Eagles’ Nest Rockin’ Country Bar

Terrible experience… haven’t been there in years. Met my husband there after work… started out as good experience… ordered crab dip and Jack Daniels burger-​burger was awesome-​crab dip was too cheesy with not much crab meat and too heavy on the Old Bay. Barely finished eating at barside when security came around and took our chairs away… didn’t have a chance to pay tab and after I informed security I would give up my chair after I pay my tab he stood behind me and hovered over me waiting. I felt like the security was over aggressive… however I did notice that outside many people were turned away of different races so I give a thumbs up to their outside security. After the way we were treated be in there, I did not spend another dollar there, and when I mentioned to security that forcing people to leave their chairs at bar side would probably cost them a lot of money… he stated to me that it didn’t matter because the bar would be packed later. That made us feel, as the consumer, that we were pretty much worthless and they didn’t need our business. Perhaps their security could use a little more training in tact. Would not recommend going there unless you’re just looking for the bar scene to have a good time drinking and hooking up! Would give a half star rating if site allowed.

Overall we had a great time here last night. The musical I had a wide variety throughout the evening. The drinks were fairly priced however the bartenders were less than pleasant. The nice young lady in the tenth section called me out for leaving an improper tip. I explained to her if she didn’t break the glass off the top of the bottle she would deserve a better tip. Other than this one encounter the staff was great highly recommended to anyone in the area.

I would not recommend this bar. The patrons near us were drunk and harassing us. Neither the bouncer nor the manager would make them stop, so we left.

Always a fun night at the Eagles nest! One room has country music, a line dancing, and a bull! The next is more rap music. Then outside has pool table, corn hole, and usually a live band. I love going for girls night or couples night. It’s nice because the girls can dance while the guys do play corn hole!

Not my first time going there, but went there for a friend’s bday celebration. The parking lot gets really packed so if you are trying to get there, get there a bit early. There are like 3 different areas of performances. As you first walk in the main entrance, 1) you come across a bar which is near the dance floor for line dancing and country music and a bull ride (I call this the redneck area) lol, 2) there is another dance room next door with a small stage to dance on and fully stocked bar with alot of tvs around (I call this the club room, they have different genres of up to date music, 3) there is an big patio area outside enough for a crowd and a band to play their music.
I got my dance on and drink on that night. I had a great time there with my sister, boyfriend, and friends. Their security are very strict about you dancing ONLY on the dance floor, not the other parts of floor. It’s a good place to go around Chesapeake to have a friend bday celebration, or a ladies night, etc. etc.

Terrible customer service! We waited over 30 minutes for a waitress to come to our table and the place was empty. I will never go back to this place

Was this a Chevy’s in a previous life? Been a minute…
So, what is one to do when you’ve been drinking all day at the beer fest and are not quite ready to call it quits? You skip the nap, hop into the shower and head out again! Using a car service, natch. Then you load up on Red Bull shots and dance the night away at a fun place like Eagles’ Nest! There are three bars to wander between.
The main band was called Buckshot and they were pretty good — at least the backup was solidly good — the lead needed a little help, but he was very enthusiastic and that goes a long way. BUT, there was another band at the back that was a lot more chill and I wish I had bothered to catch the name of their group.
In between these two live stages is a fun dance party floor with DJ music and lots of sweaty sticky people having a glorious time! I managed about 20 min in there before coming out sticky and sweaty myself and longing for some fresh night air, which is where I found that second band and a little quieter space.
I would totally come back for a fun night out with friends, but I don’t think I’d make it a regular spot. This is more club than bar and I just am not into the club thing anymore. Bouncers are on hand because a bad element does exist there and I witnessed a few creepers getting tossed. Glad the bouncers are there for just that purpose, but would much rather chill at a nice hotel bar, or even a local low key dive bar. Not to say that creepers don’t hang out there either!

