Utilizing state of the art technology, our integrated approach to wellness combines chiropractic, massage therapy, and physical rehabilitation. At Aligned Modern Health we create a customized care plan for everyone that walks in the door; we don’t have any packages or minimum visits. Our goal is to get you back to doing the things you love as quickly as possible! Many of our Services are covered by Health Insurance, we work with all insurance companies and are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and participating providers with Medicare.

Business Owner

Dr. Frank Bucki, DC, is the lead chiropractic physician and Aligned Modern Health Streeterville. Dr. Bucki graduated in 2009 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences and prior B.S. degrees in human biology and chemistry from Illinois State University. Dr. Bucki is certified in Active Release Technique, or «ART», a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), US Master Swimmer and competitive runner. Dr. Bucki is passionate about working with spinal and orthopedic surgical candidates. He has had success helping many patients avoid surgery and is also experienced in post-​operative rehabilitation. Dr. Bucki is a veteran of the US Army and is enjoying his newest adventure, fatherhood, with his one-​year-​old son!

Aligned Modern Health — Streeterville on Ohio St. has made me a believer and supporter in Modern Health. From first stepping into the location of July 2015, I was greeted by the welcoming face and customer service oriented office manager, Shivani. Shivani was ever so accommodating to explain the intake process, billing and that she’s available to answer any questions. She is always guaranteed to put a smile on your face, as she was one of the most friendly and positive people I’ve encountered in my life.
Dr. Frank Bucki introduced himself afterwards, a great and fun rapport was already established with him earlier via phone, and after meeting him in person I knew he actually listened to my concerns and was understanding of my goals. Then my «long term» goal was to complete my first marathon with my «bad» knees, with short term goals changing weekly to bi-​weekly.
Shannon was the third amazing Align representative I met, and right away, it was a perfect fit. She showed me exercises that were key for me to complete my goals, both short and long term.
The fourth Align member that was key in my 2015 goals was Katie, the massage therapist. Her techniques coupled with Shannon’s exercises kept me on target and had my body willing and able to crush the long runs every Saturday, as well as the Chicago triathlon, while working towards the Chicago marathon.
I am happy to say I completed three events last year with Team 2End AIDS and Align Modern Health: Chicago Half-​Marathon, Chicago Triathlon and Chicago Marathon. After completing all three events all four Align team members (Dr. Bucki, Katie, Shannon, and Shivani) congratulated me, but I told them «no, I didn’t do it, WE DID IT!!!»
Align Modern Health has become one of my happy places, and I will be a devoted client in 2016 and beyond! Dr. Bucki, Shivani, Shannon and Katie are the real deal and a dream team!

I have been going to Aligned Modern Health for 2 years now. Everyone in this office is great. Katie is an awesome massage therapist. Shannon knows the exercises and stretching for optimal relief. Shivani is most pleasant and always willing to help. Dr. Bucki is the best chiropractor I have had and I’ve been going to one for 30 years. So happy to have them in my back yard. Highly recommend for acute pain, as well as maintenance.

I came into AMH to meet with Dr. Bucki and get some help for some lower back pain I incurred as a result of overcompensation stemming from ACL surgery I had 10 months ago which was causing me pain in my lower back and was further complicated by riding a motorcycle with no rear suspension (I ride a bobber, I know it’s uncomfortable but I don’t care — if I want comfort I’ll drive my car, so save your breath).
As a die hard BJJ practitioner and competitor (which is how I tore my ACL), I was reluctant to go in for help because I didn’t want to hear anything that was going to keep me «off the mats». Much to my surprise, Dr. Bucki was more than sympathetic — he was actually empathetic because as an athlete himself he could identify with the emotional difficulty involved with not training. He understood that BJJ was more than a hobby for me — that it was a lifestyle — and has dramatically helped me reduce my back pain so I could keep training.
In addition to Dr. Bucki, the entire staff is absolutely amazing. I actually look forward to going in there to talk to everyone and do physical therapy with the exceedingly capable team.
I’m probably going to start hanging out there in between meetings at the office. How many people can say they look forward going to the doctors office?

I was referred to Aligned Modern Health Streeterville by a colleague and have never looked back! This not just a chiropractic clinic, but truly a full body wellness center. Dr. Bucki, Katie, and Dr. Gemalas work together to develop a customized plan, looking at all angles and gives you the tools to continue rehabilitation at home. They genuinely care about you as a person and work hard to get you to a place or relief. Shavani is very welcoming when you walk in and always greets me with a smile! She makes scheduling, insurance etc. a breeze, and, so much so that I look forward to seeing her each week! Dr. Bucki is truly amazing, and really takes every issue into consideration, lifestyle, exercise, how much time you are at a desk, or walking around. Shannon and the PT gals do a great job walking me through the PT exercises! Katie the masseuse has truly magical hands, I’ve received a significant amount of relief after the therapeutic massages and it helps loosen muscles up to make my chiropractic adjustments more pleasant. I first started working with Dr. Gemalas when I participated in the 21-​Day Sugar Detox Group. I loved working with her so much, and felt great results that I decided to make an appointment with her. She developed a comprehensive plan of action around my food sensitivities and my vitamin deficiencies. She is very supportive throughout the process! My sleep, energy levels, and overall feeling of well-​being have improved since beginning my work with her.
The staff members at Aligned Modern Health Streeterville feel like family to me now, and I look forward to going each week. I know that I’m received the highest quality of care and customer service in every interaction there. I can’t speak highly enough of Aligned Modern Health Streeterville, Dr. Bucki, Shavani, Shannon, Katie and Dr. Gemalas and the significant improvement in my pain levels, and health!

I LOVE Aligned Modern Health. I’ve seen Dr. Gemelas for issues that I was having that continued to be undiagnosed by my regular doctor. Immediately Dr. Gemelas was able to get the right testing an ultimately diagnosis in place. I’ve also seen Kate for acupuncture who helped with a knee injury and she completely eliminated the issue and pain. Most recently I’ve started to work with their new nutritionalist Olivia who has been helping me understand nutrition and my new dietary requirements (based on what Dr. Gemelas identified) that I’ve had a difficult time working through. This place is amazing. Do not hesitate to go if you’ve been thinking about it.

Dr Bucki saved the day! My friend visiting from South Florida developed sudden back pain — as in 9 – 10 on a scale of 10 — on a Saturday. I got on Unilocal and called all the chiropractors who were open on a Saturday and all were answering machines except for Aligned Modern Health. I made the call less than an hour before closing, a real person answered and was able to accommodate my friend. The office visit went well. Dr Bucki was courteous, professional and effective. Even though it was an emergency visit, the charges were quite reasonable. Also, convenient location with cool décor and clean, state of the art furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.

Fabulous team of wellness professionals who coordinate the care to heal and prevent pain and injury. I walked in a broken woman and through a series of interventions, adjustments, rehab exercises and deep tissue massage, I feel rejuvenated and am pain-​free. Oh, by the way, Shivani, Shannon, Katie and Dr. Bucki are awesome. Brian at the front-​desk is, too, although he owns the place (nice to know an owner is willing to fill-​in when needed). Highly recommend!

Katie the masseuse is AMAZING. Super attentive and strong! Great place to go, especially for athletes. Went only a couple times and already feel a lot better. She totally got into all the tight spots that seem to plague runners. Super friendly staff, great facility! Would definitely recommend to all, especially active people.

I went in a bit skeptical for an acupuncture session but came out feeling awesome!
The front staff is courteous, efficient and helpful. My acupuncturist was super knowledgable, calming and friendly. The place has a clean and comfortable vibe.
I am so looking forward to my next appointment.
