound up paying $ 20. She then tried to charge me and again, I said «I am not swimming». She said that is our policy. I said fine, I will wait in the lobby. She said I couldnt as they were kids. I told her to charge me the kid price. She wouldnt budge. Never the less we went in, but I refused to pay. That was the end of it and this will be the last time this Radisson or any Radisson gets my hard earned money.

This place looked super nice when we pulled up and checked in! Was given a room as far away from the lobby as possible. Got a room on the fifth floor, accidentally pressed the third floor button on the elevator. Said «ewww, gross! Glad we aren’t on this floor!» Joke was on me! Once doors opened on the fifth floor, I just laughed!
The walk to our room at the very end of the hallway was an obstacle course! Empty plates, glasses, cups, napkins and silverware were EVERYWHERE in hallway!
Finally, get in the «Non-​Smoking» room and it reeeeeeks of stale, old cigarette smoke, moldy air!
The beds SUCK! First night, I woke up with a SORE back! Mattress were awful! Plus the adjustable beds didn’t work!
No mini fridge! No microwave! No hair dryer! AC sucked!

I stayed at Radisson before and liked it. This time with this one is a total nightmare. The room and the hotel are filthy and I have to pay $ 140/​night while a much more cleaner, better looking motel6 half block down the road is $ 60/​night. The pictures and the advertisement from
are all bs. My recommendation is never to use this Radisson.

Yep. All the negative review are valid. This is a sub par hotel at a premium rate. Only bright spot was the bar. My room smelled like dog. Carpet dirty. Generally in poor condition.

I’ve got various complaints about this place.
1. Even though it was a corporate stay the price of this hotel was extremely high. Howard Johnsons offers more bang for your buck.
2. No amenities! Really even motel six offers complimentary breakfast. I don’t use the gym much but this place wanted to charge $ 5.00 per person to use it. The pool was free to use although it looked old and moldy.
2a.The beds!!! Almost forgot the sleep number beds!!! Seems to me they had a hole somewhere I woke up on the frame.
3. On day 2 of my stay and without notice they changed out the carpets in the hallways, the workers didn’t even put up signs and left glue on the floor in front of the elevators, needless to say when I stepped out of said elevator i stepped into the glue ruining my shoes and almost breaking my neck. By the way it also stinks now more than the usual musk in the air. I called the front desk about this and they told me that they would clean my shoes for me and give me a MOVIE for free! As they don’t have much of a channel selection.
4. They «offer» late check out (mind you I’ve been here a week) subject to availability** yet when i called to ask to check out 1 hour later they told me they did not have the space, yet I sat in front of the room (waiting to get picked up) for that time and not one person came by to see if i had checked out nor had they cleaned out the room for the next customer.
All in all I had a very bad experience and will never go to this or any of their chain again if I can help it.
To those whom may comment about the fact that i am complaining too much, here is what i have to say:
When i go to a hotel i expect to be treated as good if not better than at home, also i expect the same if not better amenities than the last place I stayed at. If the place does not meet these standards i will make it a point to let everyone know.

Review is for the hotel. Experience was quite the opposite at the restaurant here…
I give credit to the front desk staff. (Singular).
There is literally one person running the whole show and I felt SOOO bad for her…=(
She kept a positive attitude and I appreciate that.
I stayed here for work. It’s a pretty good deal for what you get. The rooms are HUGE!!!
Too bad they are SOOO far from Boston… I would recommend this to someone coming for work but NOT for someone trying to see Boston. Public transport doesn’t work this far out. The only thing that makes it this far out is the commuter rail and I heard that’s not ideal and doesn’t work as well as the T.

Booked here by corporate. Don’t believe I’ve stayed at a Radisson before.
Service: Everyone I encountered seemed pleasant. With that said it also seemed like everyone seemed distracted or maybe tired. No complaints. (3)
Location: This place is hard to find. It’s tucked way back behind a bank and a few other businesses. Signage is poor. Finding this place at night is a crap shoot. The proximity relative to where I needed to be was good. (2)
Facility: Dated. Overall it seemed pretty clean… not immaculate but pretty clean. The exterior and interior is unremarkable. Water pressure was very good. Almost instant hot water which is remarkable for most hotels but given prior reviews I’d say I was surprised. (2)
Eats and drinks: Small restaurant. Nice people working it but seemed a little over taxed. Decent size bar for this hotel. Service was friendly. Very limited menu and ok beer selection. Guinness tap was clean any they poured a nice pint. BLY made with regular white bread and not toasted (minimal effort here). Clam chowder tasted pretty good the first night and not as good the second. (2)
Value: it was $ 89 for the night. I would say its on the high end of fair. (2)
Overall it seems like they are doing the best they can with an aged and poorly laid out facility. I would stay there again without hesitation if I need to come back but I would also look to see if there is a a better value in the area.

A mostly bad hotel. I was there for a four day corporate stay.
There is very little water pressure even on the second floor (of 5). The shower/​tub itself is actually too small to place toiletries. Don’t count on reliable hot water as there wasn’t any for two of my four days.
Some of the beds are Sleep Number beds (apparently not all of them though). Sleep Number, whoever you are, Radisson is not doing you any favors. I can safely say that I’ll never consider purchasing one of these awful beds.
The attached restaurant and bar are very below average. Rude bartenders/​waitresses, anemic menu and bad food.
So Radisson, I’ve already spoken to our company travel department and they said they’ve heard nothing but complaints about your place. They’re already re-​evaluating their options in Chelmsford (‘Chumsfuhd’, apparently), MA.
I wish they’d done that before my stay.

There is a reason we only had to pay $ 109 for this place.
1) The bottom of my flip flops turned black from walking around on the carpet. Glad I wasn’t barefoot.
2) Housekeeping banged on our door before 8 am (which is really 7am for us because of the time change) and then again at 8:30.
3) The shower water started out warm but quickly became cold.
4) The lights from the next room came in through the vent? Weird, I didn’t know that could happen.
5) It kind of smelled.
6) There were bed bugs. Unfortunately we did not know this until the next day or obviously we never would have stayed.
