Gail’s is a Great Bridge landmark. If you know what you want and what you need, you’re set. Good prices and you get to support small, American owned business. And you get to see her pugs when you visit Gail. What more do you need?

I felt the same way when I started shopping there last year. I think you have to get to know Gail. She is definitely rough around the edges and customer service does not come naturally to her, but I think she cares and really does want to help out. You just have to pull it out of her. Don’t expect to go in there and get the service of a franchised store. The main reason I go in is to support small business owners in the local community.

This shop has a fantastic selection of fishing equipment. I would love to give this place a 4-​star rating; however, the help is almost non-​existent. And when the lady does help, it’s almost as if you’re imposing. She also smokes in the shop, which is a turn off, because you know that there’s probably a film on everything. Great gear, poor environment.

I agree, the woman at the front desk seems like she hates it there but they do have a lot of things I need and the husband is really helpful. It isn’t the best of the best but it has a great selection for saltwater and freshwater needs.

I came to buy a fishing pole, reel, and anything else I needed to get started. The woman at the front (the owner?) directed me toward a few rod/​reels then went back to the desk. No other help or background information. Whenever I asked amateur questions she sounded disapproving. Go to the fantastic Chesapeake Bait & Tackle shop instead!
