Lucky Duck Pet Stuff

This place was great, the owner was very personable and knowledgeable! It was nice to let your dog run about and play with the other animals in the store while you shop. It’s not a petco, but maybe that’s why I liked it. Will definitely be back!

Just checking out my new stomping grounds and though I would check out what the local pet store had to offer. This place is kind of ramshackle, but it has a lot of stuff packed into a little place. The dog food selection was extensive and high quality. A great selection of grooming products, and also a few toys and education aids. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and in fact I found a few products with prices lower than what I paid in the big box store. The owner is certainly a wonderful and friendly lady who has an obvious love of animals. If you are in the Twin Beach area, please stop in with your pet and poke around a bit. It will be well worth the time.

I’m one of those people that like to support local businesses. However, as soon as I walked in, peeee-​yewww! This place smelled like feline ninjas raided the night before and marked this as their territory. I couldn’t wait to get out!

I am in love with Lucky Duck. I decided to check it out after my Yorkie started having medical issues and I was searching for specific brands of dog food that she could have. They have a wide selection of natural and holistic dog & cat foods, treats, toys and grooming supplies. The staff was extremely helpful and spent probably at least an hour reading food labels with me. She also gave me sample packs of foods she thought might work and told me if anything didn’t work out I could return it. Since my dog is a picky eater I’ve returned to the store a few times to try out other brands and exchange things and every time the staff has asked how my dog is doing and has taken the time to suggest other possibilities. Out of curiosity I compared prices at Lucky Duck to some of the holistic foods at Petco in Prince Frederick and for the same pack of dog treats Petco was $ 3 more expensive!!! The location of Lucky Duck is also much more convenient than driving to Crofton or Annapolis and it feels good to support a small local business that excels in customer service and truly cares about the customers.
