Stayed here one night. Normally I would rate this 3 stars, but because it was super clean, it gets a bonus star. It’s an old roadside motel, the cinderblock walls have been covered in vinyl siding and there are fairly new windows. It was obviously very recently spruced up, the walls are freshly painted, the carpets are new, and there are some cute benches outside. Linens are totally fine, nothing fancy. The bathrooms are in need of an update, but again … really clean, so I can’t complain. Walls are thin, the normal extras aren’t there(BYO shampoo and hair dryer), but for the price, it’s a good stay. I wouldn’t bring small children here if I could help it, as it’s on a very busy street(hwy 395) and there isn’t a play area, so they would be out in the parking lot. Free wifi, small coffeemaker, fridge and microwave in the room. A good overnight stay.

This place has new owners. it’s now called The Chewelah Motel and RV Park, the place has been renovated and its under NEW Management all amenities have been updated such as all new beds, 42 inch flat screen TV ‘s, cable, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee stations, WI fi, fresh paint and brand new carpeting. Even the exterior of the buildings have been updated. The place is meticulously clean and the managers are friendly and invite you to choose to stay with them.

The folks that run this place are very nice but the rooms are pretty rough… I’m trying to think of a word that is the opposite of cozy. The Nordlig on the other end of town is much nicer.
