Dr. Freyne received his undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biology from Georgetown University. He then attended the New Jersey Dental School where he received his degree as Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). After completing an externship at the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey he continued his training at a General Practice Residency at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey.

Dr. Freyne is a life-long student of dental medicine and believes it is imperative to stay abreast of advances in dental technology and clinical practice. He has completed advanced training in implant prosthetics as well as advanced comprehensive patient care at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. He is also a certified provider of InvisAlign therapy.

Dr. Freyne is a member of the American Dental Association, District of Columbia Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and New Jersey Dental Association.

Dr. Freyne is as good as there can possibly be. I cracked a tooth and he was able to fit me in immediately. I normally dread the dentist, but he makes you feel comfortable and at ease. He fixed the tooth, put in a new filling and made everything look perfect-you couldn’t even tell it wasn’t just the tooth. Beyond a fantastic dentist!

I’ll admit to putting off going to the dentist for over 4 years, so I was a bit nervous before my appointment, but all of that went away once I began my visit.
Everyone in Dr. Freyne’s office is so incredible! From Natasha up front, to his assistant Faye, and especially Dr. Freyne — they all totally eased my nerves and made the entire experience as pleasant as a dentist visit could be — if not more! Dr. Freyne is so kind and knowledgeable, and you can tell he truly loves his job and cares about his patients. He even does the cleanings himself! I’ve never had a dentist do that before, and it really made such a difference! My teeth feel so amazing.
The office environment is very welcoming and clean. They use the most updated and modern technology that makes yearly cleanings much easier. And the view from the exam chairs is so beautiful too!
His wife, Cindy, now also offers various skin care services in the office — and she is amazing! Her facials and microderm services are my favorite in the area, and so reasonably priced for the city! Plus my eyebrows always look fantastic thanks to her amazing waxes. Cindy is so friendly and is absolutely an expert in her field. I’d recommend setting up a consult to see her too, your skin will thank you for it!
I definitely won’t be as nervous for my next yearly cleaning thanks to this awesome staff. If you’re like me and always make excuses to skip the dentist, do yourself a favor and make an appointment to see Dr. Freyne ASAP. I used to hate going to the dentist, even as an adult, but I’m so glad I found this office.

If Dr. Freyne takes your insurance, then you must go here. His office is convenient by either car (parking garage underneath the building) or by metro (short walk from the red line). It’s a lovely office – clean, well-decorated, and when you’re having your teeth looked at, you sit in front of a big window overlooking trees and scenery and passing planes. Enough about the aesthetics – the important thing is that Dr. Freyne is awesome. Such a nice guy, so personable, he asks how you’re doing and remembers details the next time you see him. He’s very patient and explains everything before he does it, and if you have a dental problem or question he carefully listens to you before helping you find the best solution possible. His staff is very nice too. Even if you’re afraid of dentist work, there’s no better place to go then here!

I’ve been going to Dr. Freyne since 2007. He’s located in Chevy Chase at 5530, his office is beautiful but rarely get to experience it because the wait time is rarely over ten minutes. The staff, Natasha and Faye, are always friendly and professional. Dr. Freyne does all the cleaning, in my past experience the hygienist did most of the cleaning and the dentist reviewed the work and did the end work. Here at Dr. Freyne’s he does all the work and uses all the most up to date equipment. I love walking in to the cleaning area and everything is clean and sanitary (I’ve been to places and questions the sanitation). Dr. Freyne give me a good experience every time and I’m usually terrified to go to the dentist but it’s always a calm experience for me. One of the perks is the great view you have looking out the window. There is a parking garage you can park at but because it’s Chevy Chase it’s high priced, take my advice and park across the street at Saks Fifth Avenue you can validate your ticket, get a free hour. I work in downtown Bethesda so I usually head in before work since they see patient’s early.

Couldn’t be any happier with Dr. Freyne. Super staff all the way around. Easy to make an appointment and was attended to promptly.
Dr. Freyne certainly knows his stuff and he uses all state of the art equipment. The difference between him and an average dentist is night and day. After having so many problems with my old dentist, it was great to find him, and he had no problems giving me a second opinion, and correcting the problems created by my previous DDS.
Highly recommended in my book!

Ronan is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. His staff is great, offices are clean, utilizes the most recent technology, and he takes the time to sit with you and explain exactly what is happening to your teeth until all of your questions are answered. His is the first cleaning I’ve had that doesn’t feel uncomfortable. In fact, after every cleaning, I feel as though my gums have been massaged and my teeth are as good as new. I don’t know how he does it, but he’s consistent, and I’ve stopped dreading the dentist since I started going to him.

Dr. Ronan is at 5530 Wisconsin Ave in Chevy Chase now. Not far from the Friendship Heights Metro. I recently moved to the area and went to him because he’s close to my office. He and his staff were professional and friendly. He did the cleaning himself and did a great job, about as painless and comfortable as you can get with a cleaning. Making an appointment was easy, as well. Definitely not dreading my check-up in 6 months.
