Best pizza in Chelsea! We recently moved into Charlestown and have made a few trips back to Chelsea just to eat here! Plus, prices are really reasonable.

Review is for the new location. Came in to the bar last night for the Pats playoff game against the Broncos. If you watched that game drinks were def in order, but not here to talk about the Patriots. Let’s talk food. Good local bar, couple interesting patrons, but overall had a good experience. Sat at the bar and both the male and female bartenders did their jobs very well. They checked in on us from time to time, while waiting on the rest of the bar/bar tables as well and that’s during a pats game too, so extra stars given. Props to the management for the good bartenders and to the bartenders for keeping our glasses full. Good bar food with some healthy choices, which is hard to find at bars. Ordered a Gluten Free Pizza with meat and veggies. First time trying a gluten free pizza and it was really good. The pizza was crispy underneath, which is hard when your cooking vegetables because they tend to soggy everything up. I give management credit for putting options like that on the menu and hitting it out of the park when it comes to taste. In conclusion, good place to grab a pie while watching the game. Most likely will be back. Cheers.

I was at the bar tonight, have not been there for years. The bar service was exceptional as the girl working were all attentive, pleasent and most importantly smiling. I have been I the business for 28 years and can tell you this is rare. To the owner, you are very lucky. I think the bartender was Alicia? Count your blessings Brown Jug, help like that is hard to find, they are why people come back… I certainly will because of her!

This place is really good, good staff, good waiters/waitresses but the waitress completely forgot about us. Like how can you forget about your job? but the pizza is good there and they serve fried dough bites there and that is definitely a plus because usually restaurants never serve that. So the whole place is good but some of the waitresses gotta know whats going on. Other than that this place is fantastic.

Pizza was good, service was better. I like the pizza/beer special, having a pitcher is nice because you don’t have to keep asking, waiting, etc. We had a pretty good time. Toasted raviolis weren’t so great. I’ve had better but they weren’t bad. Brightly lit, not cozy, etc. But a fun pizza joint. In any case, we liked the place.

Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza which was mediocre. The pizza had barely any chicken on it– so it shouldn’t even be advertised as having chicken. We also ordered a side of cheese fries which were stale and had barely any cheese on it. We were half a mile away from the location and delivery took about an hour. Would definitely not recommend this place and won’t be eating there again.

They make the best wings and have quick and free delivery! Even on Sunday’s during football it doesn’t take long to get your order and it always comes hot! There are several different sauces to pick from and they’re all great. Highly recommended!

Went there on Saturday 11÷28÷15 for lunch, the place was empty. Ordered an antipasto which was very good and very fresh. The pizza on the other hand was not great. We ordered a cheese with olives eggplant and garlic. The dough was extremely flat and hard like a breadstick. The edges were hard and had no softness or air bubbles or irregular edges like you would get on a freshly rolled out dough. The toppings were tasteless. Too bad because we had been there a few other times and the pizza was good. We asked the waitress, and she said each cook does it different.

Was really excited to try this place out after reading some good reviews, ordered seasoned fries and a buffalo chx wrap, order took maybe 50 minutes, give or take, that’s not the worst part, I open my plate and there was water seeping out of my wrap, tried to pick it up and it was mush! I tried my best to eat through the edible bits but the squishyness of the soggy lettuce and the tortilla won the battle, I couldn’t. This sucks: T

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My roommates and I were craving some buffalo wings, and ended up on Unilocal.Based on the reviews and pictures that people had posted, we decided to order two large wings from Brown Jug. Now I’m not sure if it was because the kitchen was almost closing, but the wings were TERRIBLE. They tasted like cardboard, there was no sauce on them, and they were burnt(pictures we’ll be posted). I’ve never had wings this bad. And the blue cheese tasted like nothing. The whole meal was just awful. I really wish I could get my money back. If you’re thinking about ordering from here, you’re better off going to Wal-Mart and getting the frozen Tyson wings for about $ 8. At least you’ll get something moist.

Ordered delivery while staying at a local hotel. Was sad to hear all the calzones were pre-made, thus couldn’t customize for people who didn’t want certain items(like onions). Ended up getting the fried pickles, a bbq chicken calzone and a cheese pizza. The pizza and calzone lacked taste and weren’t very enjoyable. The fried pickles however were quite good. I’d heard good things about this place but my first experience wasn’t great.

We were staying at the Marriott Residence Inn in Chelsea Massachusetts and took the advice of the front desk and ordered a delivery from Brown Jug Pizza. We ordered one of their specialty pizzas and a salad. Twice we found bone pieces in the pepperoni or salami… couldn’t tell. The flavor was just okay and the salad was tired and looked like it had been around for a few days. 08.28.15 — The owner of this establishment contacted me for more information to address the issues we had. He was very polite, concerned and was going to take action to make sure things are resolved and remedied. We will stop by and give them another shot next time we’re in Boston.

They make a really good pizza. The price is reasonable. All the appetizers are great. The establishment itself is a nice family friendly sports-viewing venue. I’d give them five stars, but probably ¼ of the time, when getting a pizza delivered, it’s a bit underdone. Not raw, just a bit soggy on the bottom. 4-star pizza. The other ¾ of the time it’s five stars all the way. I really like the mediterranean pizza with the spinach and sun dried tomato. I haven’t ordered a pizza I haven’t liked, though.

I was playing some paintball across the street today, and a friend from Chelsea recommended that I come here. The Brown Jug definitely did not disappoint. We started off with Parmesan garlic French fries, and some buffalo wings. They were both really on point. I got one of their flatbread pizza’s with shrimp, garlic, baby spinach and sundried tomatoes. You can tell that these cooks care about the quality of their work. Our waitress(I believe her name was Courtney) was absolutely amazing. She made sure that we had everything we needs and was super helpful at helping us decide on what we wanted. I will definitely be back the next time I come to Chelsea.

Not the greatest service but cheap &tasty food. They sell 18oz draughts=$ 8 of SamAdams. Something about the tables in the place; not located near the bar keep people away, not sure what it is. I suppose it because its family friendly but all the commotion at the bar should keep kids away. They have darts and are def a sports bar complete with a keno booth to sit in and gamble to your hearts desire.

I can walk to this place so I go fairly frequently.(Responsible drinking!) their drink the Big Z is the most amazing thing ever. I like it better as a mixed drink than a cocktail, but it is sublime. Their pizza is delightful. The Asian salad is also delightful. Calzones are great too. We love their fried green beans too. The veggie wrap is great!!! I do wish that they served soup and pasta. Those are my only requests. A veggie burger would be a nice addition as well. Nice people and nice atmosphere. You can sit at the bar or in booths, and there is a jukebox.
