Welcome to the «Anti-Gym»! 20 Minutes to Fitness will change the way you look at exercise… forever. We use scientifically based strength-building methods that make it possible to achieve in one weekly 20-minute session what might require three or more hours a week in a traditional gym. You train under the watchful eye of a personal fitness coach on high-end equipment. Depending on your needs, your coach might be a physical therapist, registered nurse, exercise physiologist, kinesiologist or certified fitness professional. He or she will guide you through a total body workout.
Both safe and effective, our workout can be fine-tuned for people of any fitness level, from sedentary teens, to elite athletes, to stay-at-home moms, to time-starved professionals, to 80-year-old grandmas, to recreational golfers and cyclists.
Plus, there are no lines to wait in or memberships to buy. You can even work out in your street clothes if you wish. And all it takes is one 20-minute session a week.
History
Established in 2003.
20 Minutes to Fitness was founded in 2003 after owners Paul & Laura Miller read an article in Newsweek about a slow-cadence weight-training regimen that makes it possible to get fit by working out just 20 minutes a week. That article explained the science behind the «Super Slow» approach to fitness and how it has benefited everyone from professional athletes to breast cancer survivors.
Intrigued by the idea, Paul & Laura made an appointment with the owner of the New York fitness center quoted in the article, who showed them his specialized training equipment and training techniques. They tried it and were hooked.
They brought this specialized fitness regimen to 20 Minutes to Fitness in Clayton, the first studio of its kind in the St. Louis area. A second location later opened in Chesterfield, along with two more in Florida. All offer the private exercise environment, high-end equipment and one-on-one training that make 20 Minutes to Fitness safe and effective for all ages.