Of the order! I called and asked for a buffalo chicken SANDWICHES. The girl asked me if I wanted fried or grilled chicken (I said fried). She asked if I wanted ranch or blue cheese (I said ranch). And I told her no onions which she repeated back to me, so she made me feel Comfortable that she got the order correct since she was asking all the right stuff. Just got back home and I have a buffalo chicken WRAP, the chicken is grilled, it has blue cheese (and no ranch), and there is onions on it. Pretty much exact opposite of everything I ordered… come on now!

This place had more bars than I could count! I will definitely go back!

Music and crowd varies and can be good depending on the day and time you go. After a certain time on weekends, the obnoxious crowds start to make their way in. Be careful on the weekends as they jack up their prices on specifics items. For example, when a Long Island iced tea is usually $ 9. They charge $ 15.50 for a small plastic cup. The food could be better as well. Their BBQ that they serve is not great. I had it once and it was just hot dogs, sausages, and some roast. Not worth the money.
Servers are always attentive and do a great job.

My boyfriend and I went a couple of weeks back.
Positive: lots of space, big televisions everywhere,
Negative: Waitress takes your order brings your food and then never comes back (you have to flag one down just to get more service), I was charged regular drink prices during happy hour (wasn’t too happy about that) … Yeah… not going back.

I attended happy hour today with a large group of 30. The waitress was super busy but she was still friendly and quick as possible. The drinks were were on point and the wings were decent. I would definitely recommend this bar for group gatherings and happy hour. Bull riding is offered, but no bull riding operator was available today during happy hour. no complaints…

I came here with a group of about 30 teachers for our End of the Year Celebration. I had called a week ahead of time to reserve seating. I’m not sure why, but we had the bar tender serving us. She had to work a full bar and serve our tables at the same time. That’s hard work! She had two other servers assisting her but she had taken just about all of the orders on her own. She clearly was trying her best to serve everyone but it was a bit overwhelming. I didn’t receive my entire order which I waited an hour for and then had to wait a long while to get my tab. We had hoped to ride the bull but apparently they don’t turn it on until later in the evening.
Well, I had ordered spinach and artichoke dip. It is supposed to be served with toast but they had ran out. Instead, it was served with chips. I wish I had been told that when I placed the order. Otherwise, I would have changed it. I also ordered the veggie stromboli. That never came out. Not sure what happened with that. My boyfriend ordered buffalo wings and fries. I ate most of his fries. He also ordered two drinks. He was pleased with his order and his drinks. My cousin ordered buffalo wings and fries. She was expecting a full basket but got a ½ basket of fries instead. She said her food was tasty and her drink was prepared perfectly.
I heard lots of great things about this place so I do plan on returning in hopes of having a better experience. I also felt welcomed by the manager who was very courteous and ensured that we’d have plenty of space for our group.

FUN Girls Night Out! Not sure where to sit when we walked in, we opted to sit outside. There was an excellent band who played a wonderful mix of country and rock. Our waitress, Emily was super friendly and quite attentive for how busy the evening was. After a couple hours of enjoying our great company, drinks and live entertainment, we ordered up some typical bar food. Fried pickles, fried mushroom and mozzarella sticks. All items arrived HOT, crispy and delicious. The portions were enough to feed 4 – 6 people. Likely the best bar food for the price we’ve had in this area. Prices were reasonable, drinks cold and entertainment was fantastic. We’ll be back for sure!

If your looking to drink and dance this is the place. If you are looking to burn your lips and you butt and everything in-​between try the DOA wings (I had to sign a waver). OMG!
Don’t try to have a real conversation, just let yourself have fun.

We r not use to country music since we r from Southern California but it was a nice experience the customer service was great and the music and vibe was too including the food. And very convenient for us since it’s down the street from our hotel Staybridge suites. We definitely recommend this place.

