A&R Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

I called A&R on the recommendation of my neighbor, who said she was charged $ 25 a room and the cleaners did a good job. The carpet was cleaned and then the two workers insisted on cleaning 2 area rugs that were sitting under a couch on my hardwood floor in the same room. The couch had been moved from the carpet for the cleaning the night before. But when the carpet cleaners moved the couch back to to the carpet to clean the area rugs, they scratched my hardwood floor.
I was impressed with the overall carpet cleaning, but noticed an area of the carpet that still looked a little dirty and asked one of the cleaners what could be done about the soiled area. I also pointed out the scratches on the hardwood and told one of the cleaners that my floor had been scratched when the couch was moved.
Regarding the stained carpet, one of the cleaners sprayed a rag and wiped over the area, showed me the rag and said the carpet was clean. He said that what appeared to be dirt was just a shadow falling on the carpet.
Regarding the hardwood scratches, I was told the scratches weren’t that bad and could be easily touched up. There was no offer to compensate me for the floor scratches or to repair them.
I was charged $ 65. I told the cleaner my neighbor said he only charged her $ 25 a room. He replied that the charge was $ 65 and there was a 2-​room minimum, which is why he cleaned my area rugs to make up the difference. He said he charged $ 25 for each room after the 2-​room minimum. No one mentioned a 2-​room minimum when I made my appointment. I know I should have asked about the carpet cleaning charge before they came out.
I have noticed in the two weeks since the carpet was cleaned that stains I thought the cleaners got out have reappeared since the carpet has dried. I called A&R; the man answering the phone said he remembered me after I gave my address. He said he would check his schedule and call me back that day to see when he could touch up the carpet when he was in my area. That was yesterday. He has not called back.
