In the 6 years since my last review, I’ve had another 5+ pieces framed at Accentric Custom Framing. As always, Yoko did an amazing job — not only is her work meticulous, but she gave me great suggestions about which frames and mats worked best with my artwork. I’ll only have my art framed by Yoko/Accentric.

I can’t believe someone complained about Yoko’s service or even worse her dog! Yoko has always been very helpful and honest. She’s an independent business person without a corporate mandate to hit certain sales goals or push cheaper frames. You can trust her advice and I for one appreciate her low key style. And her dog is great too. Give her a shot; she knows her frames.

Really happy with my new picture. I was torn because I previously used Webster Street Picture Frame Co., which is REALLY affordable, but didn’t have the most exciting frame selection. Yoko was very sweet and what we put together turned out beautifully. It was more expensive than Webster, but used a Unilocal deal and I thought the final product was worth it.

They were very friendly, helpful with the design and the final product looked great. Price wasn’t cheap, but framing never is. Would definitely use again.

The lady who helped us was very friendly but she didn’t seem like a salesperson. We saw a frame for our oil painting exactly the same as in another shop that we liked and provided the quote we got. And her quote came out to be twice as much.

You won’t find better service or framing options elsewhere in Chicago.

Ask a frame during holiday season for a birthday. Told me two weeks time and manage to get it done the same week before the birthday. Fan looks pretty good and service is astonishing Bravo

My first experience with them was through a Unilocal deal. They were very nice and friendly and most importantly did amazing work. Yoko walked me through the selection process and helped me choose the best frames for my artwork. It was a bit out of the way for me taking the trains, but a place I would recommend. Frames are very expensive so the Unilocal deal came in handy.

I received good service and I love my new framed poster. I used the Unilocal discount and it was worth it. I had no idea framing was so expensive.

Awesome job. Helped guide me towards a better coordinating frame than I was leaning towards initially, and it turned out great. Expensive, but what frame job isn’t?

Yoko was awesome helping me choose the frame, matting and layout of my framing project. She also was willing to work with me on getting the framing done by my deadline. The day it was due, there was a problem, they fixed it and were willing to stay at the store until I got there because I needed it that night. Next framing project I will definitely be going back to Accentric.

I used my Unilocal deal here to get two pictures framed. Yoko helped me pick out frames that I probably wouldn’t have chosen on my own, let alone at a mass place like Michaels. She quoted me about 2 weeks time to finish it and that’s how long it took. Note that the store isn’t open on Sundays or Mondays so if you need a quick turnaround, take that into consideration. I haven’t had other pictures framed like this before so I can’t necessarily compare price or quality with the work done by Yoko but I’m pleased with how they turned out. For those of you who aren’t dog lovers her sizeable dog Smokey sometimes hangs out on the weekends.

Yoko did a great job of framing 3 pictures that I picked up from Bucktown Arts Festival. She did it at a very reasonable price which was made even better when I got the Unilocal discount. If you have prints, pictures, or anything that needs to be framed — go here.

Very happy with the work Yoko did on the print I brought in. She was friendly and very helpful in finding a frame that worked well and walked me through the various framing options and corresponding prices. The framed piece looks excellent, and feels like something that was put together with care. It was also packaged very nicely for pickup and transport. I would definitely return to Accentric. Although it isn’t the fastest place to get something framed(although I didn’t have time constraints), I believe the quality is very good and it’s nice knowing that the same person helps you select a frame and also frames your art. Pricing was completely reasonable

I purchased the Unilocal deal and it was a great value. This store has a plethora of frames to choose from and Yoko is extremely helpful in helping you pick out the best frame and mat for your art at the pricepoint that you desire. She has helped us twice now with custom art and it has always turned out just lovely and the process was quick and easy. I would definitely return to frame other art in the future and recommend their shop to anybody with custom framing needs.

I took two pieces to get done, and the experience was great. Yoko the store owner was patient and worked with me in my budget. She made good suggestions and the final products were extremely well done. That said, the price for two pieces(27“x40″ in metal and one a little smaller in wood) were about $ 335. Not thrilled about the price, but I know the quality is *much* greater than had it been at a chain store like Michaels. It probably would’ve been cheaper at Michaels, but only moderately so, while the quality would’ve been far worse. The clients bring in pieces like true artifacts: original paintings, war flags, and original maps. A bit much for my pop art posters. I can’t say I would get more than two or three of my favorite pieces done here, and then probably consider a Groupon for a piece I might not want done quite as well from another independent framing shop.