Headed here on a Friday night to celebrate friends birthday.
I visited here years ago, but it was under a different name. Nevertheless, it still has the same set up. Pretty much three parties under one roof. Huge party place!
There is a country line dance room (with an occasional music switch up), a top 100 music (so it seemed, with a few flashback tunes) dance room and a room where a live band plays (outside) and smoking is allowed.
The vibe here is cool and everyone seems to enjoy themselves. Loud talking, drinks flowing, smoking on the patio, line dancing, mechanical bull riding, finger lickin wings, corn hole, and there’s a coat check. You have 3 full bars and plenty of waitstaff is skimpy clothing.
Seems like a well ran establishment with plenty of parking and security on deck.
The crowd is diverse and seating with tables are available (more than your normal club scene).
I would probably visit again if a party is going on and I’m invited. But I seriously doubt I’ll visit again on my own.
But if you are into the diverse club scene (country bar), I would definitely recommend this place.

I came here the first time the other night to see a favorite local band of mine perform. I had made the mistake by thinking they were playing the new location in the Hilltop section of VB. My fiancé & I decided to come out to Chesapeake anyway for a beer and live music.
The parking lot was packed & I quickly realized this place was more of a dance club/​country bar. There were plenty of different ages/​outfits going on so I didn’t feel too under dressed. We found the outside patio & were lucky to get a raised booth for perfect viewing of the performance.
I’m trying to say this the best way without coming off as a hater of other women or a prude, but the waitresses bare asses walking around in cheeky panties made me straight up uncomfortable. This may have some giving 5 stars for the, ahem view… They all had amazing bodies & nice waitresses I’m sure, but it just didn’t seem like the appropriate place for these uniforms. Especially when a lot of their faces looked miserable. I get that skimpy outfits get better tips, but short shorts & cleavage is a lot better than seeing places the sun don’t shine…
Maybe I’m just getting to old for whatever scene this may be, but it’s not a place I could ever see myself going back to hang with friends/​order food etc.

I’ve been here twice and both times were super fun. The first time was a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. I had just graduated and decided to meet some friends there. I got there at around 9:30 or 10, so I missed Happy Hour. I don’t really care about that too much though, so I went ahead and ordered a Margarita Crunch/​Crush (can’t remember which one it is). It was really good! The waitress got the drink to me pretty quickly.
I’ve never been one to drink and party due to my own insecurities about dancing and looking like an absolute fool, but I felt completely comfortable doing that at Eagles’ Nest. We stayed until they closed at 2 AM (and would’ve stayed longer if they remained open). The next day, my legs were sore and my knees were killing me, but I had an awesome time.
We went back last night (Friday). I arrived between 8 and 8:15 and waited for my friends to get there. I ordered a margarita and pretty much kept to myself until I saw my friends. I was starving so I ordered two slices of cheese pizza for $ 2.50 each. Yum! After that, I danced a little, had three more drinks and danced some more.
What I like about Eagles’ Nest is the fact that they aren’t limited to just country music. I was shocked to see how many people were out on the dance floor doing the «Cupid’s Shuffle» and «The Wobble.» It was awesome. I also like the fact that I can leave and come back without having to worry about a cover charge. I left once to grab my flat shoes just in case I wanted to change out of my wedges, then I left again when I decided I wanted to ditch the wedges altogether and not have to worry about them being under some random table.
The waitresses here are very friendly and professional. At first I was going to pay as I went. I paid for the margarita. Then when I decided I wanted pizza, I started a tab. When I was ready to close out, I found my waitress and told her. I ended up dancing some more and when I returned to the table, my receipt was there. I signed off on it and went to find the waitress to get my debit card. She said she didn’t want to leave it on the table because I wasn’t there. In retrospect I feel kind of bad about that but I am so glad she was thoughtful enough to hold onto it for me.
The crowd is pretty diverse as well. I love that. I will definitely be returning, and I really want to check out their other location.

Recently came here for the first time ever last sunday for a friends birthday party with about 4 other people, It was pretty slow, the larger area with the Bull was not active at all however on a sunday I was not expecting much.
I think it had an open mic night going on, which was pretty good, Some great singers came on stage, and some were not my style but still they have the guts to get up there and sing so congrats to them.
I really want to come back here on a busy night, some of my fiends work here and I have just not been around, I had a burger, it was really good!, great for going along with some drinks.
What i noticed is that the people here seem pretty friendly, esp the patrons :) I will update this review once i go on a busy night,
