Applebee’s

Went to this Applebees the other day with the family. Not much I can say about the food except that it took a little longer than usual and it was as near and pretty as one would normally like. But it was dinner rush so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Service was slow too but again it was busy so I’m not gonna knock them for that. I’ve been a server before and it can get very stressful during during rush.

Place is not bad, Needs a furniture overhaul. This not the Applebee’s I normally frequent.

This trip was terrible. The manager was obviously new and not in control of her staff and her own demeanor.
She was loud and obnoxious as she stood in between the tables in the bar area. Just enjoying her cackling conversations with offduty waiters that were sitting by us.
I do not mind a manager enjoying hanging out with her crew but not enjoying it so much that other paying customers keep looking over and looking at the «party» table with anticipation of her moving on so we could hear the game.
I love Applebee’s but this went entirely too far. Tried to get her name and talk to her but she was too busy joking and eating appetizer samplers too talk to actual customers.
This trip was crazy. Read my reviews I try to find something nice to say so this is rare for me. Disgusted!

The food was great and Alonzo our server was very polite and friendly. My meal was margarita queso chicken & shrimp which is new… hats off to the chef the meal was excellent.

Went here for dessert around 6:40pm. They were not very busy (less than half the tables filled). Only four in our party and hostess told us to give her a minute to find a table but then changed her mind and took us to a table. As we passed all the empty tables there were at least 5 that had not been bussed yet and no one was sitting at them. After we were seated we waited about 3 minutes before our waiter came by, mind you they were not busy. He was nice, took our drink and dessert order and came back quickly with drinks. We ordered one apple chimi cheesecake and one triple chocolate meltdown. The meltdown was overcooked and did not «erupt» as led to believe by the menu description. It was warm but I believe it was heated in microwave which cooked the center too much. The apple chimi cheesecake was ok. Again though, the actual dessert verses what the menu picture and description said were very different. It did not sit on a bed of roasted apples. It sat on a few chunks of cold apples, not even full slices just about 3 chunks. I sent it back and ask the waiter to fix it. He brought out another one and it only had 5 chunks of apple. As I looked at it, the waiter said the manager told him the apples are portioned which is why we only had a few. The manager did not even come over to talk to us as to what the issue was, like they usually would. Needless to say it was very depressing and we had our hopes shot down. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with Applebees. They used to be a nice place to go, having friendly excited to be there staff and good food. Unfortunately their quality has gone downhill. It will be a long while before I return to this Applebeess or any other one.

We were the only two waiting for a seat. Hostess was slow, had to b reminded we were waiting by a trainee. Then after a good 6 to 10 minute wait, seated us at a table with two chairs on one side facing a large group of young men loud talking and generally being rude. I had to leave. Lost my patience.

Even though we do not always get the best service, the managers are on point. They always check on the tables to make sure the food is ok. The kiwi lemonade is delicious. Don’t go late at night, the service is terrible then, but this is a wonderful lunch place!

Just enjoyed the parm sirloin topped with shrimp and garlic mash not bad one of the better steaks i have had from a chain restaurant…

I needed some grub and it was late in the evening. The place was crowded and we didn’t have to wait more than a minute or 2 for a table. I got the Philly Burger and it was awesome. Monica got the sliders and they were good. It was a little loud. The waiter we had was good and checked on us often enough. I’ve had steaks here before that were a little tough — so I try to get other items when stopping in.
