Such a pleasure watching an appliance repair man know what he’s doing. We have a Kitchenaid refrigerator we bought from ABT 14 years ago. We called ABT for repair because it wasn’t dispensing cubes several months ago. Took 3 techs who said we needed $ 500 in unneeded parts before one found a wiring problem. This time when it went sour and stopped dispensing water and cubes, I called Carl. He was on time prompt, went right to the problem and repaired it in a few minutes for much less than ABT. What a breath of fresh air. So highly recommend.

Called to get our oven fixed. Ken called back same day and was able to stop over in a few hours. He accurately diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in 15 minutes at a very fair price. These guys are professionals. I highly recommend. I’ll use them the next time an appliance breaks, and upgrade to 5 stars if all goes well again.

Our Whirlpool washer decided to stop draining water on a Friday. We called 2 places who couldn’t get us on their scheduled ’til Monday and was quoted between $ 70 – 130 just for the visit (not applicable towards parts/​labor, etc). After finding Accurate here on Unilocal and seeing the good reviews, we called and long story short, Carl arrived 8AM next day (a Sunday!) and fixed the problem in about 20min for a fraction of that cost. Since the washer issue was rather simple, he also showed us how to fix the problem should it reoccur which was greatly appreciated as we are a bit challenged in the appliance department. Big bonus, he was very nice to our dog who was persistent in her pursuit of getting his his way. Would definitely contact them again in the future.

When the stackable dryer started going ‘thump’, I wanted to not notice, & hoped the thump went away (yea right), but ‘we’ could not get away with the head in the sand approach, so I called Accurate. Carl returned my call promptly, set up a next, morning visit, & took his wrench to the dryer like it was tinker toys. Corrected the bump, & suggested upgrading a couple 27 y/​o parts that were getting old & squeaky (funny how the words old & squeaky belong together). He was right on time with the parts in his vehicle, & had the dryer back together in short order.
Experienced, returns calls quickly, fair prices, comes prepared (has the parts). Very good experience ! !

Carl was so kind! Although I was in a location outside his range, he asked to hear what was going on with my fridge and so he could offer recommendations to tide me over until another person could come in to fix it. With his help it got it back up and running for the time being! He is very helpful and honest, and I highly recommend him.

I would use this company again. About 2 hours after I called, my oven was fixed. The actual job only took about 15 minutes though. The cost to replace the oven igniter was $ 130 total, $ 65 for the part (which I researched and seemed reasonable), and $ 65 for labor. Overall, reasonable price, great customer service, and a quick solution.

Our oven randomly stopped working, and I found Carl at Accurate Appliance Service by doing a Unilocal search. He showed up when he said he would, and tried to fix the oven. Carl said the part we needed would probably cost more than the stove. I appreciated his honesty, and I highly recommend him!

I called to make an appointment and got in for the next day for my oven that wasn’t lighting and had a gas smell. Carl was on vacation, so Ken came within the two hour window that he had. He came fixed it within less than 15 minutes and was very nice. Very affordable and I know who I will be calling next time I need repairs done-​Accurate Appliance Service. They seem like the «guys» next door and care about your service. Awesome job!

After reading the Unilocal reviews I contacted Accurate and was thrilled with fast response, exceptionally competent analysis of TWO appliance problems, fixed wtihin minutes, at a very reasonable cost. Carl is pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, no-​nonsense, and I won’t ever use another appliance repair service. (I tried GE’s own service first — disaster!)

Property managers are constantly dealing with appliance repair and Carl has been repairing ours for the past 20 years. Carl is an expert in his field – absolutely THE BEST. When he goes on vacation, we’ve had to use other repairmen and they can’t even come close to matching Carl’s skills. Carl promptly returns calls, comes out when he says he will, works efficiently and his fees are reasonable. He’ll tell you when it’s time to scrap an appliance as opposed to wasting money trying to repair it. (Note: He doesn’t repair microwaves. They’re so affordable now, it’s cheaper to buy a new one.) Accurate Appliance has my highest recommendation!

Carl showed up to my house 30 minutes after I called him. I have an older GE Profile Performance refrigerator that was leaking water when I tried to dispense water. I had tried to setup an appointment through GE repair which was going to charge 89 for the visit Plus and hourly rate plus materials, and they couldn’t get to my house for a week. Finding Accurate Appliance on Unilocal I gave a ring.
30 minutes later Carl is at my condo and working on the issue. 30 minutes after that I have running water from my fridge and no leaks.
I wish the rest of the country operated so efficiently — there wouldn’t be a recession if it did. Great work Carl. Highly recommend
Only comment for improvement — take credit cards, we’re in a cashless society these days, I know the card companies take a spread but the convenience factor is a cost of business, maybe invoice another 2% for credit card transactions

I called Accurate at 8:18am to see if they could possibly come and look at my (now warm) refrigerator. It is now 8:49am, and Carl just left my house, after replacing one small part, my fridge is working!!! Super Fast and Reasonable! I hope I never need to call them again, but if I do, it is Accurate all the way! :-)

Accurate Appliance Service were a recommendation through a handyman friend who also owns and maintains buildings throughout the city. They are terrific for any kind of appliance repairs. They’ve fixed two refrigerator (two different refrigerators), and my washer. They’re pretty fast — in my case, it’s usually been next day service. They’ve got a woman who takes the calls and then farms them out to the service men. They have always arrived before or at the time scheduled and they’ve always been able to solve the problem on the spot. I’ve dealt with two different service men: Ken & Carl — one’s pretty friendly, the other’s a little gruff (I’ve forgotten which is which). Prices seem reasonable, usually around $ 150 — but it really depends on what’s broken, and the cost of the replacement. It’s just really convenient to have go-​to ‘appliance’ people.
