My preference for non-chain restaurants and my wife’s love for pizza has lead me to order from and/or visit Maglio’s several times, any my general assessment is that they do some things really well… others, not so much. In terms of what they do well, their Garlic Knot Pizza(16″ for $ 17.95 + $ 2 each topping) is awesome! It is essentially a NY style pizza with Garlic Knots surrounding the rim of the pie where the crust normally is. And they aren’t skimpy with the garlic, and it’s fresh minced and there is plenty of it! As pizzas go, this one is a little pricey(particularly if you want several toppings), but this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend! In the«not so much» category, I have been woefully unimpressed with their subs. I’ve tried the Chicken Cheesesteak and it was surprisingly bland, despite the accompanying onions, peppers, and mushrooms. The Chicken Parm was equally disappointing, essentially frozen chicken tenders and spaghetti sauce. The fries that I ordered with each were also sad; mushy and flavorless. They really should find a different way to package them for delivery that doesn’t force the condensation from the heat to turn the fries into mashed potatoes. I’ve heard good things about their pasta dinners, so I will likely give those a try at some point. My best advice is to give the Garlic Knot Pizza a shot, it’s legit; but if you want subs, go to Gino’s at Woodlake.

If there were half stars I would say 4.5 stars. The one issue I had was the portion of eggplant in the eggplant par dinner with penne. I would have like more and less pasta. But, it was great. I didn’t have the pizza yet but I am dying to. I need to find that real great NY pizza place. I did have a calzone because I was craving one forever. It was a huge portion and so good. The dinner was great too. You get a side salad and bread with the dinner. And I really like the sauce that they have.

The pizza is solid and the employees are super nice. I’m from Philly and its the kind of pizza I am used to. The slices are pretty big and I should probably only buy one but I usually get two. You should give this place a try especially since I have not been able to find anything better in the area.

We ordered delivery from Maglio’s last night and were really impressed. They have a good online menu, the delivery was fast, and the food was really, really good. The Antipasto Salad was fresh and delicious and had a great balance of meat, cheese, olives and pickled vegetables. The pizza was really good as well. I reheated it in the oven because it was not as crispy as I like after being delivered, but it had a good balance of toppings to crust and was very yummy. I do believe Maglio’s is our new«go to» pizza delivery place!

We have not tried the sandwiches yet, but the pizza was GREAT! I love that you can buy it by the slice for my picky eaters, and then my husband and I can have a pizza with the good stuff!

I’m not sure why they are rated in the 3’s. The pizzas are made with homemade dough, fresh ingredients and reasonable prices. The salads are fresh and large and the service is provided by or supervised by owners who have everything on the line to ensure a great visit.

Great food, reasonably priced! The family loves it! Been there three times and it’s always amazing! We asked them to make us a bbq chicken pizza with their garlic knots crust… this is something not typically made by them or offered on the menu. Shortly after we got our dinner the OWNER called us to follow up and see if it turned out well since it’s not a usual request! Absolutely awesome service after the sale!

I would really like to give Zero Stars. On a Saturday evening I ordered an eggplant parm sandwich to go it was 7.95 when I got home there was Half a slice of eggplant on each side with Maybe the amount of a quarter of sauce on the bread, you claim to be from NY I don’t think so cause this Jersey Girl has Never seen a sub like this !!! Shame Shame Shame on You

While they were very nice and helpful, the food was awful. I got Shrimp Parmesan. The shrimp was incredibly overcooked and didn’t taste like shrimp. My wife got Chicken Parmesan. That was also way overcooked and dry. The breading on both were way too thick. I would have ordered a slice, but all the pizzas looked a bit old. I’d much rather spend 30 minutes on the road and hit Mary Angela’s in Carytown for a fresh pizza.

I was a little nervous to try this place because of other reviews but my sister said she loves the pizza, so I have it a shot. My daughter and I went in to place a carry out order. The restaurant was very clean, employees were all very friendly and the food was great. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of veggie with a side garden salad. My daughter ordered the kids spaghetti with meatballs. My pizza was actually really good with a thin crispy crust and just enough sauce. The veggie was my favorite and LOADED with eggplant, olives, broccoli, and onions. As I looked at the other pizzas behind the counter, they were all packed with toppings. No skimping at all. My side garden salad was great with olives and a good dressing. My daughters spaghetti was a huge portion for the price with 4 really large meatballs. She loved it. I deducted a star because although our food was great our wait time seemed a little out of the ordinary. A side salad, kids spaghetti, and 2 slices of pizza that just needed to be reheated took about 30 minutes!

