I am so grateful for Ashley Alvey. She is talented, professional and accommodating. Ashley is everything I’ve been looking for in a stylist.

This is review has been a long time coming. I just recently moved to STL from California and I was in desperate need to find someone to take care of my hair. I made an appointment with Erica and I am so happy I did! Erica was very patient and listen to what I wanted for color and also gave me her input on a new technique I didn’t even know about. My hair came out amazing from the color, cut, and finish I walked out feeling so confident and beautiful! She will definitely be my forever stylist. If you are looking for a quality hair stylist make an appointment with Erica she really is the best around!

Tammy Redding is an amazing stylist! I have been a client of hers for about 8 years and I will NEVER trust anyone else with my hair! She always has the best suggestions for a cut and color and the result is simply amazing. She is great company and I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful she is as my stylist! I recommend you make an appointment with Tammy ASAP– you will not be disappointed!

Erica is an amazing stylist with a great personality she always knows exactly what colour and cut to suggest and knows how to deliver! I’ll never trust my hair with anyone but her !!! The best get ur hair done with Erica u won’t be disappointed :))

I have had long hair that was always pulled back into a ponytail for about 20 years, so when I decided to chop it all off for a MUCH shorter style you could say I was a little nervous. My stylist was Erica M. and from the start she was so professional and made me feel a lot less nervous about getting my 12 inches of hair cut off. She did an AMAZING job on my cut & style and took the time to help me with some styling tips that I could do at home. She is so friendly, personable, & listens to you and what you want. So happy Erica was my stylist and now found my permanent stylist!

As someone who has wore her hair long for 28 years I wanted to find someone special to cut my hair from long to short. Erica takes her time to understand what you want in a cut and who you are as a person in regards to management. She takes into consideration your natural color tone, shape of your face and over style. I cannot be more happy with my hair cut but even more delighted with my color (she used a gorgeous technique called bayalage) She is phenomenal with color. I have referred a number of my friends and they are all VERY happy. In addition, the time spent in enjoyable as Erica is personable, friendly and very easy to talk to. Overall wonderful experience and I’m happy to say I’ve found my stylist.

Awesome salon in Boones Crossing! I found Brianne a few years ago and will NEVER change stylist. The color & cuts I receive are always of the highest quality. Brianne always has fresh ideas and fun conversation. I schedule everything around my hair appointment — as a working professional — image is important and Brianne keeps my hair current & healthy.
The entire staff is courteous & conscientious! Love this place!

Very friendly and knowledgable staff. I just arrived in St. Louis and was a walk in customer. They went out of their way to locate a stylist and make sure I was taken care of. The salon is a modern space with beautiful accommodations. I received my hair cut from Courtney Fowler. She was great to work with and helpful. She is easy to talk with and a delightful person. I’d recommend this salon to anyone. You can tell the owners and the staff are all first class. They really are true professionals and passionate about their profession.

5 Stars for Kelley and everyone at Dominic Michael in Chesterfield!!! I just moved to Missouri from Cali and was super scared to try a new salon, but I had nothing to worry about here. Everyone was super sweet and warm and welcoming from the minute I stepped in the door. The sweet gal at the desk (sorry I’m so bad with names, I promise I’ll remember it next time), made me a perfectly yummy cup of hot tea and then Kelley greeted me right away. She gave me a tour of the salon and explained how the process works. They have a «color bar» where they apply and process color, and then a brightly lit salon station/​chair where she would cut and style my hair. It was so nice and comforting. Kelley is super talented. I asked for a change in my color and highlights as well as a change in my hair style and she didn’t even blink. She asked lots of great questions and made it a collaborative effort. She was AWESOME. The end result was nothing short of fabulous. I’m so happy and thrilled with my new look. Just what I needed to go with my new home town :) Plus Kelley is really cool and easy to talk with — the time flew by and I can’t wait to go back!
They also run lots of great promotions that really make spending the money worth it. Since I booked my next visit with Kelley before I left, my next visit will be 20% off. Plus lots more that I cannot remember at the moment, but it all sounded brilliant. I like that they have creative thought going on not just with the stylists, but with the business as well — very impressed.
Anyway, I highly recommend Kelley and Dominic Michael in Chesterfield without any hesitation at all.

I have seen Tammy for my hair for the past four years and was always very happy with her skill set as a hair stylist. She listens and is able to do what the customer envisions. So sad I am moving away and have to find a new salon.

I went to Dominic Michael for the first time last month. I needed my hair colored before a wedding and although I made the appointment last minute and there wasn’t really time on the schedule, Erica came in early one day to help me out. She is a life saver and a very talented girl! The consultation before we got started was very helpful. Erica was very good at communicating all my options and really tried to understand what is was I wanted before she even started. To me, this is very important because so many stylists I’ve been to in the past think they know what you want and get started without asking questions. Everyone at the salon was super friendly and when I left, I got a gift bad with coupons and samples! I already have my next appointment set up with Erica! Way to go Dominic!

I’ve had great experiences here since I moved to St. Louis 3 years ago but my last cut was in the evening and I felt it was very rushed and I was not very satisfied with my cut. I have a lot of hair and I had asked to have my layers cut to thin the middle of my hair and very little of that got done. I felt it was not worth my money like all my past cuts had been.

