Twilight Zone Designs is the creation of Tim Anderson, who has been doing furniture restoration for over 30 years. His Cherokee-​based services include chair repair and re-​gluing, stripping, refinishing, parts replacement, color matching, chair caning etc.
Tim also has an artistic side, of which Gayle and I recently discovered and enjoyed at Art on 16^th in Spirit Lake. Gayle immediately zeroed in on a whimsical box made by the purchase was quickly made at a relative bargain. Sheryl was also nice enough to wrap it up for suitcase travel and safe arrival at our Pleasant Hill home in California. It definitely puts a smile on our face whenever we admire it.
There’s more of Tim’s cool wall sculptures, decorative boxes, and furniture on display at Art on 16^th right now. Materials include exotic woods, and veneers, colored lacquers, metals, and found objects. I’m sure that we’ll be back next summer to be tempted by more of this art that seems like a whimsical cross between postmodern and art deco.
