Description

History

Established in 1970.

Founded in 1970, the American College of Prosthodontists is an educational and scientific organization, a 501©(6), created to represent the needs and interests of prosthodontists within organized dentistry, and to the public, by providing a means for stimulating awareness and interest in the field of prosthodontics. The ACP’s goal is to be the global resource for all aspects of the specialty.

The American Dental Association recognizes the ACP as the organization for the specialty of prosthodontics, and the ACP is the only prosthodontic specialty association where membership is based solely on education credentials. ACP members must be in or have completed an ADA-accredited advanced education program in prosthodontics.

The ACP has more than 3,700 members internationally including prosthodontists, dental technicians, dental students and other dental professionals who have significantly contributed to the specialty.
