Lived here in the neighborhood for two years and the staff has changed more than traffic lights at this location. Never had a problem until tonight. The Hispanic male worker verbally assaulted me in front of other customers. He asked me what was wrong after a woman had pushed past me aggressively. I tried to tell him but he interrupted me and berated me in front of other customers. He didn’t witness the woman actions and automatically assumed I was to blame. Funny how there’s no diversity at that location… its fine. I’ll spend money elsewhere. Guess I’m too dark to receive decent customer service. Let’s see if corporate actually assesses the situation and let’s the employee know to remain professional in all matters and situations.

I encountered a very rude employee there. Since he had no name tag on I can only describe him as possibly being African American in his mid to late 20’s. I could be wrong as he may be Hispanic. He yelled at me because I asked for half and half for the cream dispenser. He brought out that same creamer that is already sitting on the counter of the coffee station. I don’t trust any creamer that does not require refrigeration. He the got angry with me because I didn’t want it and told me why did I even asked for half and half if I not going to use it. When I tried to explain it to him, he signed off. When I tried calling the store to speak with a manager only 10 minutes after leaving, he answered the phone and told me there was no manager there and hung up. Also, the donut I purchased was stale beyond belief. Needless to say that I am not going there again, if I can avoid it, and recommend my friend, coworkers and client to not shop there. Just horrible customer service.

Horrible customer service. They told me I could return for another money order when I did the lady was so rude and said I couldn’t get any more because I had exceeded my limit. I asked if I could return the next day and she said no. I am attempting to put a deposit down for an apartment and am from another state. Way to be awesome Chicago!

This is your fairly average 7-Eleven. If you’re in a pinch and need to pick something up, but don’t have time to run to a larger convenience store or the grocery store, it will do, but you’ll pay a bit more for it. This location is kept clean, has friendly staff, and convenient hours. It’s a stone’s throw from UIC and Rush hospitals as well as the Polk Pink Line stop, and is nestled at the end of all of the Taylor Street bars and restaurants. There’s a small lot nearby, as well as plenty of metered parking on the street.

I like this 7-Eleven. Good to pick up snacks, play lotto, hit the ATM. They also have a nice selection of Grab & Go items including sandwiches, several different kinds of fresh salads(including Greek salads, chicken salads), fresh fruit, etc. I have a 7-Eleven by me and they don’t carry as many fresh items as this one. Also, the staff is much friendlier at this location that my local one. Sometimes the restaurants on Taylor are so full that it’s easier to grab a salad from 7-Eleven and head back to the office.

Just fine — the usual 7 Eleven options. The closest option to purchase lottery tickets in our neighborhood.

The 7-Eleven on Taylor is open better hours than most other businesses in the area«(ie early and late) and they carry several decent craft beer six packs along with gatorade and all the standards. I usually grab some fresh fruit to go along with my donut and coffee in the am hours. The employees are always friendly and I like that they take customers before lotto bums. If you are not aware that dropping half of your paycheck on Lotto is why you are broke, take this as the first notice. This 7 – 11 is key for the area lacking late night convenience options.