For the longest time I have searched for a stylist who listens to what I have imagined for my hair. I am the type who constantly changes my hair color and always wants something different. My stylist Ashley has been the only one who I have found to give me her honest opinion but still give me what I want. She always seems to take my vision and make it come true… or even better! I have been going to Ashley for a solid 5 years now and will never switch stylists again. She must be one of the favorites at this salon because she books up fast but she ALWAYS finds a way to fit me in!
Also…I am the type who used to buy the cheapest hair products out there. I decided to listen to Ashley’s advice one day and give the products they carry a try. They have everything you need for your hair at Dominic Michael AND it is affordable. Let me tell you… after trying Ashley’s recommendations I will never buy hair product from Target again. Not even the hair spray!
If you want to try out Dominic Michael Salon in Chesterfield, go! And ask for Ashley! Although I live in Saint Peters, she is well worth the trip to Chesterfield!

Finally!!! I’ve been searching for a great stylist since I returned from LA a year and a half ago. I found one-​Erica actually listened to me and then made it happen! Ask for her and make an appt. She does a great job on my gals hair too… which is who referred me;)

I just moved to St. Louis, and naturally my number one concern was finding a new, trustworthy hair stylist. I’m a review hound, so after reading many positive reviews online, I decided to book an appointment at Dominic Michael’s.
Tammy is my hair genie. She’s a wizard. I got one of my best cuts and colors with her last time I had an appointment. Plus she has a pet pig, which is legit.
Erica cut and colored my hair one time also, and did it exactly how I asked and envisioned. I have a really funky red and blonde combo hair color, and it is rare that a stylist nails it on the head.
All of the girls at the salon were very friendly and entertaining, and I recommended the salon to two girlfriends who also recently moved down here. Definitely my salon now!

I have been a client of Keri’s at Dominic Michael Salon for over 2 years now, and I am thoroughly impressed! I would highly recommend Keri. She is an excellent stylist and really takes her time with each of her clients to be certain they are nothing but pleased with the end result. She has told me before that we’re not finished until I say that I love ma hair! I have been one of Keri’s clients almost 3 years now and would recommend her to anyone who is in need of a patient and attentive stylist. The first time Keri colored and cut my hair she was with me for four hours. If there was something I wanted her to do she took the time to discuss exactly what I wanted with me before doing it. I can honestly say I am to the point now where when I go see her at DM, I can tell her «Do what you want!» because I am 100% positive that I going to LOVE it! Go see Keri. I promise you will love the end result.

I have been going to Courtney, a Level 1 stylist at the DM Salon in Chesterfield for over a year now. I always look forward to my appointment with her because she does an amazing job with my hair. My hair is very long, it reaches down to the middle of my back, very flat, and I have at least 2 cowlicks in the front where my side-​bangs are. I have never been happy with a cut until I started seeing Courtney. My hair looked full, soft, and my bangs actually cooperated the entire day (which never happens). I always loved going home to show my fiancé my hair because he loves how it looks after Courtney has worked her magic.
Courtney not only does a great job cutting and styling my hair, she is so fun to talk to. She is friendly and open, and she has a great personality. Since I have so much hair, my appointments often last over 1 hr and 30 min, and she makes the time fly.
Because I was so happy with Courtney, I dragged my fiancé to an appointment. He was always the Sport Clips kind of guy, until he met my Courtney. He is a changed man, and will probably never trust anyone else to cut his hair again.
My fiancé and I recently moved back to Chicago, and we are already missing Courtney. I am panicking about having to find a new stylist for both of us, especially because I will be getting married in a little over a year, and I don’t think I will find anyone as good as Courtney to do my wedding hair. I guess I will just have to fly to Chesterfield every couple months for hair cuts, and fly her to Chicago for my wedding. :-)

While visiting my family during the holidays, I decided to get my hair done and made an appointment at Dominic Michael based upon its solid reputation. In September, my hair had been dyed too dark at a neighborhood salon in Boston. I made an appointment to DM just for a much-​needed trim and that melting/​ombré color effect.
I was given an appointment with Keri, who is one of their newer stylists. Keri was absolutely amazing. She’s super-​energetic and really loves her job. We ended up needing to strip my hair as the girl who had done it before had dyed it almost black. We had to strip it TWICE. The farthest we could go was a red shade (I do not have red hair) and at first I was scared, but I trusted her. She then put a more appropriate dark brown shade on top and toned the rest of it. Its awesome how the color blends — especially since I was the first client she had done this sort of style on. My mother was actually shocked she achieved such a look without those pesky, time-​consuming foils.
Keri spent 5.5 hours on me. I couldn’t be more happy with my hair and cannot remember the last time I was so pleased with it. I was also worried I would be spending A LOT of money, but was more than pleasantly surprised when I got the check. I wish I could take Keri with me to Boston, but I’ll just have to go back when I visit my parents again.
Since it was a new color for me, she told me to come back during her next shift if I thought it was «too red» and she would just throw toner on it. (It was a bit of a change.) By then I was more comfortable with it and just needed her to trim off another inch because the stripping can dry it out and it was after going home I realized I had about an inch that could still go. She happily took care of me, even offering to wash and dry it again, even though she was scheduled to leave a half an hour later. I told her it was not necessary, but I thought it was sweet she asked.
If you want to try DM in Chesterfield, do it. And ask for Keri!
