I had a manicure and pedicure at AJ Nails on a Tuesday right before Christmas. The shop was very busy but adequately staffed to handle everyone. I didn’t wait more than two minutes to sit down in a pedicure spa chair. The place is clean and the staff was friendly enough. I am happy with the way my nails and toes look. I felt like the nail technician was very rushed but on the other hand I’m sure they were much busier than usual. It’s a bit more expensive than my usual places… Ladue Nails or Beautiful Nails but perhaps that’s just the going rate in West County? I would go back…

I’m a regular here… and have generally been pleased. The quality of mani pedi sometimes varies with technician, but overall I would say I get average to above average results. Salon is clean and prices about the same as other salons in the area.

Great nail salon. Clean and always fast service. Better than a lot of salons in the area.

Very typical nail salon. Nothing fancy, but looked somewhat clean. I did notice that the nail technicians carry around their own utensils in small metal boxes. I never saw the utensils go into cleaner, but rather just back into their metal box. Hmm Unfortunately, my Gel/Shellac manicure only last a couple days before chipping/peeling. If you a frequent gel manicure patron, then you know they SHOULD last up to two weeks. I went back tonight(less than a week after my first appointment). I was expecting them to fix the problem. Instead, I was shuffled around to three different technicians to re-do my manicure. When I was finished I was SHOCKED when I was charged $ 20 to fix a crummy manicure. I asked the«manager» and she tried to explain she considered it a «polish change». When I started to question the process, the«manager» turned around and ignored me. I will NOT be back. I suggest two of the nail salons in Chesterfield. Much better service for the same price.

My manicure from here looks good but the manicurist was rough and totally unprofessional. She spoke Vietnamese to the other manicurists the ENTIRE time she worked on my nails except when she took a call on her cell phone, which she put on speaker phone and had a conversation in Vietnamese! RUDE. I don’t mind when the nail techs are communicating with each other in the course of working bit when they are laughing loudly and looking at me that is beyond rude and unprofessional. I am pretty sure they were talking about me. There are too many other nail salons with nicer friendlier techs. This is a beautiful and conveniently located salon but they need to get their act together from a service standpoint.

Dissatisfied customer!!! I’m going to agree with the review above crapy salon and service alone, it’s not clean at all customer service«waaaay for improvement«. Will not the back and will not recommend to anybody.

This is the crappiest nail spa I have been to. and I’m writing this review after second dismal service at this place. i only go here because of my proximity to this place. the Vietnamese jibber jabber is not the only thing that will get on your nerves. the girls are always in a hurry to jump to the next customer caring a little about the task they currently are at. last time the girl who gave me manicure was super rude. despite several reminders given to her during the service she did not even care to remove the dead skin off my toes and that’s the only reason I go to a pedicure for. the kind of massage they do is like slopping hand lotion by a 5 year old. this time I got another girl but she was equally pathetic. wanted to rush through the pedicure .for the kind of service they give, 25 bucks is too much for a regular pedicure. i would rather go to ginger bay next door for slightly more prices.

After being hurt and injured at other salons, I always go to AJs. The technicians are friendly and very efficient. I have time to choose my colors and it’s usually very quiet.(Wish they would actually enforce their ‘no cell phone’ policy) they’ve always offered me a cold bottle if water. I’ve brought my young daughter several times and they have cute chairs for them and always offer to add designs to her nails. The best part if a pedicure here is that I’ve noticed that they LAST! They look brand new after a month of sandal wearing.

I love this place! No gross chemical smell like a lot of nail places. It’s very clean and spacious, with comfortable manicure and pedicure stations. No matter where you’re sitting you have a clear view of the TVs, which always seem to be playing HGTV House Hunters when I go on the weekends(which is fine with me!). The ladies who work here are all very friendly, and they do great work. My manicure lasted over a week before chipping(not shellac or gel, just normal polish). They have OPI and Essie, and I think CND too. The basic mani is $ 15, basic pedicure is $ 20. They offered to upgrade, but when I said no that was it– no high pressure upselling. My first trip, I managed to smudge my thumb nail with my car keys on my way out. I walked right back in from the parking lot, and the nail technician was super nice about fixing it for me. I’m moving to U City soon but honestly it’s worth the drive to Town & Country– I’ll be back!

I have been going to AJ Nails for a few years. My experience there has been nothing but an excellent one. Everyone there is so kind and respectful. They offer a wide variety of services and colors. The shop itself is so very clean and neat. That is one thing I look for is cleanliness and they sure do have it .I highly recommend you try this salon if ever you are in Chesterfield. You will be glad you did,

I have been a faithful customer of AJ Nails since they opened. My last appointment was the beginning of July. I received a horrible pedicure. I brought to the attention of the manager/owner when I was there and she walked over and tried to assist to help correct. Late for another appointment I rushed out of there. Once home I realized that all of my nails were trimmed uneven and some to the point of where the tissue connects. I received a cut on my big toe tissue. The polish was lumpy. The gel they put on your feet to polish was put on… but they were not polished. Once I took my flip flops off I noticed loose dead skin that had not been polished off. Upset and have received great service in the past — I called and let them know. I was told that I could receive a free pedi and it would be corrected. I explained that I was unable to come in anytime soon and that I felt my nails would need to grow out. Today I went in to have the pedi redone with a free pedi. The manager/owner said I had waited too long and that I could only receive a polish change. I explained that I had to let my nails grow out before anything could be done. She did not care about the issue and didn’t care that I had been a faithful customer since opening. Shame on them for not having better service. I would not recommend.

I have been going to AJ Nails for over two years now, and I find it to be a great nail salon. They have a great selection of colors and products, and almost always have the latest releases. They offer Gel Nails by several companies, including CND, Shellac and OPI. When OPI changed their Gel and light, AJ Nails had the full line immediately. As for service, it’s usually really good, but on occasion, it’s mediocre. I think when they are slammed, naturally it’s not at the same caliber. I’ve learned when not to go! Their pricing is at par with other salons in the area, but the cleanliness and atmosphere surpass any I’ve visited, and that is SUPER important! I won’t go to a dirty or unhygienic salon! I also love that they routinely put two techs on at the same time, and I get the pedi and the gel nails done simultaneously. I’m in and out in about one hour — it’s great! Overall, I’ve tried dozens of nail salons in West County, and I now go exclusively to AJ Nails, and even drive 20 min to get there, but«I’m worth it!».

AJ Nails is conveniently located in Town and Country Crossing. My first visit here was last Sunday, for a mani/pedi. The hours at this location are generous. In fact, the sign on the door indicated that they were open on Labor Day. Once inside, I found the salon to be bright, spacious, and clean. The selection of Essie and Opi colors appeared to be comprehensive and up-to-date(to wit: the Americana collection, advertised in the September issue of Vogue, was at the front of the salon). This is not always the case, as many salons tend to fob off last season’s colors or, at the very least, are not as current in their displays. By far the best part of the experience was the efficiency of the nail technicians. It was great not to have to shift from station to station, but to be able to sit in the same(massage) chair for both the mani and pedi. The nail technicians were uniformly professional and price points were in line with the level of service provided. I have a black tie event coming up later this month and it is good to know that I have found a nail salon that I can trust to help keep me looking my best.
