MOODY cashier. Her name is Chelsea. She was very moody to begin with. When I told her that I was a teacher and have my paystub to prove it, she didn’t even look me in the eye and said that she was going to need a photo id. I offered my «photo id» aka driver’s license thinking she wanted proof of id to make sure the paystub info matches my id. She looks at the eye for a moment and made the most distasteful look like I was dumb! I was starting to get annoyed and mentioned how not all schools have photo ids. That is the reason why I have my paystub. She just mumbled, i’ll take it. She didn’t even ring out the 30% on the vest which was on sale. When I told her that the girl Fatima that was helping me on the floor mentioned it, she let out a huge sigh and gave me the discount. WTHHHH. If she had politely mentioned that they couldn’t honor that, I would’ve been FINE. I went in with my mind set on getting the vest. I couldn’t take it anymore and asked her flat out, «what is the problem?» «I don’t appreciate this attitude that you’re giving me. I don’t appreciate this sigh when I mention about the sale.» All she said was, «it’s because it’s the wrong information. The vest is not on sale.» Well? Then just say so? Don’t be moody towards the customer who was given the wrong information!
I walked away with telling her, «J. Crew is supposedly one of the higher end stores, but the service is HORRIBLE.» All she responded with was, «I’m sorry that you feel that way. Have a nice day.»
