Khelsea’s Pizza

Normally I do not post reviews, yet I felt compelled to post this. During CNA (Nursing assistant) appreciation week, One day at work I ordered my staff pizza as a way to say «thank you» for all of their hard work.
Not from Chelsea, I didn’t know where to order from. Someone suggested khelseas. When the multiple pizzas were delivered I was shocked. All four of the pizzas were separating by each slice because they were so DRY. I have NEVER seen this before. The pizza was tough, dry and so thin that is was inedible.
So I promptly called and spoke with the manager. I explained the situation and he stated that the dough «was bad.» And offered to send replacement pizzas. Considering that all Of the staffs shifts were over, it was useless. By the time the replacement pizzas would get there everyone would be gone by the time they could get them to us. He then offered to reimburse the money for the pizZas that I paid on my personal credit card. I was in agreement with this. Many days passed and no credit was given.
For the next week, I called multiple times and this manager gave me the runaround during each and every conversation. Wait a few more days, let me look into it, let me talk to the boss. Eventually I got sick of his excuses and asked to speak to the owner. After explaining the situation, The owner told me he would give me a cash refund. Yet I had to come in the specific hours he was there. Which was very inconvenient. Eventually he told me he would reimburse my credit card because of our conflicting schedules. Yet this was never done. When I called YET AGAIN, he stated he would call me back. which he never did. I find this to be in bad taste and very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place at all.
This business has terrible food, Terrible customer service and is a complete rip off. What a waste of money. Especially since I didn’t just waste money on one pizza, it was MULTIPLE PIZZAS. If you’re smart you’ll order elsewhere.
This is not even one star!

I ordered the food when I walked in and I was pretty amazed on how fast the food was done. The pizza is very basic but that is a place that is a very last resort kind of place for pizza. The wings were not bad not overly done in buffalo sauce but lacked any consistency on the wings themselves, very basic nothing fantastic about them. But the only upside on them is Spanish food the tostones and chicharron where amazing cooked perfectly. Really really good just pleasantly surprised by it.

Pizza okay but the chicken fingers were absolutely disgusting. They looked and tasted like they came out of the freezer case of a grocery store. Actually, they tasted even worse than the ones at the grocery store. Horrible. What the hell are they thinking serving such substandard crap and calling them chicken fingers?

So… I went to Khelsea’s today as a last resort due to cancelled dinner plans. I ordered two slices of pizza and fries.
You’re probably thinking to yourself, «You can’t fuck THAT up, right?»
WRONG… Khelsea’s fucked that up!
So as my fries are being prepared I’m looking behind the door at the employees in the kitchen, and one of them (glasses, a little chubby, long brown hair with durnt-​red dyed ends) is eating food with her GLOVES ON, WITHOUT CHANGING THE GLOVES.
And this isn’t once or twice… this is multiple times.
To make it even more disgusting, her coworker is in the back eating cheese off of pizza with his BARE HANDS before he pops it in the pizza oven!!!
By this time I HAVE FUCKING HAD IT!!! So i say something to the lady at the register (who was very nice, by the way)
I say (Nice and calmly), «Hey excuse me, one of your employees is back there eating product with gloves on, without changing her gloves.»
I get an, «Oh my, I’m so sorry! She wasnt doing that ALL day!» (What does that even fucking mean!?)…she then proceeds to go tell them whatever. Great!
My fries are done my pizza are done, and as im finishing my transaction… the lady behind the counter, that I was referring to in my complaint… kept looking at me.
So I started to feel suspicious.
I took my fries out… and checked them. JUST IN CASE…
found nothing.
Good.
But then I went home. Set my table, started grubbing. I’m damn-​near done with my fries, when BAAAAM!!!
THERE IT FUCKING GOES! A HAIR! I nice fine piece of hair, THAT IS NOT MINE… because we are Black in my house. With Natural hair.
I have am Afro and my Girlfriend has Locs. So this is not OURS.
I’m sure they didn’t anticipate me living right around the corner, because I brought my ass back so fast, they didn’t even know what to think.
Soon as I walk in that bitch I get a very concerned, «Ohhhh noo, What’s wrong?»
Me: «I’ve got a hair in my fries, that’s what’s wrong! This is NOT OKAY! I mean really, It’s fries, how do you fuck that up»
Her: «Well, I did speak to them»
Me: «Yea, about GLOVES, not ABOUT HAIR! and Yea you spoke to them, and LOOK, now I have hair in my food»
I pick the piece of hair up and put it on the counter it was half burnt-​red and brown, just like the employee who was eating the food, AND staring at me in the back!
As soon as she saw that… Cash register was open and I got ALL MY MONEY BACK, didn’t even have to ask for it.
Her: «I’m so sorry about this, I really did talk to her»
Me: «Yea, I bet you did, that’s why I’m HERE!»
Her: «Oh No, I don’t think it was done intentionally!».
Me: «It’s FRENCH FRIES… how do you screw that up? You guys need to look into hairnets/​hats or something (which they should have).»
And then I leave, with No plans of EVER coming back. I’d really rather starve.
So there it is people. I’m very fair. And I know you get what you pay for, but should I really put up with bullshit? My $ 5 is MY $ 5 That I work hard for. It should be respected and so should my food.
Hope this helps. If you’re looking for fast food, I know your limited. Get food from the Brown Jug, instead. They serve pretty good food, at a descent price. AND I’m sure you won’t find hair in it!

I will never go there again the last straw was cheeseburger subs with no cheese instead of replacing the subs she wanted to give me cheese I said will he bring a lighter to melt it and hung up I will never order there again and I spent at least a hundred a month good luck order new help

Sent me a spoiled clam chowder soup and had the nerves to try to charge me delivery charge to bring me a new order and horrible customer service super rude and inconsiderate when I put a post on my FB about it a lot of people told me they’ve received bad service from there including molded bread so don’t eat here people unless you wanna be running to the bathroom

My brother resides in Chelsea, MA. We reside in Ann Arbor, MI and are here visiting our home state. Our flight arrived at 10:00 PM and by the time we got situated we got to Khelseas a little late… but we were hungry! Even if they were annoyed because it was so close to closing they were friendly. They were busy too, up until closing with pick up orders.
We ordered the Khelseas Special without onions. It was good. I’m picky about my crusts and it was cooked perfect. Nice little pizza joint! From what it seemed, they had a variety on their menu.

Can’t beat the price… delivery is always on time too. If ya strapped for cash & need a quick fix, this is the spot. Portions are decent too.

Ordered via grubhub and they confirmed they received the order, yet the food just never showed up. They kept claiming they were coming every time we called until it got to be the time they closed and they just stopped answering the phone. Thank goodness we paid through grubhub and they could refund our order!

Food is average but service is horrible. They take credit cards but they need to literally imprint your card if not they would rather lose a customer. They dont keep records there which is not how you run a business.
I had the same discussion before and the manager said its ok just tell whoever takes the order the manager says its ok. But no one there has a clue.
I am a chef and I know what it takes to please and give the customer a good dining experience. These people are amatuers. Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t waste his breath.

the food was great but was missing the correct portion of meat in the food. i felt the amount of food given for the amount spent was off… Great taste though.
