Polo Factory Store

We came here on a quest for a sport coat for my hubby and along the way we found a leather jacket that fit him perfectly. It was missing its tags (even the sewn in ones with the Ralph Lauren label) and a button was falling off, so we figured it might be an item ripe for a bargain. We tried desperately to find someone in the department who could help out with pricing, but there was simply nobody around, so my hubby took the jacket to the register to ask. The employee at the register quoted a price that was a few cents south of 200 bucks. My hubby made sure he was aware that the item was damaged and would require repair, therefore should be marked down. The employee didn’t even bother to check in with management, just reinforced the previous price he quoted. Ok, fine. I’ll bet that item will sit on the same hanger on the same rack for months since no one will know the size, the price and they’ll immediately notice the loose button. We would have taken it off their hands for a reduced price and taken it to get repaired, but they lost out on the opportunity and lost out on future business by being completely unhelpful during our visit. I’m pretty sure this was a lose-​lose for the store and for us.

Steve is right. This is a cool store. Great deals. Get on their customer list, and they’ll send coupons in the mail and via email. Staff are always friendly … even with lots of customers clamoring for assistance and bargains.

They’ve got my number. It may not be my phone number, but they’ve got it. They know my e-​mail address and my snail mail address and they keep those coupons a coming. Being a regular shopper can be dangerous, but it also has its benefits.
The selection here is vast, varied and constantly changing. The staff is friendly and willing to help. However, a Polo shopaholic like me can do more damage alone, then when I’m assisted by a professional sales associate. Hell, I was wearing Polo long before some of these associates were even born.
As I said before, be smart shopping any outlet. Know your product and know the normal pricing structure. A few items here I have purchased at Macy’s clearance rack or on sale at a lower price. Shop smart and look good.

So… If you know Ralph Laren stuff you can shop here with confidence and get some good deals. Expect to pay 20% off Macy’s prices with 10% of the store even lower. Worth the drive!