Love this pizza, grew up in NY and just moved to the area. Fantastic foldable slices! Perfect takeout for the family. Have not tried rest of their menu… pizza is legit!

I was very disappointed by this«NY style“pizza. I just came back from visiting my home town in N.Y. and this pizza is nothing like anything that cam be found there. The only similarities are the thin crust and that it is reheated from already made pies. The pizza seriously lacks flavor, I mean no garlic or spices are even remotely present. It’s quite over priced for what you get, even with the groupon i felt as if I’d been ripped off. Smh, quite disappointing. The restaurant was neat and clean though

I found this place through Unilocal and read the reviews and decided to give them a chance. The food was pretty good but my favorite were the garlic knots and the toasted ravioli. The pizza had a great taste and I love the NY style. I think I would have to dine in to get a better taste for the pizza. Delivery can have it alightly cold. NY style pizza is better jot.

I’m surprised by the lower ratings. My wife and I stopped on memorial day for an early dinner. The staff was very friendly, and you can’t beat the price. The pizza slices we got(meat lovers, pepperoni, veggie) were very good, and the crust was excellent. However the best part, believe it or not, was the garden salad. We both got a small, and its a good thing as its a plateful. Typical lettuce, tomato, onion, etc, but they also threw on black and green olives, feta cheese and pepperoncini. It was very good. As others have said, the NY experience is choosing a slice and letting them reheat it. But we liked it well enough that well try a whole one for carryout soon.

On a late evening pizza run this spot hit the spot. The pizza was warmed to heated and crispy pizza perfection. It was definitely not made to order, but how many pizza places are. I would go back if I want a pop in pizza spot on the southside.

A nice family owned pizza that still seems to be working out how to run things. When they get busy, they get very confused and the service suffers a bit. The food is good. They are our choice for pizza delivery at this time. The owners are really great and attentive so I believe they have will get the service end together in no time. Regarding reviewers that don’t understand thin pizza or pies under glass, that is how it is done in pizza places up north. That is how you get pizza by the slice. Thin crust is NY style pizza.

Every single time I go this place is absolutely delicious, Im not sure what these other reviewer were eating? As far as grease… Im not sure you guys understand how cooking works? You take pepperoni(A high in fat sausage) and more than likely whole fat mozzarella and heat it… what do you expect to happen? Bottom line. This is NEWYORK style pizza. if you prefer the crap you have been eating down here than just go to pizza hut and leave the true pizza lovers alone.

The pizza is not gourmet pizza but for $ 5.50 you can get two slices of cheese pizza and a drink… not a bad deal. The taste and price were not bad and I easily split the combo with my daughter and there was plenty of food plus we added 2 garlic knots for $ 1. The restaurant is new so it is clean. We will return again for the combo deal!

This is my first time going to Maglios Pizza and honestly i was expecting a whole different experience. This is a place you walk in and the pizza is already made and sitting behind the window and you pick what slices you would like and they heat it up. Much like a mall pizza place. The pizza… First off if you have to plot the pizza with a napkin to take the grease off that’s a sign. Like I said I WANT to like this place. But unfortunately the pizza does not live up to the price and expectation of a pizzeria. This is more like a pizza place you would find off of a board walk in Ocean City MD. You order and get a number. Nothing is on the table when you sit down so you need to get everything for yourself. It also took 4 workers 20 minutes to make a pepperoni pizza I don’t understand what took so long. Yes the tables and booths are nice but the food does not live up. I wish the pizza had more flavors and came on real plates instead of Paper plates. This is a great pizza place for high school students. Which is why the location works being right down the street from Cosby. This pizza place is more like a pizza assembly line and the kids running it could be more friendly. The pizza I have had in New York is not like this. I was majorly Disappointed by Maglios Pizza that’s why I rated 1 star. I will NOT be returning
